Yunluo liked being with Xiang Chuchunzi very much. They didn't talk about love, but just cuddled up to each other. There was a touch of tenderness, which was what Yunluo liked. Hongshu Tangtang also liked being with Xiang Chuchunzi very much. So, Yunluo didn't rush back to China, but took a plane with the little maid to another country.
On Yunluo and Koala's first day in this country, Yunluo had already washed up at 7am and was walking around the inn. Although 7am was too early for the extremely comfortable Vietnamese, he could still see noodles, baguettes and iced coffee in the alleys. Vietnam is a country rich in coffee, and there are coffee shops of all sizes all over the streets and alleys.
You can even see vendors selling iced coffee on bicycles at night. Coffee of all grades can be found here, but the most popular is the iced coffee that costs 15,000 yuan a cup and can be found everywhere on the street. Due to the rainy season, the first day of Yunluo Hanoi was divided into eight natural sections by seven heavy rains.
But Yunluo was relieved that every half-hour rainstorm always gave Yunluo and Koala enough time to taste a cup of local coffee. Generally, a slightly more formal shop would serve customers a cup of ice water while grinding coffee beans. There is a brand of coffee here called "g7" that seems to be very famous in Vietnam, and the price of a cup is only 25,000.
Hanoi's famous attractions are relatively concentrated and can be reached by foot. Yunluo started from the inn and went to Hoan Kiem Lake, St. Joseph's Cathedral, the War Museum, the Mausoleum Complex, and the Central Post Office. From the inn, you can walk to Hoan Kiem Lake within five minutes.
As they walked along the Hoan Kiem Lake, it started to rain heavily. Yunluo arrogantly took out her domineering purple raincoat, and Nalan Shiqi elegantly held up a flower umbrella. Yunluo continued to move forward in the heavy rain, but found that the Vietnamese people who were hiding under the eaves looked at Yunluo like an idiot. It seemed that since that day, Yunluo had never worn her purple raincoat again.
Although the rain here is heavy, it never lasts more than half an hour, and usually stops in 20 minutes. For Yunluo, there is no need to hold an umbrella, because when it really rains, the small umbrella is no match for the sky, and the eaves that can shelter you from the rain are the best. Yunluo, who was still wearing a purple raincoat and walking around the lake, found that there was a red bridge in the center of the lake that could lead to the island in the middle of the lake. The ticket cost 20,000.
Yunluo thought it was too expensive. No one told Yunluo stories, so she didn't go. She first walked around most of the lake and then walked towards the church. The church was under renovation throughout July and August, and it seemed that tourists were not allowed to enter. Yunluo saw it when she came out. For Orientals who are used to seeing temples, the stained glass and the empty and quiet atmosphere in the church are refreshing.
This ancient church makes people feel unreal in the West. The War Museum is really worth a visit for those who have done some research and even know something about the Vietnam War, so Yunluo felt that it was not interesting when he went there. Fortunately, it is free. As a result, Yunluo spent two hours thinking about it that night.
Because Yunluo found that if you don't make a travel guide, many of the scenery on the road will fade a lot. Next to the War Museum is the square, which is still free. In the square, there will be girls who can speak 10 languages to sell you toothpicks. If you believe what they say, you can buy some of their things as charity.
Going further northwest, you will reach the mausoleum. It is free to see the exterior. But you need to pay to enter the museum. It seems to be 25,000 per person, and you need to wear long clothes and long pants. On the way back, Yunluo went to the Confucian Temple. The ticket is 20,000, and it seems that the student ticket is half price. Some of the statues and Buddha statues inside and the stories told by the tour guide are quite interesting.
Later, when Yunluo was walking around the Confucian Temple, he found that the wall here was low, which might be an inspiration for those who like to evade tickets. Continue to the northwest and you will reach the mausoleum complex, which is very solemn and majestic. You don't need to pay to enter the complex, but you need to pay to enter the museum, 25,000 per person, and the security measures are very strict, and it seems that you have to wear long sleeves and long pants.
Yunluo walked around the mausoleum. No one was allowed to enter the mausoleum, and there were guards at the gate. Although there were many people, the visit was close and orderly. On the way back, Yunluo ate a kind of noodles that he had never seen before but still had an endless aftertaste. This was a kind of noodles that was prepared in advance and soaked in hot sour and sweet broth, and eaten with grilled meat and lettuce.
Yunluo bargained down the price to 12,000 yuan per portion. It was already dark, so Yunluo went to eat the recommended yellow glutinous rice. Bargaining is not allowed in this well-known chain store. A bowl of rice comes with a plate of smashed cucumber. Yunluo ordered the minced meat rice for 27,000 yuan, which was super good, and a cup of ice soy milk for 10,000 yuan. She was satisfied for the night.
