The day before yesterday of the 1294th

You can only take part in the aerial sightseeing, or you can choose to fly + eat, such a trip costs about 500 Australian dollars per person. Lyne Park in Rose Bay was once the oldest airport in Sydney. The seaplane base was built here, only a 20-minute drive from the center of Sydney.

At around 12 noon, Yunluo and An Chuyu gathered at the dock. First, they filled out a form about their health status and weighed themselves. Then, under the guidance of the captain, they put on their life jackets and were ready to go! This was Yunluo's first time riding a seaplane, so she was a little nervous.

With the help of the handsome captain, Yunluo was the first to board the plane and sat in the last row. Because it took off over the sea and was at the back, the rumbling sound during takeoff was still very loud, and the slope was also greater than that of ordinary planes. After the plane reached a certain height, it was very stable, and the noise was much better than that of a helicopter.

Everything in front of me started to become small, and the magnificent scenery began. The Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge contrasted with the blue sea and blue sky, the towering buildings and the endless green land, the giant ship slowly passing through the sea, and the sailboats floating lightly. At this moment, my eyes were not enough, and the camera in my hand kept clicking.

These photos without watermarks are from my traveling companion Mu Shan. The entire flight took about 20 minutes. The scenery on the right side where Yun Luo sat was not that great, but the scenery on the left side where he sat was much better. Here is a reminder for friends who want to take a seaplane in the future.

Remember to sit on the left! The seaplane landed on the sea of Palm Bay. Yunluo and Anchuyu transferred from the plane to the speedboat to the beach. At this time, the minibus of Jonahswhalebeach restaurant was already waiting for Yunluo and Anchuyu. Such a considerate and compact connection undoubtedly gave the guests a sense of dignity.

Jonahs is located on the top of the cliff, where there is plenty of sunshine and gentle sea breeze. This scene reminds Yunluo of the seaside cliff town in southern Europe. This is a restaurant that mainly serves new Australian cuisine. The cooking master Alfonso once worked as a chef at the famous El Bulli restaurant.

I didn't get to eat the food of elbulli, which was once ranked the world's number one restaurant, in Spain for a few years, so I made up for it in Australia. Alfonso will develop different menus according to the seasons. His contemporary southern European dishes also won the "Chef Hat" award in the 2012 Good Food Guide Competition. Exquisite appetizers.

Yunluo ordered the Alaskan crab salad as the first dish. The shape, color and presentation of the dish all looked like a work of art. My friends ordered different dishes, but everyone took turns taking photos of each dish. It was a feast for both taste and vision. Every dish was a masterpiece. While enjoying the 180-degree unbeatable sea view, we ate the delicious food.

It was already 3pm after lunch. Back at the beach in Palm Bay, Yunluo and An Chuyu continued to take a seaplane back to Rose Bay. It was late autumn in Sydney, and the sun began to warm up at 4pm. I thought I would miss the beautiful scenery on the way back, but the light gradually dimmed as the sun set. Fortunately, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, with a slight golden glow in the afterglow, was still beautiful.

Back to Rose Bay. The whole seaplane trip is over, and I can see the golden sunset when I look back. Enjoying an unparalleled view of Sydney on the plane and enjoying a fine meal in Sydney's most prestigious seaside high-end luxury hotel is really an unforgettable trip. Among the countries that Yunluo has visited.

The cost of traveling to Australia is relatively high, but with such beautiful scenery and delicious food for 500 Australian dollars, my friends who traveled with me all said it was worth it. It is indeed not expensive in any country. If you travel with your parents or your loved ones in the future, you might as well splurge a little! We arrived in Cairns. The time was just right, not too early or too late, at noon.

Unfamiliar with the place. Yunluo and Anchuyu naturally chose to take the airport shuttle bus to the hotel, because in their impression, taxis are always more expensive than these shuttles. As a result, when they first arrived in Australia, this impression was refreshed. The two spent AUD28 to buy tickets. They waited for 20 minutes before getting on the minibus.

But the next morning Yunluo and An Chuyu took a taxi from the hotel to the airport. It was not too late. If you meet someone traveling with you, you can share the taxi. It can be seen that you should be careful when taking the airport bus in Cairns~~~ We arrived at the hotel at 2pm. Australian hotels are really strange. The check-in time is 3pm, and the check-out time is actually 10am.

But character must be conserved. Yunluo was not turned away at any time during the whole trip. Even when he arrived in the morning, he was able to check in directly. Since Yunluo and An Chuyu were flying to Hamilton Island the next morning, they would only stay in Cairns for one afternoon, and compared to the beautiful Outer Great Barrier Reef.

Yunluo and An Chuyu actually don't care much about Green Island, Magnetic Island and the Great Barrier Reef that have been destroyed by humans. It's still nice to just wander around Cairns city and have fun. The picture above is directly outside the hotel. In fact, the hotel is quite good, it's called Rydgesesplanaderesortcairns, and it's a chain.

You can see several of them along the way in Australia, and the geographical location is also good~~This is a swimming pool near the sea in the city. Although it is sunset, the children are still playing carefree. I wonder if the children in China are on their way to tutoring classes after school. It’s heartbreaking to think about it. This is Yunluo’s first meal in Australia.

