In addition, our small commodities are prevalent there, and the things they buy and sell in the streets and alleys are not much different from those of Yunluo and An Chuyu... However, Yunluo does have a hobby of collecting similar things when walking around, and will involuntarily collect things like airplanes flying through the sky, treetops, and roofs.
Things like flower baskets and flower towers placed in the corners of hotels and temples. I collected flying planes because Chiang Mai is so small that I could see huge and clear planes flying over the morning sky, temple roofs, and street flowers and trees at any time. I collected all kinds of flower arrangements.
The flower towers are very distinctive and are decorations with a very Thai flavor. They are decorated with many rare varieties of dried and fresh flowers... In Chiang Mai, there are actually many Chinese people like Yunluo and An Chuyu's family who have nothing to do and just wander around and sit around all day. Yunluo and An Chuyu's resort is a complex of buildings surrounded by balconies on three sides.
From your balcony, you can clearly see other people's balconies. Yunluo saw that before the first day of the Chinese New Year, nine out of ten balconies were occupied during the day. They leaned on the railings to look out in the morning, and played in the open-air swimming pool in the evening... Such a holiday life can be carried out anywhere.
They may have chosen Chiang Mai just because of its suitable climate! Fortunately, Yunluo and An Chuyu's family were not so bored. Everyone calmly chose to compromise and not interfere with each other, so Yunluo had a lot of time to wander around, especially on the second day of the first lunar month, I slipped out of the hotel alone with the sunrise o(n_n)o.
Yunluo has already talked about strolling around the temples. Thailand is the only country in Southeast Asia that has not been colonized. It was very lucky to have avoided the territorial expansion of the Ming Dynasty when Yunluo and An Chuyu met them (it was said that the invading emperor happened to die at the most critical moment when their country was about to be destroyed).
The Japanese fascists were extremely kind to them, so they ignored their land. Therefore, the king has always been the supreme leader of the country, and the whole nation believes in Buddhism. It is a country with a strong sense of tradition, relatively free and democratic, and has not been invaded or oppressed. Perhaps this is the real reason why there are so many temples in Thailand.
Because it is like the Dunhuang murals of the Sui, Tang, Ming and Qing dynasties, where there is no destruction but construction, so there are more and more temples... It is absolutely a wonderful enjoyment to take a slow look at these temples in the ideal light in the early morning. But with the arrival of Chiang Mai's hot noon, you have to go to these open-air areas.
Wandering around for a long time is not a pleasant thing, so Yunluo moved to the cool indoor places - Chiang Mai Cultural and Art Center and Folk Museum. Hehe, although these two places charged Yunluo 90 baht for the entrance fee, Yunluo felt a little distressed.
(It's really fun to think about it. The ticket purchase in Chiang Mai is just the opposite of our country. Here, all temples charge admission, but all museums and exhibition halls don't charge a penny o(n_n)o) But wandering around there has really become a kind of leisure and entertainment. Yunluo even played naughty ghost for fun.
But this is actually a misunderstanding. It's a joke that good intentions lead to bad results! The cultural and arts center has automatic explanations in many languages. You can choose the one you understand by pressing a button. At first, Yunluo followed some Chinese people and heard the Chinese explanations.
But I was listening attentively when two high-nosed men came. Seeing that Yunluo had no intention of leaving (Yunluo had plenty of time anyway, so he just listened to the history of Thailand from beginning to end), they ran over and switched the language very rudely. It would be fine if they just switched to one place, but they had to change it all the way.
(So we really don’t need to belittle ourselves. Every nation has those people who are hateful. These two foreigners were just passing through. It seemed that they ran ahead of Yunluo just to change all the voices into their own language...) Okay, Yunluo will try to keep as much distance from you as possible!
But Yunluo was unable to hear the Chinese explanation because of the disturbance of the people in front, so after walking around, Yunluo went back to listen again, listening to one room after another. At this time, there were already very few tourists visiting the center. Yunluo saw an elderly couple listening to Thai and watching the exhibits (it automatically switched to Thai after the explanation in one language).
They looked like an older couple from China, and I thought they might not know how to switch languages, because the buttons on the machine were a bit complicated (you had to go to the main button to terminate the original language before you could choose your own language, and then you still had to go to the main button to press the start button to successfully switch.
At first, the two high-nosed guys didn't know how to operate. So they let Yunluo go in the first exhibition hall...) and simply ran forward to help them choose the language of all the exhibition halls as our Mandarin... As a result, when Yunluo returned along the same route, he heard that they were not speaking Mandarin!
Oh my god. I was actually a troublemaker, and I was such a naughty one! Oh, Yunluo was so dizzy. It’s just that we Asians look too similar (>_<) Hehe, but then again, I was often a little reckless when I was wandering around alone.
For example, when walking on the street, Yunluo suddenly lowered the camera he held high and it hit a little boy on the head with a thud. The boy muttered to his mother, which made her laugh: "Mom, I feel like my head is so dented that I can put half a ping-pong ball in it!"