Walking around the ancient city gate at night is not just for history and night market, girls are the main prey for men to evolve to the top of the food chain, Vietnamese girls are definitely a landscape here, all kinds of styles and sizes, there is always one suitable for you. It is said that the public security in Hanoi is surprisingly good, so Yunluo and Xiangchu Chunzi have no qualms about walking around until midnight every night.
Yunluo consulted the staff of the inn. There are many tourists going from Hanoi to Halong Bay and Sapa. Generally, there are one-day tours, one night and two days, and two nights and three days. Europeans and Americans are very happy to go there. It is basically a must-go. If it were not for the high price, Yunluo would have gone there.
When Yunluo and Xiang Chuchunzi were waiting for the 3,000-kilometer bus, they met a handsome Vietnamese guy. The guy enthusiastically gave directions to Yunluo and Xiang Chuchunzi, chatted with them, and even said that he would invite Yunluo and Xiang Chuchunzi to have coffee in the afternoon at the cafe he went to every day.
Yunluo and Xiangchu Junzi readily agreed, and he also arrived on time. This cafe was the kind that outsiders would take half an hour to find the entrance, but the second floor was a different world with a lot of young people, and the music playing on the speakers was not Byrd or Czerny, but Verb Daci Verb Daci. The young man was a frequent visitor here, and therefore made many friends here.
The two young men that Yunluo and Xiang Chuchunzi met later were also met by him here. From a cup of iced coffee worth 15,000 yuan and a three-hour conversation, Yunluo and Xiang Chuchunzi realized the life attitude that a real Vietnamese should have: the best time of the day should be reserved for friends, family or the beautiful scenery by the lake, rather than endless greed and desire.
He worked for 4 hours today, and then stayed for 6 hours sitting in the cafe. This was their normal routine, and also Yunluo and Xiangchu Chunzi's extravagant hope. Sometimes after nightfall, Yunluo sat on a small chair on the street and drank lemonade, still 15,000. Still felt super good. The waiters were all part-time, they were responsible for parking the motorcycles and taking drinks orders for the guests, and everyone was at least two or three.
There were more than a dozen people sitting together, chatting, drinking tea, playing with iPads, and Yunluo's eyes were full of puffs of shit. Before leaving, Yunluo bought a few packs of the famous local weasel coffee, hoping that Yunluo could still bring this feeling back to his hometown.
Weasel coffee is a kind of "animal coffee" recommended by the locals. To put it simply, it is cat feces coffee. Its "scientific name" is civet coffee. Civet coffee is native to Indonesia. Luwak is an Indonesian term for a tree-dwelling wild animal commonly known as "civet cat". Civet coffee is the most expensive coffee in the world because it is the least produced coffee in the world.
A 50-gram bag of coffee beans is worth 1,500 yuan, which can only make three cups of coffee. In other words, one cup costs about 400 yuan. The global annual production does not exceed 400 kilograms. Now, villagers in these areas not only collect wild Ruwaka excrement, but also start to raise Ruwaka in cages.
A large basin of picked coffee cherries was placed in front of Ruwaka, who had no choice but to eat all the coffee cherries. The Ruwaka coffee produced in this way naturally has a much lower taste. "Scarcity makes things more valuable", which has led to the high price of this rare treasure.
For a cup of this coffee, you might have to prepare 50 pounds, and it may not be available everywhere.
On the first day in Hanoi, Yunluo and Xiangchu Junzi bought a package ticket for New Coffee. Now, only No. 52 and No. 64 are real New Coffee. Yunluo bought a connecting ticket, and the price increased very quickly. The so-called open bus means that you can use the ticket you bought to choose to take the New Coffee bus from one city to another on any day.
When Yunluo bought the ticket, the New Cafe staff asked Yunluo when she was going to Hue. When was she going? Because another rule of the ticket is to confirm two days in advance, because the bus seats cannot be expanded infinitely, if today's bus is full, you can only wait for tomorrow's bus, which invisibly increases the cost of travel.
It turns out that before leaving Hanoi, confirm the time to leave Hue and Hoi An. After arriving in Hoi An, immediately confirm the time to go to Dalat after getting off the bus. When you arrive in Dalat, immediately confirm the time to go to Nha Trang, and so on. This is the safest way. After buying the ticket, the New Cafe service staff will tell you to confirm the ticket half an hour in advance.
