Yunluo is sometimes quite stupid, and he intuitively thinks that wearing a black baseball cap will make him a perfect disguise. He and Liuxun are walking openly on the bank of the West Lake. The beautiful Liuxun with burgundy hair and the tall and cool Yunluo are very eye-catching. However, it is Yunluo's high profile that delays the recognition of the star Siren.
If not for this, the photos of the mermaid holding hands with the hot beauty while leisurely strolling around the West Lake would be flying all over the place. It would be strange if An Chu didn't get furious when he met the new coalition formed by Yan Chenyu, especially since Yan Chenyu cares about Yun Luo the most at this time. After this gloomy mood is over, the cold and beautiful beauty will become independent again.
Xiang Chu Chunzi doesn't care how many girls are around Yun Luo, because the little maid was originally trained as a top socialite. When An Chuyu was jealous of Yan Chenyu, Xiang Chu Chunzi was having fun with Husky Jue Ye, Red Rat Tangtang, and Black Cat Heitan. The little maid's happiness was very simple.
The sun was shining brightly. Yunluo and Liuxun walked side by side and came to the northeast corner of West Lake. It was Shengtang Sluice, which was built by Bai Juyi to dredge the lake water. It is still in use today. Shengtang Sluice was first built in the sixth year of Xianchun in the Southern Song Dynasty and was called Jiuqu Zhaoqing Bridge. It was called Liushui Bridge in the Ming Dynasty. There was a gate under the bridge, which opened and closed according to the increase or decrease of the water in West Lake. It originally led to Jiuqu Xiahu and later flowed into Xinhe River. Together with Shihan Sluice and Zhonglong Sluice on the north side, it is a combination of three gates.
There is a group of sculptures called "Farewell to Bai Juyi" under Shengtang Gate, which recreates the scene of "the whole county was grateful for Bai Juyi's kindness and was reluctant to part with him" at that time.
Bai Juyi, who was over 50 years old, came to the beautiful West Lake City to serve as a governor. He was frustrated in officialdom and was inspired when he saw the West Lake. On the day he arrived in West Lake City, he could not wait to write "A Letter of Thanks from the Governor of West Lake City", which started the eternal love between the great poet and the beautiful mountains and rivers.
Bai Juyi's achievements in the West Lake City are numerous, but the most outstanding ones are dredging the six wells and building the West Lake embankment. He first dredged the six wells dug by Li Qin forty years ago, and then regulated the West Lake and built the lake embankment.
In May of the fourth year of the Changqing reign of the Tang Dynasty, Bai Juyi's term as governor of West Lake expired. He was ordered to leave Hangzhou for Luoyang, and a farewell scene of "the old man of Hangzhou blocking the wheel tracks" appeared. When he left, he left a lake of clear water, a fragrant embankment, six wells of clear springs, and 200 poems for the people of West Lake. The landscape of West Lake was further enhanced by Bai Juyi's wonderful pen, becoming a brilliant gem of West Lake culture.
When he left after his term, the people, old and young, brought food and drink to see him off. When they said goodbye, Bai Juyi gave him a poem in return: "Heavy taxes have left many poor families, and farmers are starving and their fields are dry. I only leave a lake of water to help you save from bad years."
"If there were no Bai Juyi and Su Shi, the scenery of West Lake would be half less beautiful." At that time, a touching farewell scene of "the old man of Hang blocking the wheel tracks" appeared in West Lake. This group of sculptures reproduces the scene of Bai Juyi's reluctant farewell as he left with praise for West Lake and a close connection with the people of West Lake.
Yunluo knew the stories of West Lake better than Liuxun. He leisurely pointed out the beautiful scenery. There are four love bridges: Xiling Bridge, Changqiao, Broken Bridge and Kuahong Bridge.
The most famous one is the Broken Bridge, whose name is associated with the lingering and tragic love story in the Legend of the White Snake. The moving love story of Xu Xian and White Snake on the Broken Bridge makes the Broken Bridge the most famous bridge among the many bridges on the West Lake.
