Chapter 530: The Ordinary Road Has Sword Intentions

America, not long ago, Qin Ren gathered his two cute pets together and then set out alone, traveling around the world to awaken the path to his own territory, which is the door to his territory that he could vaguely touch.

Although the divine sword Qinglian was very lazy, damn it was super lazy, it still told Qin Ren some very important things, including the several realms of practicing the top secret weapon Qinglian Sword Song. The last realm was about the domain, but how to comprehend it was an unsolvable problem from ancient times to the present. It was different for each person. It could be used as a reference, but not followed.

The Grand Canyon National Park is the first national park Qin Ren visited on this trip. The Grand Canyon is also called the Colorado Canyon because the scouring of the Colorado River has cut out 19 canyons on this plateau. The Colorado Canyon is the longest, widest and deepest of them, and it is also one of the longest canyons in the world.

It is 446 kilometers long, about 1.6 kilometers deep at its deepest point, about as high as a 500-story building, and 13 kilometers wide at its widest point. The history of the earth's development is engraved on its canyon walls - about one-third of the history of crustal movement is deeply recorded on the stone walls, and the rocks at the bottom of the valley have experienced about 2 billion years of changes, which is half the age of the earth.

When Qin Ren saw the spectacular red rock landform and the deep canyon for the first time, he instantly felt the insignificance of human beings in this world. Qin Ren often said that traveling is to return to nature and find oneself, but what kind of mentality should Qin Ren have to do it? Qin Ren feels that he should face everything in nature with a grateful attitude.

No matter what the natural environment is like, this is the earth that nurtures Qin Ren's survival. Don't face nature with a challenging mentality, but need to find a better way to connect people and nature harmoniously.

Because of limited time, it took Qin Ren 4 hours to drive from Las Vegas to here, so he only had half a day to play around, but you will find that the spectacular scenery here requires real immersion to experience.

This time we only had a quick visit. You have to come here just once, bring a tent, and stay here for a week to appreciate the magnificence of the Grand Canyon and feel the loss and vicissitudes of history.

There is one thing I have a particularly deep understanding of when traveling in the United States. That is "barrier-free". Many scenic spots in the Grand Canyon are clearly marked with wheelchair signs, indicating that these attractions are accessible to people with disabilities in wheelchairs. At the same time, the barrier-free facilities in parking lots and buses are very complete and fully play their role.

You can drive, take a bus, hike, ride a bike, or take a small plane to overlook the Grand Canyon. All facilities are well thought out, allowing anyone to enjoy its spectacular scenery in any way they like. The ticket price of 25 yuan per car is also very cost-effective, and you can enter and exit freely within 7 days.

After spending an afternoon in the Grand Canyon, Qin Ren left the park with a feeling of reluctance. It was already late, and it was almost 12 o'clock when he returned to Las Vegas. Qin Ren returned to the hotel where he stayed the day before and prepared to go to the second national park, Yosemite, the next day.

The original plan was to go to Yellowstone Park next. But after driving for two days, we gave up due to the actual situation and the distance. Later, we planned to go to Death Valley Park, but after discussion, we gave up due to time issues. So we decided to go to this park that was not in our plan before. Because it is close to San Francisco, we can drive directly to San Francisco to stay at night.

Qin Ren drove from Las Vegas to Yosemite for fourteen or fifteen hours, stopping and starting all the way, traveling on a highway in the desert. This journey really gave him a sense of the West, but it was also easy to make people tired.

Friends who drive must pay attention to rest. The highway facilities in the United States are relatively complete, and there are wide temporary parking strips on the roadside, so you can stop and rest at any time, and the scenery is also great. It started to rain when we drove near Yosemite. Because it was a mountain road, we drove slowly. We arrived at a small town near the park at 12 o'clock in the evening and stayed there.

When Qin Ren woke up the next day, it was still drizzling outside. After breakfast, he drove for half an hour and arrived at Yosemite. This was once the place where Indians lived and multiplied. The word "Yosemite" means grizzly bear in the Indian language, which is the totem of the local Indian natives. Therefore, many souvenirs and logos here have a bear.

Qin Ren bought a ticket at the entrance. It cost $25 per car, and it was a 7-day round trip. He went to the visitor center to get a map. He didn't expect it would take him nearly an hour to get there. This shows how big the park is. Because some national parks in the United States have some closed attractions, Qin Ren went to see a few open attractions. What impressed Qin Ren the most was the towering giant sequoias throughout the park.

Among them is a giant cedar called the Giant Grizzly, which is estimated to be 2,700 years old and is the largest tree in the world. Qin Ren's favorite attraction in the scenic area is the "Bridal Veil" waterfall. It got this name because the waterfall flows down from the mountain and is blown away by the wind, just like a wedding dress on a bride's head.

It happened to be raining and windy on the day Qin Ren went there, so it was rare to see this scene. Many people pray for good weather and good scenery when traveling. In fact, no matter what kind of weather it is, it is a unique experience. For you, it is different, so Qin Ren remembered a sentence that a classic teacher said, "Everything is the best arrangement."