A Chinese buffet opened by a Korean. You can put as much as you want on a plate. Different sizes of plates have different prices. Yunluo seems to be not recommended. Everything is sweet. But the squid and shrimp are still good.

Yunluo loves Hamilton Island the most. Hamilton Island had a heart-wrenching flight to Brisbane in the early morning of the next day, and then transferred to Hamilton. However, when I arrived in Hamilton, my mood suddenly became happy, and I felt that everything was worth it. I have to say, the rich island is the rich island, and the smell of rich people is everywhere. Hahaha, just look at the pictures!

Whitsundayapartments overlooks the hotel downstairs, and has its own small swimming pool~ Although Yunluo has never been there, it is sad that the lives of rich people are different. This small golf cart is a buggy (actually not expensive, it seems to be AUD 70/day, the specific price is unknown). The means of transportation on the island.

It seems that Chinese driver's licenses only need to be translated and notarized before they can be rented, but Yunluo and An Chuyu did not drive themselves the whole time, so naturally they would not notarize their driver's licenses for renting this thing. Seeing foreigners renting cars with their families, it's so impressive! I said weakly, posing for photos to guess Yunluo as a foodie.

Where to go first after arriving on the island? Haha, Yunluo actually went to the supermarket. Let's take a look at the goods Yunluo bought from the supermarket. All these, added up, basically cost AUD 57 yuan. Wow, look at people's purchasing power. They bought so many bags of goods for only 50+. These goods are at least 200 in domestic supermarkets. Wow, a big steak weighing more than one pound.

Two pounds of ground beef, milk, juice, vegetables, bread, and mushrooms in the bag~~Whitsundayapartments Yunluo and An Chuyu were happily cooking when they decided to show off their cooking skills. An unexpected guest came to the window. It was this one Yunluo and An Chuyu found later.

This yellow-crowned parrot is a very common bird on the island. Not only can you see it every day, but if you eat on the balcony, you will definitely see them visiting. The wildlife souvenir shop specializes in selling dolls of this kind of parrot~ It’s super cute. After all, Yunluo and An Chuyu are not here to cook, so they should come down early for a stroll after dinner.

You can also waste time on the island~ You can stroll to the swimming pool of the even more handsome and rich hotel next door. It is obviously high-end and atmospheric! It gets dark, but it feels great, right? The tropical scenery is unobstructed. Here is an Australian ice cream. I only eat this double scoop ice cream along the way. It is super delicious and the price is acceptable.

Haha, as long as it is not converted into RMB, well, the two balls in the picture above seem to be, now look, they are real, they are said to be two balls, but in fact each ball is super big, and the ice cream spoon has to roll several times in the bucket to make a ball~ It looks real~ The sun is setting, and I will take a helicopter to see the Heart-shaped Reef tomorrow!

Yunluo always thought that if Yunluo and An Chuyu had not gone to the Kuranda Rainforest in Cairns and the Brisbane Zoo, they would never have the chance to hug a koala. Fortunately, on this small Hamilton Island, Yunluo found a place to hug a koala, which is Wildlife Park. Yunluo will give you the website address first.

Of course, this is the official website of Hamilton Island. There is a lot of information on it, not just about holding a koala. Students in need can use it as a reference. The koala-holding activity here is called "Breakfast with Koalas", a very cute name for an activity that is actually a buffet breakfast. There are two trees in the dining area, with a koala sleeping on each tree.

The tree is very short, and tall boys can reach out and touch the koalas, but of course this is forbidden. Haha, it is also very interesting to eat under the koala tree. Breakfast is AUD 28 per person, and taking photos is AUD 20 per person. Breakfast is just so-so. After all, no one goes there for food, but to see koalas.

A special mention goes to Yunluo who took the photos. I must give a thumbs up to the photography staff. Although the charge is AUD20/person, the actual requirement is AUD20/hold, which means only one person can hold the koala. But no matter how many poses you want, how many people you want to take the photo with, and how many cameras you bring, the staff will patiently help you take the photos.

Yunluo and An Chuyu saw with their own eyes a family with four children. The mother was holding a koala, and the father and the children posed in many ways around the mother and the koala. The staff were always very patient, and everyone could safely give their own cameras to the staff. The photos taken were guaranteed to satisfy you. Finally, the staff took a few photos with their own SLR cameras.

The photos were printed into A5 size and given to Yunluo and An Chuyu to take away, and there was also a paper photo frame as a souvenir. It must be said that the enthusiastic working attitude of the Australians left Yunluo and An Chuyu with too many beautiful memories of this trip. I have talked for so long, so let me just post some pictures first, and don’t talk about getting up early to look at them.

Just to be closer to the koala while eating, although the people taking pictures of the koala can move around freely and it is not that you can't take pictures if your seat is far away, but it is still more fun to eat under the koala tree. This is the koala that Yunluo took when he was sitting at his own seat. The koala was sleeping quietly and only opened its eyes a few times.