This ticket confirmation is equivalent to ticket inspection. The bus will stop at Gate 64. The staff at Gate 64 will give you a small note and ask you how much luggage you have. They will tie a ribbon on your luggage for easy identification. The small note in your hand is for you to give to the driver when you get on the bus. Remember, this procedure must be followed every time you get on the bus.
Yunluo and Xiangchu Chunzi's car started slowly, leaving Hanoi and heading for an ancient city, Hue. Xin Kafe is well-known and recommended, so many tourists come to buy tickets from it, but many friends on the road only bought tickets for 2 stops at Xin Kafe, and changed to a cheaper company when they arrived in Hoi An or Dalat.
In fact, New Coffee is only the most reliable company, but it is definitely not the company with the best condition, the best value for money. In Hanoi for a few days, because I was used to domestic consumption, buying tickets to visit attractions, and the ubiquitous crowds, I suddenly came to a city where attractions are basically free, people live very comfortably, the scenery is picturesque, and there are few tourists.
I feel that my mood for traveling is different. Yunluo thinks that she has been filtered and brainwashed by this beauty. No matter what, two days are enough for Yunluo to fall in love with this city and this country.
Yunluo and Xiangchu Junzi set out early and had already walked around the place before eight o'clock. They found the legendary new coffee, then went back to the hotel, asked the waiter for some free water, took a raincoat, and set off. The weather in Hanoi gave Yunluo a warning as soon as he went out.
There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!
By noon, it had rained five times in the city, and I had to wear a raincoat every half an hour. However, it was the first time for me to walk in the rain, and it felt really good, especially when I was alone. Looking at the people hiding from the rain, the cars driving by, and the people thinking under the trees beside the Sword Lake, I felt that the world existed only for me.
Recalling the water splashes and rains that I haven't stepped on for a long time, I really feel that God has been kind to me. The clouds of my childhood have returned. There are many foreigners by the lake, most of them are tourists, and some are guests. They circle around, like Muslims worshipping their sacred stone. The Sword Recycling Lake is not big, but it has a big story.
Yunluo was looking at the map while preparing to walk towards St. Joseph's Cathedral. On the way, he summed up two points: 1. Asking people is never as convenient as looking at the map to find the destination; in Hanoi, you don't even need to look at the road when crossing the highway. The super maneuverability of motorcycles sometimes makes people feel that if something really happens to them, they should feel lucky.
With the intermittent rain, Yunluo visited the church, the Military Museum, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Temple of Literature along the way. When walking back in the afternoon, he was surprised to find a barbecue rice noodle restaurant. The twenty thousand yuan was really touching for the food. He was also chatted up by three Vietnamese girls. Later, when he left his contact information, he really regretted not leaving their email addresses.
International relationships still need to be cultivated, otherwise you will be alone and helpless in the future, so you still need to keep in touch with the Irish grandpa and aunt. It is really impolite not to keep in touch. By leaving contact information with each other, I found that I am still not polite enough, and my comfortable and casual lifestyle has become a superficial bad habit.
Things are messy and redundant. It takes a lot of time to clean up every day. Even so, a lot of things are still lost. Yunluo met a linguist who was a linguist of ten languages. He said he was here to attend the Esperanto Conference. This language has been around for 125 years. This is the highest level conference on Esperanto.
Yunluo was moved by what he said. He gave Yunluo his business card. The old man was a language genius. He now lived in Japan and worked on compiling Chinese, Korean and Japanese dictionaries. He rode his unicycle and exercised around the Sword Lake. Yunluo also wanted to go to this meeting. He gave Yunluo the address without any belief. Yunluo felt that this world-class meeting was something that Yunluo had to go to.
I returned to the youth hostel at around four in the afternoon. I watched others playing billiards on the fifth floor and wondered why I was Chinese and how I could fit in with them. Finally, I found a British guy and played two games with him, but I couldn't strike up a conversation with him because we couldn't communicate in the same language. We could only have a simple chat with him on the premise of mutual respect. I guess he thought Yun Luo was boring and that someone was dominating the place, so he left.
On the way, I met a girl who seemed very nice. I just said hello to her. Later, she left and made an excuse. Yunluo also left. Since then, Yunluo deeply felt the importance of being awesome in language. It is not about being awesome, but being awesome without any flaws. It is the first step to integrate into their group.
In this environment where Europeans and Americans gather together, I feel like I am abroad. I finally understand why Chinese people always hang out together. Only in the right group can I find the meaning of my existence.
The sleeping bus of Xin Coffee provides mineral water and blankets. After leaving the busiest place in Hanoi, the sky gradually darkened. There was not much light except for the dim lights in the shops. Yunluo still remembers the bright moon that night, which made Yunluo excited and she didn't fall asleep until one o'clock. (To be continued...)
