Chapter 137 Arrest
I was sitting in the dessert shop, feeling a little restless.
At this moment, the cell phone suddenly rang with a crisp ringtone. I glanced at the screen and found that it was Yu Sheng calling.
"Hello?" There was a hint of nervousness in my voice.
"I'm a little busy at work today. I'll ask Assistant Liu to pick you up in the evening." Yu Sheng's voice came from the other end of the phone, calm and gentle.

My mind kept replaying what Xu Fei had said to me. Is Yu Sheng really okay? Why is he so busy? A series of questions flooded my mind, making me feel extremely anxious.
As night fell, I returned home alone. The room was filled with silence and loneliness. Yu Sheng hadn't returned all night, and my worries were growing.
I tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep, my thoughts in a mess.
The next morning, sunlight shone through the curtains onto the floor, creating a mottled pattern of light and shadow.
I got up early, tidied myself up, and decided to go to Yu Sheng's new company to find him.
This new company is located in Shengcheng, in the heart of the city. The building exudes a blend of modern and classical beauty, which is eye-catching. Inside the high-end brand new building, all eighteen floors belong to his company.
As I walked into the company gate, the employees' faces were filled with smiles and they nodded to me in a friendly manner. I called Yu Sheng, and soon, Chen Yi came to greet me in person.
"Sister-in-law, why are you here?" Chen Yi looked at me in surprise, with a hint of doubt in his eyes.
"I...I'm a little worried about Yu Sheng." I asked softly, with concern in my tone.
"He's discussing some matters with Xie Xin, but I can take you upstairs to wait for him." Chen Yi said enthusiastically and led me into the elevator.
He swiped his card to enter the floor, and the elevator door slowly closed, carrying us upwards.
As the elevator rose, my heartbeat gradually quickened.
Finally, the elevator reached the 18th floor, the door opened, and I stepped out, entering Yu Sheng's office. It was decorated exquisitely and elegantly, with every detail showcasing taste and style.
Chen Yi arranged for me to sit in the conference room and handed me a bottle of water. "Sit down first, Brother Yu will be here soon."
"Okay!" I took the water.
After 10 minutes, Yu Sheng walked in. His handsome face looked a little haggard. He came and sat down next to me.
"Missed me?"
"I wanted to come see you. Did you not sleep all night?"
"Well, I've been busy with company matters." Yu Sheng responded and reached out to touch my face.
His eyes looked a little tired, but he still asked worriedly, "Have you eaten?"
I shook my head. “Not yet.”
"Chen Yi, arrange for someone to buy some breakfast!" Yu Sheng ordered.
“Okay, Brother Yu.” Chen Yi responded respectfully, then turned around and went out to make arrangements.
In a short while, the steaming hot breakfast was served. Yu Sheng took the breakfast, put it on the table, and said to me gently: "Come and taste it, this is the best breakfast around here."
I looked at him, feeling warm inside, but I couldn't help but want to ask him about the company. However, the words came to my lips, but I couldn't say them.
Yu Sheng seemed to notice something was wrong with me and frowned slightly. "Are you worried about something?"
I quickly shook my head, "No, it's just that I don't have classes today, and I want to stay with you for a while."
He smiled and leaned in, gently kissing the side of my face, "Baby, I'll be fine. Did anyone tell you something?"
I lowered my head and whispered, "No, I'll go back after I finish eating so as not to disturb you from working."
He put his arm around my waist, smiled and said, "I'm quite happy to think that you care about me!"
"Stay with me for a while." Yu Sheng held my hand and refused to let go. "Let's go have lunch together later."
I nodded and leaned into his arms, enjoying this moment of peace.
Just then, Yu Sheng's cell phone rang.
He glanced at the screen and his expression turned serious.
"I'm going to take care of some things. You wait here for me." Yu Sheng stood up and straightened his clothes.
My heart tightened, "Okay, go ahead."
Yu Sheng walked out of the meeting room, leaving me sitting there alone.
I was sitting there when I heard the noise outside getting louder and louder. I immediately stood up, walked out, and saw the scene in front of me.
Yu Sheng stared at the policeman in front of him with cold eyes.
The police chief said, "Xie Xin is involved in organized crime, suspected of money laundering, and suspected of illegally operating a casino. We need to arrest Xie Xin."
There were five policemen in total, and Xie Xin's subordinates estimated that there were more than forty of them. They surrounded them, and the situation was tense and seemed to be on the verge of breaking out.
Yu Sheng stood by and suppressed the anger on his face, his eyes as cold as the December wind.
"Mr. Yu, can't you manage your subordinates?" This was said by the police chief opposite.
"Look at what you said. My subordinates are so strong-willed. How can I, as their boss, suppress their nature?"
"Yu Sheng, you are instigating an attack on the police." Gu Yucheng stood up and shouted at Yu Sheng.
"Who did I think he was? Isn't this the righteous man who even sent his own father in jail? It's really your father's honor to raise such a rebellious son like you!" Yu Sheng's words were full of sarcasm.
Gu Yucheng's face flushed red, and he wanted to rush over to hit Yu Sheng, but Xu Fei stopped him. "Yucheng, we're here to arrest Xie Xin today!"
"I tell you, you know clearly what you have done. Today we arrested Xie Xin, and the next one might be you!" Gu Yucheng stared at Yu Sheng with an upright and fearless look.
"If you have evidence, bring it out. You are slandering me with empty words. I can ask a lawyer to sue you!" Yu Sheng's eyes were fierce, as if he wanted to kill Gu Yucheng.
I took a deep breath, walked out, and quickly came behind Yu Sheng.
"Yu Sheng, what are you doing? They are police officers!" I grabbed Yu Sheng's clothes tightly and said anxiously.
Yu Sheng heard my voice, turned around, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes: "Why did you come out?" Then he ordered Shen Yi: "Chen Yi, take her back."
"Sister-in-law, let's go to the conference room over there!" Chen Yi said softly.
"I won't leave, Yu Sheng, you can't attack the police, don't do such a thing!" I anxiously and sincerely grabbed Yu Sheng's arm, trying to persuade him.
Yu Sheng glanced at me, and there seemed to be a hint of helplessness in his eyes.
He glared at the policemen again, then turned and walked to Xie Xin and whispered a few words to him.
"Get out of the way!" Yu Sheng suddenly spoke, his voice filled with unquestionable majesty.
Xie Xin's subordinates immediately made way respectfully.
"Xiao Xin, remember to cooperate with the police. I will come to pick you up!" Yu Sheng shouted loudly behind Xie Xin.
"Brother Yu, I will!" Xie Xin responded respectfully.
I raised my head and my eyes met Gu Yucheng and Xu Fei.
They also looked at me with complicated expressions on their faces, but neither of them said anything. They silently walked out of the company with the thank-you letter.
