Chapter 1300 is Love

The Jameson Valley was torn apart by their battle. The Gundongola Tribal Council, a non-profit organization, has been fighting to reclaim their ancestral territory since 1995 and even made a virtual video on its website.

In many places in the Blue Mountains, you can still see traces of the ancestors of the Aboriginals. The Blue Mountains was the most important coal mining center during the colonial period of Australia, and traces of coal mining can be seen everywhere in the Blue Mountains, including the now famous Blue Mountain train, which was an important means of transportation at the time, but has now been renovated.

It also set the world record for the steepest train track in the world, with a slope of 51 degrees. Although it is not as thrilling as a roller coaster, it still makes people a little nervous. The staff at Blue Mountain are all very handsome! (Please forgive me for being a fangirl, I can't help but post a few photos).

Early in the morning, after breakfast, the group headed to Sydney's Olympic Park. Accompanied by the morning light, the beautiful scenery was still there even through the car window. Many people don't like to travel in the car, thinking it is a waste of time, but Yunluo thinks that if you appreciate it carefully, you can find beautiful scenery everywhere.

Now, just look through the car window and discover the beauty of the city as you drive fast. Sydney Olympic Park covers an area of 640 hectares and is adjacent to the suburb of Homebush Bay in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was the venue for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and is currently used to host various sports and cultural activities.

Trying hard to find the names of Chinese athletes... It was already noon when we left the Olympic Sports Park. Today's lunch, haha, just thinking about it makes me happy, because I'm going to eat seafood! Sydney Fish Market is the largest fish market in Sydney and even Australia that integrates wholesale, retail and catering. It is also a good place for citizens to enjoy and purchase seafood.

There are seafood restaurants with different characteristics in the market, offering Chinese, Western and Japanese seafood delicacies. The main customers of the market are Christie's and Peter's at the entrance. The various seafood stalls in the store are in front of you, including deep-sea lobsters, whole plump salmon, huge king crabs, glittering prawns, fresh oysters...

There is a wide variety of seafood. Grilled, sashimi, fried, steamed, stir-fried with garlic... a variety of unique cooking methods are mouth-watering. In addition to enjoying the rich food in the seafood restaurant, tourists can also buy seafood in the wide variety of fresh fish department. Hand over the fresh and tender seafood to the chef in the cooked food department to cook it according to your taste requirements.

Cook it into a rich and delicious seafood meal. Visitors can also buy a bottle of wine in the store next to it, and go to the open-air dining table by the harbor to enjoy the sea view while tasting the food, which is a unique flavor. There are also bakery shops, large fruit supermarkets, and wine stores in the market, so visitors can buy their favorite food as they please.

In addition to tasting the cooking skills of famous chefs and enjoying a special seafood meal, visitors can also learn exquisite cooking skills. Visitors can learn the cooking methods of seafood dishes from China, Japan, Italy, Thailand and other countries at the Sydney Seafood Cooking School in the fish market and try their hand at cooking a seafood feast by themselves. Sydney Fish Market is a paradise for seafood delicacies!

After filling their stomachs, Yunluo and Anchuyu set off for Bondi Beach. The name of Bondi Beach comes from the aboriginal language, bondi, which means the sound of waves hitting the shore. Bondi Beach (pronounced: 'bond-eye' along with it sounds like "bond") is 1 kilometer long, although it is just a beach coastal town.

It is the oldest surfing center in Australia and the traditional surfing lifesaving training base in Australia. Walk along the cliff view road from Bondi to Coogee. You can stroll slowly, swim, and have a cup of coffee in the cafe along the way. If you want to understand how the locals enjoy life, the best way is to go to Bondi Beach.

Its original name means "the noise of the rolling tide", which is very appropriate to describe this beach. It is the essence of Sydney in summer or winter. The beach life is very comfortable. In summer, it is also a great place for sunbathing and surfing. Visitors can also watch a carnival here.

Accompanied by the afterglow, we said goodbye to the sunny beach. Back in downtown Sydney, we still had some time, so we went to the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens. The botanic gardens are open to the public free of charge, and citizens and tourists can relax and exercise here. The Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens, originally the first farm in Australia, is close to the Sydney Opera House and the central business district.

It was established in 1816 under the auspices of the then Governor Macquarie. Due to the local suitable climatic conditions, which are very conducive to the collection of plants in the botanical garden, the garden collects and displays more than 7,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants, many of which were introduced from abroad during the colonial period, such as citrus, and some were introduced during surveys in China and the Pacific region.

Some of them were even obtained through seed exchange during the period of the First Farm, the predecessor of the Botanical Garden. Plant signs provide historical information on plant collection, and the characteristic garden areas are a reflection of the history of the Botanical Garden. The main buildings and facilities in the garden include: the Palace Garden, the Palm Garden, the Fern Area, the First Farm, the Lowland Garden, and the Exhibition Greenhouse.

The National Museum of New South Wales, etc. attracts a large number of tourists every year. Yunluo and Anchuyu went to Sydney in mid-September, which was spring, with lush greenery and blooming flowers everywhere.

