To understand what is majestic, you must go in and see it yourself. Every piece of colored glass tells a religious story. If Yunluo was a believer, he would come here to pray every day and appreciate every piece of glass carefully. Not far from the church is the famous Hyde Park, which is very important for Sydney people.
It should be considered another good place for citizens to relax and have fun, but for tourists, it is a good place to view St. Mary's Cathedral from a distance. Look, the background of the fountain is the cathedral~ It feels quite good, right~ A foreigner (in a cyan shirt) and a little Chinese boy (in a blue shirt) are playing chess.
The little Chinese boy is so amazing~~ A child with a strong aura~~ After walking for most of the day, he was still hungry, so he had to find something to eat quickly. It was almost three o'clock in the afternoon, what should he eat? When he arrived in Sydney, he must try pancakes on the rock, so Yunluo and An Chuyu took a car back to circular quay, which was a giant oil tanker parked on the shore of the quay.
An Chuyu's dream is to travel around the world on a cruise ship. Sooner or later, Yunluo will overcome his fear of cruise ships and help him fulfill his dream. The last picture is of pancakes on the rock. I am drooling just looking at it. Actually, Yunluo and An Chuyu ordered a large portion of pancakes, but they wanted ones with chocolate sauce.
A lot of tan. The photos are really disgusting. You know. Of course, the taste is excellent. It was 4pm when we had enough food and drink. For a city where the sun sets at 8pm, it would be a pity to go back to the hotel to rest. We decided to go to Manly Beach and take a boat to the pier.
This was the first time that Yunluo and An Chuyu used mymulti2 to take a ferry. These ferries only require swiping the card when boarding, but not when disembarking. So, Yunluo and An Chuyu used this mymulti2 to board the ferry smoothly. When they came back, they swiped the card at Manly but it showed that the card was invalid. Yunluo and An Chuyu asked the blond handsome guy.
They said that Manly must use MyMulti3, and Yunluo and An Chuyu were not really clear about the division of areas 2 and 3. They could only say that Yunluo and An Chuyu used this card to come to Manly. They smiled, swiped their employee cards, and let Yunluo and An Chuyu pass. Yunluo and An Chuyu quickly went to "Happy New Year" haha.
Is this taking advantage of others? Or is it a system failure? ? ? Up to now, Yunluo doesn't know whether manlybeach is within the scope of mymulti2. The map information in my hand has all kinds of opinions. If anyone knows, please leave a message to Yunluo. It has been bothering me for a long time~~~ Thank you~~~ The above is a masterpiece of An Chuyu.
The girl on the boat was accidentally photographed. What is the true meaning of beach trip? Wearing a bikini to go into the water? Or playing beach volleyball? Australians will definitely say noono, the meaning of beach trip is that the family puts on sunscreen and lies on the grass to dry salted fish, haha. As an authentic Chinese, Yunluo still thinks that white skin is more in his heart.
Even though I was dressed neatly, I still followed others and basked in the sun for a while. When the sun was setting, I took the ferry westward and saw the last ray of sunlight shining through the skyscrapers in Sydney CBD. I was lucky enough that I couldn't block it. I returned to the hotel at 9pm and just happened to catch the fireworks at Darling Harbour.
I quickly set up the tripod and took the above photo~ The house with sky view saved me the ticket of Sydney Tower, haha~ How can you not go to the fish market in Sydney? It would be as regrettable as not going to Tsukiji Market in Tokyo, Japan. Yunluo and Anchu met each other, who were left with a perfect impression of Tsukiji Market, the world's largest fish market.
I have to go to Sydney Fish Market to enjoy the food. However, it is indeed as the predecessors said. This place has become a place crowded with Chinese people. Many stalls have Chinese signs, the clerks are all Chinese, and the customers are all Chinese tourists. Of course, this is not the main point. The main point is that the things here are expensive beyond imagination.
While showing the picture, he said, "This is a big fish supermarket next to the parking lot. It is said that locals come here to buy seafood, but they are all raw, so it is not easy for tourists to buy them." Yunluo walked around inside and saw that there were indeed more locals, and there were almost no group tourists. As tourists, Yunluo and An Chuyu could only go to this crowded seafood supermarket.
There are both raw and cooked food here, but most of the visitors are tourists, so naturally there are more people in front of the cooked food stalls. It was almost 11 o'clock and there were not many people here, so they decided to walk around. When Yunluo and An Chuyu came back after their walk around, there were long queues in front of each stall, and there was no place to sit even on the lawn outside.
Yunluo and An Chuyu were both dissatisfied with the place, mainly because of the price. The food in the lower right corner is what Yunluo and An Chuyu bought: 6 scallops, 2 shrimp skewers, and half a lobster, all for AUD54. The taste was very average. An Chuyu was afraid that they had miscalculated, so he went back to ask the price of each item. Alas, it was just that expensive.
You can buy it if you want. When An Chuyu thought about the seafood platter that Yunluo and An Chuyu had on the first day, and how they only paid AUD130 for such good food in such a good environment, An Chuyu expressed strong dissatisfaction! Yunluo was really unwilling to associate the poor quality and price here with the number of Chinese tourists. If you are not happy with the food, you will not be happy, so you leave here in a huff.