Everything you experience will be the most beautiful experience in your life. It was another busy day. Qin Ren gave up driving in the park and walked all the way. It was raining, but Qin Ren had a lot of fun. After the rain, the fresh air, clean roads, washed trees, and fallen leaves scattered all over the ground also washed away the fatigue of driving all day.

We left Yosemite at night and drove 4 hours to San Francisco. We stayed in Chinatown. San Francisco is probably very familiar to Chinese people. Many people say that coming to San Francisco is like coming to China.

Because it has the largest Chinatown in the United States, with a history of 120 years. At the entrance of Chinatown there is a dark green Chinese archway and a pair of stone lions with Mr. Sun’s four characters "天下为公" inscribed on them. It is the symbol of Chinatown and also the symbol of Chinese civilization.

When I arrived at Chinatown, I realized that I couldn’t communicate in Chinese because you had to speak Cantonese. I’ve been driving non-stop for the past few days. I didn’t get enough rest and was exhausted from the journey, so I planned to stay in San Francisco for two days to recover.

San Francisco is not very big. In the morning, I walked to Union Square and took the historic tram to the famous Fisherman's Wharf. The tram is also called Ding Ding car because there is a manual bell on the car as a whistle.

Moreover, this car is completely manually controlled by one person, and there are not many seats. Many people will choose seats without baffles at the front door, because they can directly see the scenery on both sides. If there are not enough seats, some people will stand by the car holding the railing. The speed of the car is not very fast, so you can take pictures while walking. The staff at the station are also very enthusiastic and can meet all your photography needs.

The most impressive thing about this trip is the road in San Francisco. There is a 30-40 degree uphill slope, followed by a 30-40 degree downhill slope. Looking at the truck bed parked at an angle on the side of the road, it feels like it will slide down if you are not careful.

So I also learned a driving skill here, which is that when parking on the side of the road, after pulling the handbrake, you must turn the steering wheel to one direction, which can also increase the braking effect.

When Qin Ren arrived at Fisherman's Wharf, he felt the hustle and bustle of the place. Tourists, vendors, and street performers made this former Italian fisherman's wharf a tourist attraction in San Francisco today. The most distinctive thing here is the street performers. They perform here like wandering artists or literary youths as Qin Ren had understood before. They perform here like a job.

There are some signs on the pier, which list which artists can perform here at each time period, etc. It is very interesting, and their performances are not just playing guitar, beating hand drums, singing songs, etc., but very rich and creative.

For example, a short and disabled lady made various small animals out of ordinary balloons and sold them to children, but she dressed up like Santa Claus. There were about 10 small chairs in front of her, and the children sat there while she told stories and made balloons.

The balloons she made were not the best, but the shape was very popular with children, which also reflected their optimistic and innovative spirit. Among the many piers in Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 is the most famous one, because there are many sea lions basking in the sun and taking a nap on the wooden boards, and occasionally fighting for territory. Their naive appearance is very cute and attracts many tourists.

After playing till night, it was time to leave. When you are in San Francisco, you have to go to the Golden Gate Bridge. Although it is night, the night view of the Golden Gate Bridge is still very beautiful. After playing, I decided to come again the next morning to see what the Golden Gate Bridge looks like during the day.

The next morning, Qin Ren drove to Lombardy Street first. The sloping street is a major feature of San Francisco. The section from Longbow Street to Living Street is a big downhill slope. In order to prevent traffic accidents, the municipal government specially built flower beds. When cars pass here, they can only spiral down and the speed cannot exceed 5 miles per hour. Therefore, this section of the street is known as "the most crooked street in the world."

Most tourists who come to San Francisco want to test their driving skills here, and Qin Ren is no exception. The flower beds on both sides of the driveway are full of roses, and every household on both sides of the street also grows flowers and grass at the door. When the flowers bloom, from a distance, it looks like a velvet embroidery hanging diagonally, which is so beautiful that it is called "Flower Street".

Leaving the Flower Street, we headed straight to the Golden Gate Bridge. It was also the first time I encountered a toll booth. It was free to leave the city, but it cost $6 to enter the city through the bridge. Although there was a toll, I still had to drive up to experience the world's largest single-hole suspension bridge. This bridge is one of the busiest bridges in the world, with about 100,000 cars rumbling across it every day.

The bridge is made of red steel, connecting the mainland on both sides of the strait, and is particularly majestic. I remember a documentary in which someone climbed up the bridge along the steel cable. It didn't seem so thrilling in the camera, but you could feel the courage of this person when you were on the bridge. There are walking paths on both sides of the bridge, and tourists can walk across the bridge.

Maybe because he was too excited, he took the wrong turn when he drove back across the bridge, turned back, and drove across the bridge again. He was charged another $6. This was a small episode. That afternoon, Qin Ren drove to the most beautiful campus, Stanford, and did not make any plans. He just wandered around the campus.