Today's theme is carnival. Shopping in the morning, yacht party in the afternoon, and dinner at Luna Park in the evening. Such a day is really exciting! Women are born shopaholics. When it comes to shopping, they are like chicken blood. There are several shopping places in the itinerary, but unfortunately the prices in Australia are a bit high.

In addition, there seemed to be terrorist activities in Sydney during this period, so Yunluo and An Chuyu's wool product purchase plan was put on hold and they could only walk around the hotel. They got up early in the morning and walked around Darling Harbour. Although the temperature difference between morning and evening in Sydney during the Spring Festival was still quite large, the bright sunshine in the morning did add some warmth.

The first stop today is the Queen Victoria Building (QVB), located on George Street, the most prosperous street in the center of Sydney. This dome-shaped Roman-style building, completed in 1898, is the Queen Victoria Building. For Australians, the Queen Victoria Building is a shopping mall.

It is a good place for leisure, a witness to history, and the pride of Australians. The famous fashion designer Pierre Cardin praised it as "the most beautiful shopping center in the world". It was originally used as a market and office, and the building itself began to fall into disrepair in the 1960s and 1970s.

There were plans to demolish this extraordinary historic monument to build a civic center and underground parking. Thanks to careful restoration work, the 7-story building has been transformed into a historical tourist attraction and a beautiful shopping center with a glass dome at the top. The 200-meter-long building occupies an entire city block and contains more than 180 stores.

The 4 main floors of the building are fronted by elegant Victorian-style shops. Although the QVB Building is named after Queen Victoria, she has never been there. In the past 100 years, the only queen who has actually visited the QVB Building is the current Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.

Queen Elizabeth II left a mysterious letter about the building in 1986, but she told the mayor of Sydney that the letter would not be made public until 2085. The two large clocks in the QVB building are very distinctive. The clock on the south side is said to have been built in 1986 by a craftsman who designed clocks for the British royal family.

The clock is modeled after Belmoor Castle in Scotland, a favorite holiday destination for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. A musical puppet show is played on the hour. Another giant clock was made by a local Sydney craftsman in 2000. It is the largest hanging clock in the Southern Hemisphere and chimes every half hour.

The double-decker sightseeing bus in downtown Sydney stops at QVB. Yunluo realizes how expensive Sydney is. After a lot of shopping, he bought two opal necklaces and a few bags of handmade chocolates. As for the wool scarf and hat that he had been thinking about, he really couldn't bear to buy them! Lunch time is so important for a foodie!

Cyren is a seafood restaurant located in Darling Harbour. While eating delicious food, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Darling Harbour. Food and scenery, what a perfect match! After lunch, it was Yunluo and Anchu's yacht party. Take a yacht around Sydney Bay and enjoy the Opera House and Harbour Bridge from all angles. The cruise ship docked at Lunapark Pier.

The dinner venue where Yunluo and An first met was held. Sydney Luna Park is located in the north of Sydney Harbour, built at the foot of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and opened in 1935. It is a collective childhood memory of Sydney people and is the most popular amusement park in Sydney. Its classic slogan is "Just for Fun".

The purpose is to allow people of all ages to enjoy excitement and entertainment. "It's right to bring children to Luna Park, and it's also wise to bring lovers", which shows the great charm of Luna Park. Everyone can find their own entertainment space here. The best time to play Luna Park is from dusk to sunset, under the decoration of various colors of lights.

What is presented to the tourists is a fairytale world with colorful lights, and the pleasant environment pushes the joyful atmosphere to a climax. The symbol of Sydney Luna Park is the big smiling face-shaped gate, which is 9 meters wide and very festive, which should mean welcoming visitors from all directions with a smile. There are many entertainment projects in the park, such as roller coasters, carousels, space shuttles, and magic castles.

Crazy mice, electric bumper cars, beetles, Ferris wheels, etc., let you enjoy the most exciting entertainment. Luna Park is a gift from the Sydney Harbour Bridge Construction Company to the people of Sydney, because this park was built with the remaining steel after the Sydney Harbour Bridge was built.

Practical guide: The cost of the entire trip is 12,600 yuan. Because it is a group tour, not an ordinary tour group, the specific itinerary expenses are not very accurate. However, many attractions in Sydney are open to the public for free, such as the Royal Botanic Gardens, beaches, art galleries, churches, etc. The consumption level in Sydney is much higher than that in China, to be more specific.

For many things, the price in China multiplied by the exchange rate is the Australian price. I thought it would be much cheaper to buy wool products in Australia, especially uggs, cashmere scarves, hats, etc., but after arriving, I found that they are still very expensive. A pair of uggs costs nearly a thousand dollars. Cashmere and wool products are even more expensive.

Especially alpaca wool products, a hat costs 700-800. Originally, they planned to go to the wool market, but unfortunately, when Yunluo and An Chuyu went there, there was a terrorist incident in Sydney. The company was worried about the safety of Yunluo and An Chuyu, so they were generally not allowed to move around by themselves at night or walk too far.