We decided to take the ferry again, and this time our destination was Watson Bay. The unpalatable fish market in the picture above meant that Yunluo and An Chuyu didn't eat too much, so the first thing we did when we arrived at Watson Bay was to find something to eat. This Doyles is pretty good, it's right at the dock where we just got off the boat, and the fried squid rings are very tender, alas.
It's not true that you can only eat cheap and delicious food in places with fewer Chinese people. The big box of squid rings and French fries in the picture above is more suitable for young people than Manly Beach, while the latter is more suitable for family outings. Watson Bay beach is a bar street with loud music.
No love, just skip it. It does not reduce the magnificence of the scenery. The small red-roofed houses are built on the cliffs. Only those who visit in person will be shocked by the scenery here. It was already past 6pm when I returned to the townhall. It was not dark yet, but the shops were closed. Yunluo was still not used to the fact that Australian shopping malls closed so early these days.
Yunluo prefers to visit scenic spots during the day and go shopping at night. Does this mean that Yunluo must go shopping in the mall during the day? But closing the store is not a bad thing. At least there are fewer people, so Yunluo and An Chuyu can quietly appreciate the beauty of QVB. The so-called QVB is the most famous mall in Sydney.
No doubt about it, because it is not just a shopping mall, but more like a cultural relic. A museum, a building with a bit of history, as the picture above says ~ This part is an appreciation post, I won’t interrupt and will go shopping all day tomorrow ~~~ Good night Sydney.
Nothing is particularly cheap in Australia. All luxury goods are not attractive enough due to the exchange rate. However, uggs are really cheap. I bought so many that I didn't even take pictures during the day of shopping. However, a friendly reminder, DFS, not far from Circular Quay, is my favorite one-stop shopping place.
Of course, the staff can speak Chinese~~~~ I just post two pictures for your reference. Why come to Australia at the end of the year, why celebrate the New Year here, one of the main reasons is today's New Year's Eve fireworks~ Due to the time difference, Sydney is one of the first major cities to enter the New Year, and it also has one of the world's top five New Year's Eve fireworks.
It can be said that this New Year's Eve fireworks attracted the attention of the whole world and also attracted tourists from all over the world. Therefore, as a national event, there were various strategies for watching the fireworks several days or even weeks in advance, including where is the best place to watch the fireworks, how to reserve seats, etc. Many people even queued up all night to occupy a good seat.
As Yunluo wrote above, the place where Mrs. Macquarie's chair is located is the best place to watch fireworks. But Yunluo and An Chuyu are ordinary tourists, unable to compete with the media from all over the world, nor are they fanatical photography enthusiasts. As long as they can see the fireworks from a good angle, they will be satisfied.
Yunluo and An Chuyu arrived at Circular Quay at noon. Although this is not the best place to watch the fireworks, you can tell how popular the fireworks are just by looking at the huge crowds of people. See the picture above! This is when they arrived at noon. There were already huge crowds of people. All the good places to watch the fireworks had police limit the number of people.
It is said that this location is not the most popular place to watch the fireworks, but it was still closed at 3 pm. The small green umbrella above is all the equipment of Yunluo and An Chuyu, tied to the tripod, at least Yunluo will not be exposed to the sun. You know, the temperature today is 30+ degrees, and the sun is very hot. They are all traveling with their families.
With a mat, a pillow, a stool, and at least a small bench, Yunluo and An Chuyu could only sit on the ground. But Yunluo was still very grateful, because An Chuyu cleverly tied the small green umbrella to the tripod, so at least she didn't have to hold the umbrella. You know, Sydney sunset is around 8 o'clock, does Yunluo have to hold the umbrella for 7 hours?
It was 1pm, 11 hours before the fireworks started. Tears. Nothing happened, not even the internet. The reason might be that there were too many people and the base station's network was not enough. Basically, I could only make calls, and I couldn't check Weibo or photoshop at all. Would Yunluo tell you that Yunluo's T-shirt only cost $10?
Will Yunluo tell you that this is bought by Giordano? I can't accept the reality that Australians only need 10 dollars to buy a short-sleeved shirt. Their graduates also spend 40,000 or 50,000 dollars a year. Borrow the Australian flag from a Japanese girl and pose for a photo. In fact, tourists from all countries are basically friendly, as long as you don't invade the territory occupied by others with blankets and floor mats.
It was 6pm, and they were getting a little impatient. After working on the hard marble floor for more than 10 hours, Yunluo and An Chuyu both felt pain in their buttocks the next day, and it was hard to sit still. Look at the picture, there are people everywhere. It was finally dark, and now Yunluo couldn't remember how he had survived the day.
Hurt. Tsk tsk, the place above is where the rich and handsome are. Even the Meriton Hotel on Kent Street where Yunluo could not see the fireworks at all costs 8,000+ RMB a day. I wonder how much this more upscale hotel where you can watch the fireworks without queuing costs? Yunluo guessed, 20,000+ RMB? ? ?
