Chapter 1539: Old Forest

In the afternoon, we took the ferry from Serrent to Queenscliff. The ferry fare is AUD for the car and driver, and AUD for each additional adult. After landing, we started our self-driving tour of the Great Ocean Road. Most travel agencies arrange a one-day tour of the Great Ocean Road, but the two tours introduced by Yunluo below both require staying two nights on the Great Ocean Road.

You can imagine how rushed the group tour is. Yunluo thinks it is more appropriate to drive and stay for two nights. ?Two ways to go on the Great Ocean Road, the following picture is the [classic way]: A-Melburne (Melbourne) B-ApllBay (overnight) C-PrtCampbell (overnight) D-Warrnambl (return all the way back to Melbourne on the highway) But Yunluo finally adjusted the route.

I chose the route shown in the picture below because the Great Ocean Road becomes more and more exciting after Lrne, and the road from Melbourne to Geelng is almost entirely on the highway, and I can't even see the shadow of the sea. Therefore, I decided to go around the Mrningtn Peninsula when I went there, because there are endless beaches there. After seeing the sea view, I went to Srrent to take the ferry to enter the Great Ocean Road.

A-Melburne (Melbourne) B-MrningtnPininsula (Mornington Peninsula) C-Srrent ferry terminal D-ApllBay (overnight) E-PrtCampbell (overnight) F-Warrnambl (return and take the highway back to Melbourne) With this arrangement, you will also stay for two nights, but you will not miss any part of the Great Ocean Road, and you will also visit the Mornington Peninsula. However, the schedule on the first day will become tight.

Start your trip from Melbourne as early as possible. Mornington Peninsula is located in Victoria, Australia. It takes about an hour to drive from Melbourne. This peninsula is picturesque and full of mountains and greenery, and people often call it Melbourne's "playground". The peninsula is surrounded by the sea on many sides, including Phillip Island and the Great Ocean Road.

An unforgettable stop in the wonderful journey. Yunluo and Anchuyu didn't leave the hotel until 10:30, walking around the Morningtn Peninsula, leaving a trail of footprints on various beaches. If they didn't have to rush to Srrent to catch the ferry before 4 pm, they really wanted to put on their swimsuits and squeeze in with the sunbathing foreigners to experience the fun of vacation.

The scenery along the way from Queen Clif to Greatcean Rd is like a fantasy of New Zealand. Mornington's beach is gentle and quiet, and some people say it is more beautiful than the scenery of the Great Ocean Road. Maybe beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In Yunluo's opinion, Mornington is more like the resort beaches in Mauritius or Sanya in China. The Great Ocean Road is the magnificent scenery of strong winds, huge waves and rocks.

There is a ferry every time, and the last one is: You can go to this website www. aliday.cm to learn about the situation and buy tickets in advance. But it is also very convenient to buy tickets on the spot. Follow the queue of cars and drive directly to the entrance of the pier. You can buy tickets through the car window with a credit card, and you don’t have to get off the car at all.

The dog also took the ferry from Srrent to the Great Ocean Road. The dog also took the ferry from Srrent to the Great Ocean Road. The beautiful scenery of the Great Ocean Road was particularly peaceful in the dusk. The landforms of the Twelve Apostles were already beginning to emerge in the field of vision. The Great Ocean Road is located in the west of Melbourne. The Western Plains was originally a volcanic area. After the changes of time,

Today, it is a vast wasteland, with only a few striking volcanic cones, lakes formed by magma blocking the waterway, and crater lakes scattered across the plain. The eastern section of the Great Ocean Road winds through the Otway Range. The southwest wind from the South Sea (Sutherncean), carrying abundant moisture, is blocked by the Otway Range.

Orographic rains fall, and a fairly wet and cool climate is formed, which breeds dense and tall forests, as well as fertile fields cultivated by farmers. The Great Ocean Road was built to commemorate the soldiers who participated in the First World War. Many veterans also participated in the construction, and more than 10000 workers worked hard for it. The construction of this road began in 1999 and was completed in 2000.

The Great Ocean Road winds along the west coast of Victoria, offering visitors magnificent ocean views and countless beach activities. There are some coastal towns and fishing villages scattered along the way. The Great Ocean Road is located southwest of Melbourne, from Geelong City. Lrne, ApllBay, PrtCampbell, all the way to Warrnambl, a nearly kilometer long coastal road.

There are two famous lighthouses on the Great Ocean Road. Before reaching the Great Ocean Road Arch, the first lighthouse you pass is the Splitpint Lighthouse. It was built in 1930 and stands high on a small hill near the shore. The pure white lighthouse stands out against the green trees.

The locals gave it a beautiful name "The White Queen". The other one will be introduced later. Overnight at the Great Ocean Road Hotel in Apll Bay. Hotel: Apll Bay Beachfront Mtel Price: RMB Comment: 5 points, average, anyway, it's just a place to sleep on the Great Ocean Road. It's okay to think so, at least it's clean.

