Northern residents can say "welcome" in no fewer than 11 official languages. About 43,000 Northwest Territories residents are Aboriginal. Large population centers such as Yellowknife, Inuvik and Hay River are home to more recent settlers.

Today's itinerary is super interesting. We are going to visit the aboriginal huts. So, Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo got up early and started breakfast. The hardworking cook prepares delicious food for Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo every day.

Let's start with the beautiful personal photos. The aboriginal hut is not far from Enodah. It takes about half an hour to walk there. The guides with real guns and bullets led Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo. With them, I was really relieved and no longer worried about the big black bear.

After half an hour of hiking, Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo saw a small house hidden under the blue sky. The scenery was picturesque. Going further, there was a small wooden house in the distance. The sky was even bluer and the scenery was even more beautiful.

The sky is unusually blue, and the air is fresh and has a primitive smell! So comfortable. The hills are high and low, and the rocks are extremely hard.

Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo were running excitedly. They were going to the aboriginal hut, and they were still excited, even though they knew they wouldn't meet any aboriginals here.

There are also these red plants that are more than one person tall. They add more fun and beauty to autumn. Walking in them is like running happily like a child. So, Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo took photos of various poses.

In front of the hut, there is a rack supported by three pieces of wood, which is said to be used for grilling prey. Until now, there are still people passing by here while hunting. They will rest and grill here. Compared with the barbecue in Yunluo, this one is really domineering. You can also see an abandoned wooden boat of the aboriginals.

Finally, we came to this small house by the lake. This is what a quiet paradise is like. The guide would remind Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo every day not to walk around when it’s dark. This is the wilderness, the world where animals live.

At night, the sun begins to set. You are surprised to find that the night of Great Slave Lake is incredibly beautiful. The beautiful sunset is dazzling red on the lake. The trails in the heart of the forest, the wooden houses hidden in the woods, the driftwood and every plant and tree by the lake seem to be more active than in the daytime under the shining of the midnight sun. The reflection of the sun is reflected in the lake. The golden light, the trees by the lake and the floating clouds left in the sky form a beautiful silhouette, which makes people reluctant to be embedded in the scenery.

During the few days in Enodah, I really fell in love with this place. This is the real paradise. At the age of 26, it is really hard for Yunluo to imagine what the paradise people talked about before is like, but after coming here, Yunluo can temporarily believe that this is what the paradise is like.

Early in the morning. Yunluo got up early, actually it was already 11 o'clock, because he took photos of the aurora until 3 o'clock last night. The sun was warm, but the wind was still strong. Every day, I walked from the room to the restaurant on the small path made of wood and head. I was in a good mood, and the gaps always made such a sound. Walking along it became a daily pleasure.

Basically, I hurriedly left Enodah every day to start my day's journey. I didn't come back until the evening, and at night, I was only accompanied by the stars. Yunluo really didn't know what beautiful details Enodah had. Today was the day of departure. I had to take a good look at it, remember those details, and keep them in my memory forever.

First is this tent with a big black bear skin, which serves as the background of countless tents. It looks like this during the day, which is also the symbol of Enodah. Then there are two tents farther away, where you can sit and play if you are not afraid of the cold. In winter, there will be thick white snow here, which is another beautiful scenery.

Going further, you will find the road leading to the Great Slave Lake, until you reach the small pier. It is not very big, but it has all the functions. The cutest thing is the small rooms, each with an elk antler hanging on the door. I heard it is to ward off evil spirits, but the decorative effect is obvious.

There are two types of northern lights: slow motion and dancing. If it is a slow aurora, you can choose a slower shutter speed, just like shooting a river, and get a stream of aurora; but if it is a fast aurora, you need to increase the ISO and the shutter speed to avoid a blurry picture. Although you will observe the changes of the northern lights while shooting, it will help you take pictures if you imagine it in your mind beforehand.

First, the focus must be turned to manual mode, and then to infinity. It is important to focus the lens to the end of the ring, or to infinity. It should be aimed at the short line at infinity. Then, do not set the ISO too high, or there will be noise. Yunluo thinks it should not exceed 400 at most.

The aperture of 18-55 should be around 8 for better imaging. As for the exposure time, it depends on the situation. If there is no shutter release cable and the aurora is bright, expose for 30s, iso200, and aperture f4. If the aurora is dim, increase the iso or open a larger aperture.

If you have a shutter release cable, you can reduce the aperture and extend the exposure time. However, Yunluo thinks that too long an exposure is not a good idea. Because there is too much wind there, the camera will always shake, and the aurora is changing. After exposing for a few minutes, the shape of the aurora is not clear.

Experienced people will use the B mode, fix the aperture and ISO, and decide the shutter speed based on feeling, because the brightness of the aurora is constantly changing. Yunluo is not good at math. I really can't do it, so I use the A mode. Yunluo usually fixes the ISO to a maximum of no more than 1600. The longest shutter speed should not exceed 15 seconds as a basic setting. The ISO must be lower than 1600 otherwise it will become difficult to distinguish between stars and noise. 15 seconds is Yunluo's personal favorite number of seconds, which can capture the wave feeling of the aurora when it swings.

Please remember to shoot in raw mode. If you don't use a shutter release cable, remember to use the two-second shooting function, otherwise the camera will vibrate when you press the shutter, making the photo blurry. Because most people use wide-angle and fisheye lenses to shoot the aurora, the focus of the clouds is set to infinity without worrying about blurry foreground, and the aperture depends on the situation.

What does the Aurora look like? Before seeing it with your own eyes. This is definitely a question in the mind of every viewer or photographer, and Yunluo is the same! I am also afraid that the Aurora will not be as gorgeous as the photos, and I will be disappointed! However, after five nights of observation, the Aurora can be said to be illusory and ever-changing. Since there is a 360° visual effect when you look up, the effect is absolutely shocking! As for the brightness, most of them are weaker than those shown in the photos (don’t forget that there was moonlight when Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo watched...), and very few bursts are as bright as the photos. Yunluo feels that no photos or instruments can perfectly record the stunning appearance of the Aurora, and you must experience it yourself.

1. Find the right position and use the viewfinder to see the effect. 2. Set up the tripod (it is best to set it up in the car beforehand, open it, and then take it out and stick it into the snow after getting out of the car). It would be better if you bring a powerful gimbal that can rotate freely.

3. Adjust the lens focus to M, manually focus, and then turn the lens to focus infinity. Remember, it is not the end of the rotation, but the vertical line before the end. Take a test shot to see the effect 4. Remove all filters, especially CPL. The aurora is weak to begin with, and it is filtered. The UV filter cloud fall is also removed!

5. During the formal shooting, pay attention to using the widest angle to capture the maximum image, and then go back to crop the image.

Russia is so big!

Yunluo always felt that Moscow was just north of Beijing. When the plane landed in Moscow, Yunluo looked at the map on his phone and found that Moscow was actually on the same line as Dubai. There was a 4-5 hour time difference between Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo. Russia was too big.

Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo then flew from Russia to St. Petersburg. St. Petersburg is the second largest city in Russia and one of the eight major tourist cities in the world. Yunluo looked at the map again. Oh my god, isn't this the Arctic Circle? Next to it is Finland, and next to it is Sweden, which is connected to Northern Europe.