The mother laughed when she heard this: "Nonsense, a head that gets hit will only bulge out, not dent. Look, you even broke someone's camera!" Yun Luo's face flushed when she heard this, secretly celebrating that this was a mother and son with a great sense of humor and reasonableness! Yun Luo got embarrassed again at the ticket office of the Folk Museum.
Because they kept pointing to a sign and explaining to Yunluo that there were three names and three prices on it, Yunluo thought that these three places were connected, so he showed them the tickets he bought at the art center (because Yunluo couldn't understand their extremely fast English (>_<)).
As a result, I had to waste people's time and energy explaining for Yunluo. I was so embarrassed that I quickly paid for the ticket. In the end, I didn't dare to go to the room next to the art center anymore... But sometimes Yunluo's recklessness is very useful. For example, when taking a taxi, some drivers will charge you a surcharge.
The fare is 100 baht but he will ask you for 150 or even 180 baht. Yunluo always says no when he hears them quote these prices. He would rather walk than be timid and compromise. It turns out that you don't need to walk a few more steps to meet someone who asks for a fair price. Actually, Chiang Mai is not bad.
Yunluo and An Chuyu only met a few such drivers. It is said that in Bangkok, you can always encounter drivers who deliberately introduce you to attractions and then lie to you that the Grand Palace is closed today and take you to visit this place or that place. Yunluo read a travelogue of a traveler who was deceived for three consecutive days.
Later, he simply walked there instead of taking a car, and found that the Grand Palace was open every day... So, he had to be bold and reckless when it was time to do so. There was no need to be afraid of getting embarrassed, because they didn't know who Yun Luo was anyway. Besides, if it was really a combined ticket, wouldn't I have wasted an extra 90 baht?
Leisure is also an adventure for Yunluo, there is nothing I can do. I am born this way and I can’t change it! As for Chiang Mai, my two kids said they would go there again, but Yunluo said clearly, “If it weren’t for the cherry blossom season, I wouldn’t want to come again!” Because Yunluo still has that idea.
The world is so big, there are so many good places, and it is enough to have such a grand first encounter in one fate, although Yunluo still has regrets about not seeing the most dreamy white temple and beautiful pink cherry blossoms! Anyway, if I go there again next time, Yunluo will go all the way northeast from Bangkok, because there is a place called Ulong between Bangkok and Chiang Mai.
There is a "sea of red lotus" which is known as the second wonder of the world and it happens to be open in winter...Okay, I won't tempt myself. Let's show you some of Yunluo's casual photos. See if they reflect Yunluo's leisure time! The sunset silhouette of Songde Temple, Yunluo was standing on the curb and took the photo.
Because I looked back and saw it when I returned to the car. It turned out that in addition to the pink light balls jumping ethereally between the white pagodas, if you stand farther away and look at it, there is also such a beautiful sunset! The dawn on the balcony suddenly appeared. Every day, a large piece of red clouds would float up first, and when they were bright, the crescent moon would be as bright as a crystal blue gemstone flashing in the cold light...
Unfortunately, the clouds fell a little late, and the moonlight disappeared very quickly. Sunrise by the river, this day is pretty good, because there are a lot of clouds as a backdrop. They set off its brilliant light very well! Monks sitting in rows in the Bhuping Palace drinking juice, their monk robes are orange and red.
The colors of these bags are so pink o(n_n)o Two little Miao girls on the long stone steps of Shuanglong Temple. A tourist gave them a bag of cakes, and they shared them one by one, with very happy expressions on their faces!
Hehe o(n_n)o These two are exactly the same as the girls that Yunluo and Anchu met in the south! The majestic white lions in front of the Pasing Temple are so dazzling under the blue sky. This is the first picture that Yunluo took on the day of his solo trip! Early in the morning of the first day of the first lunar month, Yunluo took a picture of a grass dragon catching the New Year's money on the swing in the rising sun.
Hehe. This dragon is Yu'er's New Year's gift, and these Thai baht are her lucky money... The small flower arrangement on a coffee table in the hotel lobby was taken while waiting for the travel agency to pick up Yunluo and An Chuyu to participate in the elephant riding activity. The colorful lily of the valley is the protagonist of the flower arrangement. A funny little Buddha statue in the inconspicuous flower bed of Shuanglong Temple.
Surrounded by gurgling water and flowers, it is meditating quietly on the frog Buddha platform. Look! The plane that appears in various background pictures is here: This is the little black shadow flying in the light under the morning sun! In the square in front of the Chiang Mai Culture and Art Center, the plane flies over the branches of the pink flowers, which is very beautiful and pure white and blue.
Yunluo was able to take this photo because he was attracted by the pink tree and kept looking up... The AirAsia planes whizzed past the Chiang Mai University flame tree. Their striking red and white colors are very eye-catching no matter where they are! The planes seen while walking on Nimman Road, AirAsia flights are much more sincere in Southeast Asia!
An airplane flying over the roof of the small Buddha Hall at Wat Chiang Man! Every time I see it, there is a beautiful background of blue sky, deep or light... This small reservoir was also where Yunluo walked for a long time. The sun was very strong on the trip to Suthep Mountain that afternoon. This reservoir is located high above the palace, with a smoothie shop next to it.