Broken Bridge is located at the east end of Baidi Causeway of West Lake. It is backed by Baoshi Mountain and faces the city of West Lake. It is the watershed between Outer Lake and North Inner Lake and is also one of the ten scenic spots of West Lake. There are pavilions and buildings such as Imperial Monument Pavilion at the end of the bridge, facing Inner West Lake and Baoshi Mountain. Baoshu Tower is across the lake. The mountain, tower, lake, pavilion, bridge and peach and willow trees by the lake form a picturesque scenery, which is very charming.
Yunluo spoke softly to Liuxun, and the two held hands quietly: "The Broken Bridge is the only way to Gushan. Whenever the snow has just stopped, there are many tourists on the Broken Bridge. Gushan and the West Lake are covered in silver, which is particularly moving. Standing on the Baoshi Mountain and looking south, the West Lake is covered in silver, and the Baidi Bridge stretches across snowy willows and frost peaches."
"I like Broken Bridge very much. The stone arch of the Broken Bridge is exposed. The ice and snow melted in the sun, revealing the mottled bridge railings, while the two ends of the bridge are still covered with white snow. The vaguely discernible stone bridge body seems to be hidden and visible, while the white snow in the culvert is shining, and the gray-brown bridge surface forms a contrast. From a distance, it seems to be broken but not broken, so it is called Broken Bridge with Residual Snow."
Liu Xun listened quietly, not listening to the story, but Yun Luo's love for her. Girls, no matter what, always yearn for love. Yun Luo smiled and told her about the beautiful fairy tale "The Legend of the White Snake" where the White Snake and Xu Xian met.
Legend has it that White Snake was originally a little white snake that cultivated in the mountains. One day, she was caught by an old snake catcher and nearly killed. Fortunately, she was saved by a little shepherd boy. After 1,700 years of cultivation, White Snake finally transformed into a human form.
During the Qingming Festival, it was misty and rainy. With the advice of Guanyin Bodhisattva, "If we are destined to meet, we must go to the heights of West Lake to find each other", White Snake finally found her lifesaver Xu Xian on the Broken Bridge of West Lake, and promised to marry him. After the flooding of Jinshan Mountain, they met again on the Broken Bridge and continued their previous relationship.
Among the many bridges of all sizes in West Lake, Broken Bridge is the most famous. The earliest record of "Broken Bridge with Residual Snow" was by Zhang Hu of the Tang Dynasty. His poem "On the Solitary Mountain Temple in West Lake" says: "The pavilions and terraces are towering over the green hills, and a path leads into the center of the lake. The mountains are moist even without rain, and the water is shady even without clouds. The Broken Bridge is covered with moss and the empty courtyard is covered with fallen flowers. I still remember the moon in the west window and the sound of the bell in the north forest."
The Broken Bridge was built before the Tang Dynasty. The bridge has been repaired over the generations. It is now a single-hole stone arch bridge with a semicircular arch and stone masonry. The words "Duanjia Bridge" are inscribed on the top stone of the arch. The bridge deck is a slope and paved with asphalt.
The imperial stele inscribed with "Broken Bridge with Residual Snow" is located on the north side of the east end of the Broken Bridge. The original stele was erected in the 38th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty when he toured the West Lake, commented on the "Ten Scenic Spots of the West Lake" and wrote the name of the scene "Broken Bridge with Residual Snow" with his own hand.
The Yunshuiguangzhong Waterside Pavilion is the starting point of Baidi Bridge and the entrance to Geling, located beside the Broken Bridge. Yunluo and Liuxun overlooked the rippling water of the outer lake from a distance and admired the lotus leaves in the inner lake from a close distance, which made people think deeply. The Yunshuiguangzhong Waterside Pavilion is built by the lake, with black tiles and red railings, and is one of the famous waterside pavilions on the lakeside.
A Song Dynasty poet once wrote a poem about the scenery here: In the water and moonlight, in the shadow of the mist, the tower emerges. Outside, there are flutes, jokes in the clouds, and people are in Penglai. The fragrance of the sky follows the wind, and the lotus flowers are in full bloom for nearly ten miles. Buy a small boat, travel all over the south of the mountain, and return to the north of the mountain.