It's all just guesswork. Of course, the rich have other ways to play, such as booking a dinner on the shore, the rumored AUD 600/person, or booking a ship to watch the fireworks in the sea, the rumored AUD 698/person. Yunluo and Anchuyu, these poor little guys, should just sit on their butts until they turn purple. Tears again.
This is the only photo of Yunluo and An Chuyu that is worth showing off. The reason is that there is no good angle or position. There are people holding hands in front of the camera lens, hahaha. However, it is enough to feel it~~~ I downloaded a few photos from the Internet for you to see. I would like to state in advance that all the following photos are from the Internet.
The clouds fell just for everyone to appreciate, there is no other meaning. Tsk tsk, a good angle and a good camera are different~~ After the show, I rushed back to the hotel. The sound of the police evacuating outside the window continued until after 2 o'clock in the morning. When I returned to the room, I saw the New Year's Eve chocolates given by the hotel.
The first day of the new year at Sydney University is a new beginning, and this should be Yunluo's last day in Australia. No matter how late I came back last night, I still have to struggle to get up today. As mentioned above, Yunluo and An Chuyu couldn't afford to live in Meriton for the last three days, so they moved to North Sydney, right in Milsonspoint.
There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!
Although the price is much cheaper than Meriton's 8,000 RMB per day, it is still too expensive for Yunluo and An Chuyu. The price of this very ordinary Vibehotel for three days is AUD1,550, which is 3,000 RMB per day. It's too expensive.
The only thing worth recommending is the good location, downstairs is Lunapark. Let's go downstairs to see Lunapark first, Luna Park~ The Luna Park in the picture above is actually a children's playground. Everyone brings their children to play, so Yunluo doesn't need to join in the fun, just check in at the door~ Can you hold up the three faces in the picture above?
Haha, Lunapark is not only a good place to visit, but also a good place to see the bridge and opera house in North Sydney. Yunluo came here purely to check in. It is said that the house that has not changed for hundreds of years is called Susanna House. Afterwards, I talked to my friends who have lived in Sydney for many years, and they didn't know this place at all, haha.
It's all for tourists. When you arrive in Sydney, you must go to the university that Yunluo and An Chuyu rejected three years ago, the University of Sydney. Is it to make yourself feel at ease? Or to make yourself regret it? In fact, people at different stages of growth have such different perspectives and care about such different things.
If time could go back, would Yunluo come here to study? It must be said that the University of Sydney is a school that Yunluo feels is so high-end, and the campus is full of scenery. I don’t know what this Wesley College teaches. If Yunluo is a graduate student here, will he have the opportunity to take a class here?
Although I don't have the opportunity to study here, it's nice to just sit here and do nothing. If Yunluo had come here to study, he would have stayed after graduation. Would he have worn this outfit to visit his alma mater? Maybe to entertain relatives and friends who came to Sydney to play? Would he have taken this photo?
The main building of Sydney University If Yunluo’s university could be so dreamy, Yunluo would never skip classes and would study hard~~ Before leaving, I must take another look at Sydney and take some photos of the night view of Sydney. Maybe I will never come here again in my lifetime. After all, the world is so big and there are so many landscapes that I have not seen.
No matter how good and unforgettable I think this place is, the chances to visit it again are still very rare. The bridge without fireworks as the background is so quiet~ Good night Sydney, good night Yunluo's dream.
All accommodation was booked on booking.com, and the results were pretty good, although there was a bug after they came back. The Sydney Mantrachatswood Hotel, which Yunluo and An Chuyu had canceled early, still charged Yunluo's credit card. Yunluo and An Chuyu immediately contacted booking.com, and of course they helped Yunluo solve the problem.
However, due to fluctuations in the exchange rates of the Australian dollar and the US dollar against the RMB, the refunded money was only 978USD. Yunluo lost 200 RMB in total. It was infuriating that the accommodation along the way was chosen based on the requirements of economy and comfort. Moreover, the most important thing was that Yunluo and An Chuyu did not book it until the end of October.
That is, it was less than two months in advance, and the choices were really limited, so I booked the following hotels: Cairns Rydges Planade Resort Cairns AUD 99 (three nights), Hamilton Island Whitsun DAY Apartments AUD 790 (one night), Melbourne Pegasus Apart-Hotel AUD), Melbourne Oakson Williams AUD.
(Why AUD1550 for the last three days? The reason is that these are the days when Sydney will have its New Year's Eve fireworks show. I booked it 50 days in advance. I wanted a hotel that was closer to the bridge and cheaper, so I chose this one. I was afraid it would be inconvenient if I was too far away after watching the fireworks in the middle of the night. The price was really amazing, and it was much worse than Hanting Home Inn in China.
After converting to RMB 2900+ a day, nnd! But you don’t have to worry, the railway operation is really good, not many people, the interval between trains is small, and it runs until 3 am on New Year’s Eve. You can really book a farther place, Olympic Sports Park is a good choice. ) The following are pictures of some hotels.
There are no photos of the bad hotels. The above group of pictures are of Whitsundayapartments on Hamilton Island. It must be said that the rich island is the rich island. This is not the best hotel on the island. It is just an ordinary aprat. The conditions are so attractive to Yunluo. (To be continued...)