Lazy stuff~ This is a photo taken by the staff for Yunluo and An Chuyu. The koala is super cute and heavy. An Chuyu can only touch it but not hug it. The fur of the koala is very similar to the wool in snow boots. Hahaha, I strongly recommend Yunluo not to hug a koala before going there, because when they went to Australia, someone else was wearing a short-sleeved shirt and hugged a koala and got his arm scratched.

And they say koalas don't smell good. I don't know if Yunluo is too lucky, the one Yunluo held had no problems at all, and was as well-behaved as a child~~ Another highlight of the day was the half-day trip to Whitehaven, which was booked on the first day at the Marina on Hamilton Island, AUD99/person, which was actually just for the sake of cheapness.

There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!

Because I saw that the Aole was priced at AUD179/person, I guess it was cheap for a reason. Yunluo and Anchuyu's half-day tour could only play with sand on the beach and could not reach the viewing platform. It was just a taste of White Heaven. This is White Heaven. The sand is indeed very fine, but it is not amazing. Not many people go into the water.

Most people were lying on the beach to dry their salted fish, but Yunluo didn't understand. Where can't salted fish be dried? You came all the way here just to dry your salted fish? ? ? The rich people took a seaplane, and of course Yunluo posed for photos. There is a website on the plane. If you are interested, you can refer to the content of the website. For the losers, it is more reliable to take a boat to go and return at 99/person.

Look. I'm not kidding you, there are only a few people on the beach, and almost no one in the water. The main reason may be too much sun, no, it's just too much sun. It's all tears if I talk too much. It's been more than a month, and Yunluo is still black and white. How can I say about the half-day tour of White Heaven? It's not bad, maybe it's cheap.

Or maybe Yunluo and An Chuyu had too high expectations? In short, the half-day tour was just playing with sand on the beach. There was no chance to reach the viewing platform, so there was no chance to see the panoramic view of Whitehaven. Fortunately, Yunluo and An Chuyu had seen it on the helicopter. If they didn't have the chance to hug the helicopter, they would not have saved the money.

Let's sign up for a day trip to Whitehaven. After coming back, we decided to take a half-day tour around the island, mainly because we have to leave tomorrow, and there are many scenery on the island that we haven't seen yet. Let's talk about the transportation on the island. It was mentioned above that people on the island mainly travel by golf carts and buggies, and according to Yunluo's observation, this buggy is left-hand drive.

It is the same as the habits of our Chinese people. It is probably quite easy to drive. Just pay attention to the fact that other people also drive on the left. Don't drive against the flow. Of course, if some people rent buggies, there must be others who don't. How do those who don't rent buggies go out? They have to rely on public transportation. Public transportation includes the green line, orange line and purple line.

The Green Line is the most common, going to fewer places and a smaller range, but there are a lot of cars. There is definitely a bus every 10-15 minutes. The Orange Line and Purple Line are similar. Compared to the Green Line, they go to farther places and have relatively fewer cars, with one bus every 40 minutes. This is the best place to watch the sunset on the island as mentioned by Yunluo below.

Oreehill is not accessible by the Green Line. You need to take the Orange Line or Purple Line. You just need to watch the time and don't miss the last bus. It's still quite a long way to walk back. I just mentioned that this place is called Oreehill. Haha, this name is so uncultured. There are similar names like Mangotreecorner. What kind of names are these?

Hahaha. Although the name is a bit rustic, the scenery is still nice. The picture above was taken by Yunluo at oreehill. The white building in the picture is the hotel where Yunluo and An Chu met. Wow, foreigners really know how to enjoy themselves. They drank a little wine while waiting for the sunset. At the oreehill station, the staff had set up a temporary bar early.

They sell all kinds of cocktails, juices, etc., which are not expensive, AUD5-10/cup. Yunluo and An Chuyu did not try them, but you must not miss it~ The sun has set, it's time to go home~ This is tonight's dinner, bought at the fish and chip shop, this plate of tiger prawns is AUD20, which is still quite cheap even after multiplying by the exchange rate.

Anyway, you definitely can’t buy such fresh prawns for 100 yuan in Beijing. The weather is good today. Here is a night view. There are so many stars in the sky and they are very bright. It’s just that the camera is not very powerful, so you’ll have to make do with it.

Viewing the Great Barrier Reef from a helicopter. Today is the day that Yunluo is most looking forward to during her and Anchuyu's trip. The reason is that Yunluo has booked an activity to fly there and back by helicopter to overlook the heart-shaped Great Barrier Reef. There is a general introduction to this activity booked on Aole in the travel notes, so I will repeat the URL here.

I'm repeating Yunluo's review on Aole for your reference: Since Yunluo and An Chuyu had booked to fly there and return by boat, the helicopter company didn't pick them up until 10:30, so they couldn't waste the good time early in the morning. Since they didn't have too much time, it was great to just walk around. Here are some pictures.

This is also the swimming pool of the handsome and rich hotel next door to Yunluo and An Chuyu. It is much more upscale than Yunluo and An Chuyu's own hotel. I think Yunluo is very satisfied with her own hotel. I don't know if it's in other people's hotels. I drooled in the morning and thought about wearing clothes that are easy to put on and take off, so I put on a big T-shirt outside the bikini. (To be continued...)