There is an open pavilion beside the clouds and water, named Zaosi Tiancheng. Standing at the bridge head, you can see the distant mountains and nearby waters. When you appreciate the snow scenery of West Lake, the Broken Bridge is the only place with a special feeling.
Liu Xun likes the romance of being with Yun Luo. There are no other girls, only her and him, and they are deeply in love. Liu Xun is not stupid, and knows that Yun Luo is always a little unhappy with her dominance, but Liu Xun doesn't care. Yun Luo is a gentleman, and he talks with Liu Xun while walking, and he can easily come up with all kinds of allusions about the Broken Bridge.
The name Broken Bridge came from the Tang Dynasty. It was called Baoyou Bridge in the Song Dynasty. It was also called Duanjia Bridge in the Yuan Dynasty because a couple named Duan lived at the bridgehead and made a living by selling wine. At that time, the Baisha Dike of West Lake meandered from Gushan to here, and there was only a small wooden bridge tightly connected to the lakeshore. Due to the sun and rain, the bridge planks often rotted and broke, which was very inconvenient for tourists.
The Duan couple were kindhearted and hardworking. The man made a living by fishing in the lake, and the woman set up a wine stall at the door, selling wine. However, because the wine tasted bad, few customers came and the business was slow. One evening, a ragged, white-haired old man came from afar and had no money, and asked to stay overnight.
Seeing that he was old and pitiful, the Duan family couple warmly invited him to stay, roasted a carp just caught from the West Lake, and poured a bowl of home-brewed wine to entertain the old man. The old man was not polite at all, drank three bowls in a row, then fell on the bed and fell asleep.
The next morning, the white-haired old man took out three red pills and said, "Thank you for your hospitality. I have three yeasts here that can help you make good wine." After that, he said goodbye and left.
There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!
The Duan couple put the old man's three wine yeasts in the wine vat, and the wine they brewed was scarlet, sweet and fragrant. From then on, customers came to the store every day, and the Duan family's scarlet wine became famous in West Lake City, and the business was booming day by day. Later, the Duan couple demolished the hut and built a restaurant. In order to thank the white-haired old man, they saved a sum of money and prepared to thank him well.
Three years later, in the winter, there was a heavy snowfall in West Lake, and the white-haired old man came to Duan's restaurant again. The couple was overjoyed to see their benefactor coming, and invited the old man to stay at their house for a long time. However, the old man wanted to say goodbye the next day. Before leaving, the Duan couple took out some silver and gave it to the old man.
The old man smiled and declined, saying, "Thank you two for your kindness. I'm a lonely old man, what use do I have for so much money? You should use it on the most important things." After that, he walked towards the bridge in the snow.
The Duan couple stood at the door to see him off. As soon as the old man stepped onto the small wooden bridge, he slipped and the bridge broke, and the old man fell into the lake. The couple rushed to rescue him, and suddenly saw the white-haired old man standing on the lake, as if he were walking on flat ground. He smiled and waved to them, and then floated away. The Duan couple realized that the white-haired old man was not an ordinary person.
Remembering what the old man said before leaving, the couple used the money to build a tall bluestone arch bridge at the original wooden bridge. From then on, people who visited the West Lake no longer had to worry about slippery roads and bridge collapses. The villagers remembered the good deeds of the Duan couple and named the bridge Duanjia Bridge.
Because there is a gate on the bridge and an eave on the gate, when it snows, the snow in the middle is on the eave of the gate, and there is snow only at the two ends of the bridge. From a distance, the bridge looks like it is broken, so it is also called the Broken Bridge. Earlier, there was an imperial stele pavilion next to each of the "Ten Scenic Spots of West Lake". The front of the imperial stele in the pavilion was the name of the scenic spot written by Emperor Kangxi, and the back was a poem written by Emperor Qianlong for the scenic spot.
Later, due to various changes, the seven imperial steles, namely, Calm Lake Autumn Moon, Broken Bridge Residual Snow, Leifeng Sunset, Flower Harbor Watching Fish, Willow Waves Singing Orioles, Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, and Twin Peaks Piercing the Clouds, disappeared. Currently, only three imperial steles remain, namely, Su Causeway Spring Dawn, Winding Courtyard Lotus, and Nanping Evening Bell. (To be continued..)