Apollo Bay Seaside Motel Apollo Bay Seaside Motel Apollo Bay Seaside Motel Dinner at Apollo Bay Seaside Motel After putting down the luggage, they rushed to the Vista Seafd Restaurant, which was highly praised by all the beekeepers. This restaurant is only a hundred meters away from the motel where Yunluo and An Chuyu stayed. They ordered a seafood set meal for two.

Australian dollars (nearly 1,000 RMB), but Yunluo and An Chuyu looked sad after eating it. Bad review! Bad review! Bad review! I can only sigh that foreigners really don’t know how to cook seafood. Fresh seafood is already sweet enough, but they have to be ruined by all kinds of strange cooking methods. In the end, it’s all served cold, and the soup is also cold. Yunluo and An Chuyu felt cold all over after eating it.

Better than chewing Wrigley gum! (Don't be fooled by the gorgeous pictures below!) Painful lesson: In places like Australia and New Zealand where seafood ingredients are first-rate, the best way to eat it is as sashimi. But later at Sydney Fish Market, Yunluo and An Chuyu made the same mistake again.

On the way from Apll Bay to Cape Otway Lighthuse (Cape Otway Lighthouse) during the tour of the Apostle Rocks, they passed through a eucalyptus forest. Tourists along the way stopped their cars and raised their cameras to capture koalas. Unfortunately, Yunluo and An Chuyu did not have a telephoto lens. While Yunluo was craning his neck and staring blankly, his wife seized the opportunity to break into the camera and captured Capetway Lighthuse.

Cape Otway Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse on the Australian mainland. It has been in continuous operation for more than 160 years since 1930. It is located in the southeast corner of Australia. At the confluence of the towering cliffs of Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean. On the coastline of Port Campbell National Park are cliffs formed by millions of years of weathering and sea erosion.

The independent reefs standing in the azure ocean are in various shapes, like human faces, and are called "Apostle Rocks". However, "Apostle Rocks" collapsed due to the erosion of the waves. Now only a piece of rock remains. GibsnStep is actually a walking ladder built along the seaside cliff of Apostle Rocks, which can lead directly to Apostle Rocks Beach.

When we arrived at the Gibsons Step, it was already high tide, and a wave smashed Yunluo and An Chuyu's shoes onto the beach. Fortunately, my wife was wearing shorts, otherwise she would have been in the same miserable state as Yunluo. On the way back up the stairs, looking up at the tourists' shiny hiking shoes, Yunluo couldn't help but smile evilly.

So remember: shorts and slippers are a must. The following pictures are all the scenery around Cape Otway Lighthouse. On the way from Apple Bay to Cape Otway Lighthouse, the eucalyptus forest we passed by was the only living thing that Yunluo's camera could capture. After wandering along the Great Ocean Road for most of the day, the New Zealand-style pastoral scenery appeared before our eyes again.

I turned into a sandy path, and just set up the tripod under the scorching sun. A small car came with a lot of dust, so I quickly got into the car. After several NGs, I finally finished shooting the video material. The shoes were beaten to death on the beach by the waves, and they died in a bright state. I arrived at LchArdGrge (Lock Ard Gorge). The light was not satisfactory, but I witnessed the splendor of the sunset.

In the 19th century, Bass Strait was a major shipping channel for supplying ships and transporting criminals or immigrants to the colonies of Victoria and New South Wales. Unfortunately, on this rugged and desolate coast, the sea is often foggy, the wind is strong and the waves are high, and there is a lack of lighthouses, making navigation extremely difficult and dangerous. Many ships sank here.

The most famous is the sinking of the LchArd, hence the name of the LochArd Grand Canyon. On the 28th of the 19th century, a British immigrant ship named "LchArd" ran aground on the way to Melbourne. All the people died and only one person survived. In order to commemorate the victims, later generations built a tomb and named this place "LchArd".

Loch Ard Canyon is only about 100 kilometers away from the Apostle Rocks. Here you can see the rock landscape of the canyon up close, and you can go down the canyon ladder to the seaside and stroll to enjoy the scenery. Hotel and dinner Overnight at PrtCampbell. Hotel: PrtsideMtel Price: RMB Evaluation: 10 points, not bad. Clean and comfortable.

Dinner: It was already 9:30 in the evening when I checked in to the hotel. All my energy was gone. I went to the nearby Rcks Beach Bar in the rain and packed two steaks (more than 20 Australian dollars) for dinner. When I got back to the hotel, I found that the careless waiter had forgotten to give me the sauce.

London Bridge and The Arch? London Bridge: This rock used to be a promontory that connected the sea and the land. Due to the erosion of the waves, a round hole was formed, which happened to be a double arch, so it was named "London Bridge". At dusk on the day of the month of the year, the round hole connecting to the land suddenly collapsed.

It separated from the mainland and formed the Broken Bridge we see now. The power of nature is huge, and the landscape created by nature has a kind of magic that cannot be matched by man-made things. ?The Arch (Arch Rock): After years of erosion by the sea, the arch stone has become a crescent shape, small and exquisite. I wonder how long this landscape can last? ?The Grtt (Cave Rock).

