There is a very delicious fish & chip restaurant in Hamden near the Boulders. Yunluo and Anqingju both thought it was the best in New York. Don't miss it!
The buildings in Oamaru are quite beautiful. Because they were in a hurry, Yunluo and An Qingju did not stay in Oamaru for too long. They only stayed in Oamaron, which is easy to find. You can buy fresh salmon, smoked salmon, etc. here.
It is no more than 3 kilometers away from the town center. It is a little bit south of Twizel, on the main road from Twizel to Queenstown. Just after leaving Wizel, you can see a fork in the road, marked to Lakeohau. Turn in and walk about 20 kilometers towards the snow-capped mountains to reach Lake Ohau. The scenery of the snow-capped mountains along the way is very magnificent. Lake Ohau is also very spectacular. The blue lake water sets off the magnificent snow-capped mountains. It is worth a trip.
After passing Twizel, drive along Hooker Valley Rd onto Highway 80 towards Lake Pukaki. The sky is blue and it is very stunning. Highway 80 ends at the end of Lake Pukaki. Turn onto Highway 8 and drive east. There is an open space on the side of the road. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery and see the entire Lake Pukaki. Looking directly at Mount Cook on the other side of the lake, it is full of blue.
In a hurry, Yunluo and An Qingju gave up Mount Cook and headed straight for Lake Tekapo. It turned out to be the right choice. Yunluo and An Qingju caught up with the most beautiful road, sea of flowers and sunset in their trip to New Zealand.
At 8 o'clock in the evening, Yunluo and An Qingju drove to a road near Lake Tekapo. The emptiness here was incomparable to anywhere else, and many films were murdered here again.
It was already dark when they arrived at Lake Tekapo. In order to watch the stars at night, Yunluo and Anqingju took the time to survey the terrain.
To the north of the town is the turquoise lake. Across the lake is the majestic Southern Alps. The fine rock powder formed by the flow of glaciers is suspended on the lake surface, giving Lake Tekapo a rich turquoise color.
There is a "Sheepdog Monument" near the church. This bronze statue expresses the local people's gratitude to the sheepdogs. It is engraved with the words: "Without the help of sheepdogs, it is impossible to graze in the mountains." (I went there in the morning to take pictures, and the light was backlit in the afternoon).
There are many walking trails along the lakeshore. You can hike up to the Mt. John Lookout (1031 meters) or Cowans Mountain and enjoy a cup of coffee at the cafe on the top of the mountain. You can also drive directly to the top of the mountain (but the lane is closed after 6 pm) while enjoying the magnificent view of the Mackenzie Basin.
Another attraction is the clear sky, especially the starry sky at night, the Milky Way and the Southern Cross are particularly bright. There are lupines in January.
Laketekapo has a famous "lakeside" Japanese restaurant, which is pretty good, with lake views, teriyaki salmon rice and salmon rice (don), delicious! With miso soup. 18 yuan per serving. Shepherd's Church, the best time to take pictures is sunset. You can take pictures from the opposite side of the lake, and you can also take in the mountain view.
I climbed Mt John. There is an observatory on the top of the mountain. The scenery is very nice, but it is a bit tiring to climb up. If you like hot springs, you can observe at the Ory Qualmark Observatory at night: Stargazing Night Tour (2hrs, NZ$80, Tel: 03-6806960), NZ$125 per person
After seeing the starry sky, grassland, lake and snow-capped mountains, the way back was so peaceful. All Yunluo and An Qingju had to do was enjoy the peace. The faint parting thoughts kept intruding on Yunluo and An Qingju.
Yunluo and An Qingjue returned to where they started, back to Christchurch.
After buying some local specialties at the supermarket and having a sumptuous dinner at the motor camp, Yunluo and An Qingju were ready to go home.
Christchurch is the third largest city in New Zealand, with a population of 350,000. The center of the city is the church named after the Christ Church of Oxford University, which was built by the British in 1864. The church and the square around it are famous tourist attractions in Christchurch and are a must-see for tourists to Christchurch.
The whole city is centered on this church and the church square. The buildings in the city are unique and built in the style of England. The road names are all British street names. The climate here is mild and dry, with an average temperature of about 10 degrees Celsius in winter and an average temperature of about 22 degrees Celsius in summer. The good climate makes the beautiful Christchurch green and full of flowers all year round.
Here, the awe-inspiring beauty and magnificence of the Antarctic continent are brought to tourists through complex sound and light simulations and realistic audio and video and other modern scientific and technological means. Christchurch is an important station for traveling to Antarctica from the Southern Hemisphere. In the early 19th century, an expedition team passed through Christchurch to Antarctica.
The interior of the Antarctic Pavilion is designed according to the climate and ice and snow of Antarctica, and it also plays videos of Antarctic polar scenery. Tickets are 50nz, which is relatively cost-effective.
Next is to rent a car. Follow the signs out of the airport and all the car rental companies are lined up on the other side of the road. There are not many people at the Hertz counter. After telling the staff the purpose of the visit, we will start the car pick-up process.
The staff asked for the driver's license and the translation. Yunluo's driver's license is a new version, and many contents have English annotations. According to the original guide, it should not be necessary! But fortunately, I kept a hand and took out the translation of the driver's license written by myself and handed it over.
Let me add here that whether to bring this translation document or not is actually a question that has been discussed a lot. An Qingju and Yunluo rented a car three times during this trip, including Melbourne and Hobart, where they were required to show their driver's license, while Sydney Hertz didn't even bother to look at their driver's license. And the purpose of this translation document, according to Yunluo's observation, is just to facilitate the staff to input your driver's license information.
It is not necessary to verify the authenticity of your driver's license, so Yunluo's advice is not to be lazy, and to print a copy before going out, and it doesn't cost anything. After all the formalities were completed, the staff handed over a small paper bag with the parking location, license plate number, and color written on it, containing the documents, and said: "The car is in the parking lot, the keys are in the car, enjoy your holiday."
After walking out of the counter, he headed straight to the parking lot. While others were packing their cars and luggage, Yunluo quickly took out his phone to set up navigation. He was stunned when he turned on the navigation. There was no signal at all. Yunluo went to the most empty station. After waiting for 10 minutes, it still didn't work. It seemed that this mobile navigation plan was a tragedy.
Fortunately, the iPad can be used at this time. Open the Melbourne map. There is a small blue dot on the map, which is the current location of An Qingju and Yunluo. It can be used, but it is not yet proficient. Okay, time is money, Yunluo jumped into the driver's seat and started! Not far from the airport, there is an exit to the Western Ring Road.
Then we drove on Princes Freeway and finally arrived at Geelong. Along the way, due to the fatigue of the journey and the unfamiliarity with the right-hand drive in Australia, the car body always leaned to the left, occasionally attracting the attention of passing vehicles. Another thing to say is that the speed limit on these roads is 100km, but many local vehicles are speeding, sometimes forcing you to go faster.
There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!
After driving for about an hour, we arrived at er, an Australian fast food chain. We ordered the famous fish and chips, as well as hamburgers, fried chicken and so on.
As for the taste, Yunluo didn't think it was delicious, probably because of fatigue and not being used to western food. After a short rest in the restaurant, someone else drove the car and continued along the B100 highway.
Driving onto the B100 highway, you can be considered to have officially entered the Great Ocean Road, Pbell, all the way to Warrnambool. This coastal highway is nearly 300 kilometers long and is one of the must-see attractions for travel enthusiasts in their lifetime.
Most of the roads run slowly along the rugged and winding coast, passing through the magnificent Great Otway National Park. Its main attractions also include historical villages, seaside resorts, rich farms, the famous Twelve Apostles and many charming views.