The two of Yunluo's family were drinking strawberry smoothie and orange juice in the store, and Yunluo followed the red, purple, white, dark red, and apricot pea flowers and walked around. There were beautiful butterflies flying among the flowers in the deserted place. From time to time, fountains disturbed the tranquility of the water. The reservoir was surrounded by flowers.
There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!
Bhuping Palace was Yunluo's first stop in Chiang Mai. Yunluo was very surprised by its presentation, because the flowers he took along the way turned out to have ideal effects... This palace pavilion is the most Thai style. Nowadays, the buildings in the city are similar all over the world, even in Chiang Mai.
This kind of pavilion is rare! The panoramic view of Peishan Miao Village is still a scene of flowers filling the valley. There is a postcard sales point at the entrance of the village. Some villagers introduced the history of the village based on the scenes on the postcards. These simple bungalows used to be bamboo-built uniform stilt houses, and the area of the valley was larger than it is now.
The only flowers planted here are poppies. Every December to January, the poppies are in full bloom, and the whole valley will be in full bloom with a large area of rich and gorgeous flowers, which is very beautiful! Now the fields on the high slopes have become strawberry plantations, and there are many stalls selling strawberries, some of which are fresh and some are dried strawberries.
Yunluo bought a pack, but unfortunately my careless child lost it after eating only one (>_<) Yunluo and An Chuyu continued to look for the beautiful scenery they imagined after seeing these, and they cried out that they were cheated after finding out that there was no other. In fact, the ticket price is only 10 baht, and it is pretty good to see these!
In fact, the scenery of this small river is dull and rough, and it is not the best place to watch the sunrise. However, the rays of light that penetrated the clouds greeted the clouds to fall... Many times, I felt that the sky in Chiang Mai was not blue enough, at least not the kind of particularly high and refreshing blue. I couldn’t figure out the effect of the local shooting, it seemed that those brightly colored subjects reflected it.
It makes it so delightful! The little bronze man and dog were favored by the early sun. They stood under a big tree with green vines, and their bronze bodies turned copper red. This is a small decoration of the hotel. The resort where Yunluo and An Chuyu met didn't have much green space, but there were quite a lot of these small bronze statues, one by the door of each house and at the corner of the stairs.
The hotel has a small pier, and cannas of various colors grow beside the pier. The morning clouds are reflected on the river surface, and the picture looking through these flowers is very beautiful. Unfortunately, it is backlit, and the reflections of flowers and clouds cannot be perfect... The monk who got up early was also sent to this pier. He kept looking around and saw no one, but at that time someone received him!
Yunluo and her friend's big bed was placed with a towel elephant on the first night. There was also a pink fabric elephant at the corner of the bed. The mineral water bottle was covered with clothes! All hotels in Chiang Mai use glass bottles like this, which is also a kind of environmental protection. Plastic bottles are really too wasteful.
My friend said the water in the bottle was of good quality and a little sweet o(n_n)o Yunluo and An Chuyu's suite's small dining table, all tables were decorated with cozy and small flower arrangements, and on the coffee table on the first night of stay there were fruits and a plate of fresh lily of the valley flowers. Because I have free time, I always like to take a few photos...
The Thai tatami on the left corner of the balcony is quite comfortable to sit and lie on. The balcony is very spacious, with a coffee table, chairs and a very wide swing chair, but there are too many pigeons. They seem to regard this as their territory, and there are always a lot of bird droppings. The hotel specifically stipulates that clothes cannot be dried on the balcony, which should be a rule for Yunluo and An Chuyu!
They also stipulate that you cannot wear slippers from the house outdoors... A bronze decoration in the hotel. Roosters are the most popular animal in Thailand besides elephants! You must take off your shoes when entering the Buddha Hall in the hotel. Yunluo took this photo for the two flower towers in front of the Buddha. Employees who worship in front of the Buddha shrine outside the hotel gate in the morning.
Many of them wore festive red tops. White chrysanthemums were placed in front of the shrine, and a large number of golden flower balls were hung around the neck of the Bodhisattva. On the red table were five-color fruit plates, a large plate of chicken, and rice and rice cakes wrapped in red paper. Unlike us, many of their incense sticks were directly inserted on these foods and fruits.
(There is also a cylindrical porcelain in the middle of the white chrysanthemum for sticking incense) After the worship, they also set off long firecrackers... The Thai rice dumplings in the street shops are wrapped in rice leaves and are similar in shape, but they are simply inserted with toothpicks, so they should be difficult to preserve...
This is really a testament to the diligence and intelligence of our Chinese people. There are many styles of folk rice dumplings in Jiangnan... A fruit stall in a small farmer's market near the Yunluo and An Chuyu resort. This purple-red wax apple is much more delicious than the one in Yunluo and An Chuyu in China, sweet and super juicy.
It breaks when touched. The same goes for red snake fruit! I don't see the red core of the dragon fruit. The taste of pineapple and coconut is average, but the orange is very delicious. The various fruits in Thailand are the best in Southeast Asia, but it seems that Malaysia is still cheaper, because such a mango costs about 7 or 8 yuan. (To be continued...)