The most impressive thing is the cathedral on campus, which should be the representative of this campus. In order to commemorate his son who died unfortunately while traveling in Europe, the California railroad tycoon Stanford donated all his property to build a university for California children and named it after his son. After his death, his wife built this cathedral for him.

After dark, Qin Ren drove to the nearby Silicon Valley and visited Google at night. Although everyone had gone off work when he arrived, the Google campus was very open. There were many unlocked bicycles parked downstairs, which were used by employees to travel around the company. The colors of the bicycles were all the colors of the Google logo, which was very distinctive.

Qin Ren rode his bicycle around the area a few times. Opposite the company was a well-equipped sports field, where some employees were playing football. Qin Ren often saw Google's office environment and work atmosphere on the Internet, which was also what many people yearned for.

Although Qin Ren was not able to visit the company, he was able to feel the freedom and openness of Google's culture just from this short night tour. Qin Ren still has a lot to learn.

There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!

Since this trip was a road trip, Highway 1 was the route Qin Ren was looking forward to the most. In order to have a whole day to enjoy this most beautiful road, Qin Ren found a small motel near Silicon Valley and stayed there the night before. The next morning, he set off in the bright sunshine.

Highway 1 is located on the west coast of the United States, with the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Rocky Mountains on the other. Connecting San Francisco and Los Angeles, Qin Ren chose to drive from north to south, because on your right is the endless sea, you can stop at any time to enjoy the view and take photos, and the humanization of the United States is also fully reflected. There are many viewing points set up on the roadside for tourists to stop at any time.

Highway 1 was once rated as one of the top 10 most beautiful coastal roads in the world, but its beauty is not just the vast Pacific Ocean on one side, but the most beautiful combination of land and sea. Someone said: "Driving on California Highway 1 is a kind of enjoyment, a kind of attitude towards life, a baptism, and a fusion of people, sea and sunshine."

You may think the description is a bit hypocritical when you see it, but when you really feel it, you will find that it is even better than this description. Blue sky, blue sea, reefs, cliffs, sunshine, beach, grassland, road, and lazy seals basking in the sun on the beach.

This perfect combination of pristine nature will make you dazzled, because every place you go is a rare view. There is not too much human intervention and no too much commercial development here, so it has always maintained a pristine natural state.

If time permits, this road is not suitable for driving. You should ride a bicycle along the winding road and you may forget the existence of time.

If asked which city was the most comfortable on this trip, Qin Ren would recommend San Diego without hesitation, a coastal city located in the southwestern corner of the United States.

The temperature in San Diego does not change much throughout the year. In winter, you only need to wear a thin coat. In summer, it is not too hot. It is a little sunny during the day, but it becomes very cool in the evening. It is quite suitable for living and is also rated as one of the most livable cities in the United States. The sunshine, beach and sea of California are fully reflected here.

There are rarely high-rise buildings here. The roadside is lined with various villas. There are not many pedestrians and vehicles on the clean roads. The locals enjoy the peaceful life here peacefully. Occasionally, you can see many parents pushing strollers for a walk on the roadside, and occasionally you can see some children wearing helmets and riding children's bicycles passing by.

Young people prefer to use skateboards as a means of transportation. Maybe Qin Ren has been on the road these days and has not really experienced the living conditions of the locals. He made up for it here. Qin Ren spent a day doing nothing but driving to Colorado, just lazily enjoying the warm sunshine and fine beaches of California.

Coincidentally, when Qin Ren drove out, there were not many pedestrians on the road and all the shops were closed. He finally found a restaurant, but as soon as he entered, the waiter said, "Sorry, we are about to close." This is completely opposite to the feeling of festivals in China. In China, as long as it is a festival, no matter big or small, traditional or foreign.

Even for a "Nurses' Day", businesses are eager to hold various promotions, the streets are crowded, and restaurants are full. Not only here, but also in other cities in the United States, many stores close early in the evening, especially on holidays and weekends, and sometimes only some 24-hour convenience stores are open.

Because they believe that work is a part of life, but work can never replace life. Holidays are for family reunions or traveling. They do things at the right time. Only in this way can life be considered fulfilling and balanced.

Another must-see attraction in San Diego is the USS Midway. The USS Midway participated in World War II, and six months after it was launched, Japan surrendered. The ship was named after the Battle of Midway, which was the turning point of the entire Pacific War.

This longest-serving aircraft carrier has completed its mission and is now a museum for people to visit and learn. Next to the aircraft carrier is the famous huge statue "Victory Kiss".

When World War II was declared over, an American Navy soldier was ecstatic and hugged a stranger nurse and kissed her passionately in Century Square in New York. This historical scene was captured by Alfred, a photographer for Life magazine. It became a classic commemorating the victory of World War II and also a classic in the photography world.

I won't say much about Palm Springs, because there is the largest outlet mall in the West. It happened to be shopping week, so the whole purpose of going there was shopping. Qin Ren also experienced firsthand the spectacular sight of thousands of cars pouring into the outlet mall for shopping.

Qin Ren walked step by step, feeling everything around him, a sword in his heart ignited, burning, and shining like fireworks. (To be continued...)