No choice. I could only buy a few things in the duty-free shop on the last day. If I were to choose a gift, sheep oil would be a good choice. It is very remote, and a bottle costs less than 20 yuan. It would be nice to bring it back to my colleagues. In addition to wool products, Australia also has very famous opals. The first one in the picture below was bought in the Queen Victoria Building.

The discounted price is 99 Australian dollars. The one below is more expensive. I bought it at the airport duty-free shop, which cost nearly 200 Australian dollars. In addition to sheep oil and opals, I also bought a lot of small things. For example, papaya oil (said to be very effective for burns and acne scars) cost 3.5 Australian dollars, which was just enough to spend the coins in my hand, because Australian dollar coins are not circulated in China.

There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!

I can't exchange it into RMB when I return home. If you have a lot of coins when traveling to Australia, why not buy some small things like this? Yunluo and An Chuyu stayed at the Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour. This hotel is very expensive. I checked online and it costs more than 1,000 RMB per night. But there are not many facilities and accommodation conditions. The bed is very comfortable.

Another thing to point out is that the elevators in Sydney hotels are based on the room card and the floor. Now many domestic hotels are also like this. But this is very inconvenient for Yunluo and An Chuyu to go out together. Without the card, you can't even go through the door. The fire escape can only be used for exit, not entry. Unless someone helps you open the door, you will be trapped in the stairwell.

Yunluo almost fell in the stairwell! There are many Chinese people in Sydney, so you don't have to worry too much about language problems, especially shopping and restaurants. There are basically Chinese people everywhere. But in the fish market, not many people can speak Chinese. The temperature difference between morning and night in Sydney that Yunluo and Anchu met is quite large, so they brought clothes for summer, spring and autumn.

Sydney is a clean city. The road traffic is very orderly. Pedestrians generally don't cross the road randomly, so Sydney drivers drive very fast because they don't think someone will suddenly cross the road. In Sydney, you have to press the button under the traffic light column on the side of the road to cross the crosswalk, otherwise you will never wait for the green light.

Yunluo and An Chuyu were received by a friend in Melbourne. After arriving in Melbourne, the friend drove Yunluo and An Chuyu directly to the Great Ocean Road. Traffic in Australia drives on the left, which is the opposite of mainland China. Look to the right first when crossing the road. The local trucks are very beautiful, just like Transformers, much more beautiful than those in China!

At noon, Yunluo and An Chuyu passed by a town called Colac for lunch and ordered a McDonald's, which tasted similar to that in China. They continued to drive to the Great Ocean Road, where the coastal highway was very beautiful. Yunluo and An Chuyu came to the Twelve Apostles. There was a map at the door, indicating the locations of the parking lot, toilets, etc.

After walking a short distance, we finally saw the legendary twelve disciples, but now there are only 7 left. There are still two here. Yunluo and An Chuyu continued to drive back to Geelong. On the way, everyone was enjoying the beautiful scenery when they suddenly saw a wild koala crossing the road.

Yunluo and An Chuyu quickly stopped the car to take pictures of it. When the koala saw Yunluo and An Chuyu, it panicked and quickly crawled to the side of the road, then began to think about how to go. Yunluo and An Chuyu followed it and took pictures along the way. It is said that koalas sleep 17-20 hours a day, and when they are awake, they spend half of their time thinking about what to do next.

The koala finally fled in a hurry, taking half a minute to climb 2 meters. Yunluo and An Chuyu saw it finally climbed up a tree and stopped moving, probably sleeping. On the way later, Yunluo and An Chuyu regretted not picking up the koala, which was a very rare opportunity.

An Australian friend said that he had been in Australia for more than ten years, but this was the first time he saw a wild koala. We continued to move forward. It was getting dark, but the Great Ocean Road was still very beautiful. They are both coastal roads, but I don't know which one is better, Highway 1 in the United States or the Great Ocean Road in Australia. I will compare them when I have the opportunity to drive Highway 1 in the future.

Back in Geelong at night, Yunluo and An Chuyu went to a pizza shop for dinner. The decoration of this shop was very unique. That night, Yunluo and An Chuyu stayed in a big house in Queenscliff, called Bonsaibeachhouse. This is a big house with 3 bedrooms.

Yunluo will explain more about this house in the [Accommodation] section of the [Practical Guide] later. Since they had spent the previous night on the plane and there was a 2-hour time difference here, Yunluo and An Chuyu went to bed early and prepared to continue tomorrow. The trip to Australia has just begun.

Queenscliff - Sorrento - Phillip Island - Churchill Island [Itinerary Description] Today Yunluo and An Chuyu will drive to the port of Queenscliff, take the ferry to Sorrento, and then drive to Churchill Island to visit the Australian farm.

Go to Phillip Island to see the little penguins in the evening, and then return to Melbourne. Driving route reference map: [Attractions] Phillip Island is a resort famous for its fairy penguins. On Summerland Beach in the southwest of the island, there are many of the world's smallest penguins. (To be continued...)