At this attraction, you can see how the sea creates and destroys these cliffs and rocks. We drove along the Great Ocean Road early in the morning and shot all the attractions one by one. It was not even 3pm yet. On the way back to Melbourne, facing the dazzling afternoon sun, even though CountryRck was flowing in the car and the beautiful scenery of the Great Ocean Road was shaking in front of the car window.

Still can't stop the waves of fatigue from coming. When passing through the small town of Warrnambl, I just wanted to buy a cup of coffee to refresh myself. But as soon as I stepped into this town, I immediately felt refreshed. The pleasant Country Music floated on the empty streets, and the air was filled with the smell of the sea. Following the direction of the music, I came to an open-air bar, coffee and western restaurant by the sea.

Simns Waterfrnt stands proudly in the blue sky and white clouds. The resident singer is using his magnetic and slightly vicissitudes of life voice to interpret his inner monologue. Sitting on the terrace of this cafe, the sea breeze blows gently, and looking around. Under the blue sky and blue sea, all the locals are playing surfing and windsurfing.

The long coastline was shrouded in a strong holiday atmosphere, and the leisure atmosphere was overflowing unscrupulously under the scorching sun. Yun Luo's envious eyes and hatred swept every happy figure on the beach. I really wanted to stay, stay, and never leave. After leaving Warrnambl, I started to take the highway back to Melbourne.

There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!

A little boy looking at the scenery --- from his squinting eyes, you can probably guess how strong the ultraviolet rays are! ps. It is said that there is a hole in the ozone layer over Australia. Even if the sun is not bright, you must not be lazy about sun protection. Last Spring Festival, Yunluo got sunburned in New Zealand. The picture below is the Warrnambl town hotel where Yunluo refused to leave.

Dinner and Supermarket Hotel: Best Western Riverside Apartments (the same hotel as Day Melbourne, but more expensive than that night, but the room was more cozy than that night) Price: average RMB per night Rating: points? Dinner: On the way back to Melbourne, we passed by a supermarket and bought fruits and wine, and dinner at the same time.

It saves the time and trouble of going to a restaurant for dinner. A table of food only costs more than 40 Australian dollars (excluding white wine)? In order to save manpower, many supermarkets abroad are all self-service. This cash register can scan barcodes, calculate prices, and weigh everything, but you have to click on the display yourself. Select the goods that need to be weighed.

All fruit prices are in kg. You can compare it with domestic prices. Yunluo and An Chuyu were received by a friend in Melbourne. After arriving in Melbourne, the friend drove Yunluo and An Chuyu directly to the Great Ocean Road. Traffic in Australia drives on the left, which is the opposite of mainland China. Look to the right first when crossing the road →→.

The local trucks are very beautiful. Just like Transformers, they are much more beautiful than those in China! At noon, Yunluo and An Chuyu passed by a town called Clac for lunch and ordered a McDonald's, which tasted similar to those in China. They continued to drive to the Great Ocean Road, where the coastal highway is very beautiful.

Yunluo and An Chuyu came to the Twelve Disciples. There was a map at the door. It showed the locations of parking lots, toilets, etc. After walking a short distance, they finally saw the legendary Twelve Disciples, but now there is only one left. There are two more here. Yunluo and An Chuyu continued to drive back to Geelng. On the way, everyone was enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Suddenly, they saw a wild koala crossing the road. Yunluo and An Chuyu quickly stopped the car to take a photo of it. The koala was a little panicked when it saw Yunluo and An Chuyu, and quickly crawled to the side of the road, and then began to think about how to go. Yunluo and An Chuyu followed it and took photos along the way. It is said that koalas need to sleep for 1-2 hours a day, and when they are awake, they will spend half of the time thinking about what to do next.

The koala finally fled in a hurry, and it took half a minute to climb up a meter. Yunluo and An Chuyu saw it finally climbed up a tree and stopped moving, probably sleeping. On the way later, Yunluo and An Chuyu regretted not picking up the koala, which was a very rare opportunity. An Australian friend said that he had been in Australia for more than ten years.

It was the first time I saw a wild koala. We continued to move forward. It was getting dark, but the Great Ocean Road was still very beautiful. They are both coastal roads, but I don't know which one is better, Highway 1 in the United States or the Great Ocean Road in Australia. I will compare them when I have the opportunity to drive Highway 1 in the future. We returned to Geelong in the evening.

Yunluo and An Chuyu came to a pizza shop for dinner. The decoration of this shop is very unique. That night, Yunluo and An Chuyu stayed in a big house in Queenscliff, called Bnsai Beachhuse. This is a big house with 3 bedrms. More information about this house.

Yunluo will explain in detail in the [Accommodation] section of the [Practical Guide] later. Since they had spent the previous night on the plane and there was an hour time difference here, Yunluo and An Chuyu went to bed early and prepared to continue tomorrow.

Today Yunluo and Anchuyu will drive to the port of Queenscliff, take the ferry to Sorrento, then drive to Churchill Island to visit the Australian farm, go to Phillip Island to see the little penguins in the evening, and then return to Melbourne.
