Chapter 53 Meeting
After a long winter vacation, we finally welcomed the day of school. I was so happy that I didn’t have to see Yu Sheng at home every day.

"Drinking something sweet will make you feel better all day!" I happily shared the milk tea with everyone.

Gu Yucheng took my milk tea and transferred the money to me privately.
"No need, this is my treat!" I said softly to Gu Yucheng.
Gu Yucheng took a sip of milk tea and said coldly, "I don't want to owe anyone anything, so you keep it."
Hu Xin chatted over milk tea. "All the universities in Shengcheng are having a sports meet. Leaders from the provincial government will be coming down, and those who perform well can participate in the special recruitment process for the Provincial Police Academy. Didn't Yucheng always want to be a police officer? We need to work hard!"
Gu Yucheng nodded confidently. "I'm definitely going to the Police Academy for the special recruitment!"
"What project are you planning to apply for?" Xu Fei asked.
Hu Xin thought for a moment and said, "I can just run 400 meters!"
"What about Yucheng?" Xu Fei asked again.
"2000 meters!" Gu Yucheng said confidently.

"Then you should eat more and replenish your energy!" I blurted out to Gu Yucheng.
Gu Yucheng looked up at me and nodded. In his heart, his mother had said the same thing to Yao Qian.
"Qianqian is so beautiful, she should be the face of the store!" Chen Xue continued.
"You two are both good! We are equally beautiful!" I don't like to show off in my heart, especially after being with Yu Sheng, I just want to keep a low profile.
The school started training, and everyone was running, long jumping, and throwing shot put with all their might in physical education class.
The physical education teacher looked at Gu Yucheng and Xu Fei and nodded happily, as if the two were born athletes.
They were training when a petite girl came over and handed a love letter to Gu Yucheng.
She blushed and confessed! "Gu Yucheng, I like you!"
Gu Yucheng didn't take the love letter and gave her a cold look. "I don't like girls. Please stay away from me!"
The girl was so hurt by his reply that she burst into tears and ran away.
"Yucheng, even if you don't like it, you can be gentle to girls!" Hu Xin said, putting his arm around his shoulders.
"Get out of here!" Gu Yucheng's sharp features revealed a gloomy look as he threw Hu Xin's hand away.
"Yucheng gets very angry every time a girl confesses her love to him. Let's stop trying to persuade her!" Xu Fei said to Hu Xin.
I saw all the athletes being offered water after training. Gu Yucheng was the only one sitting there, feeling quite lonely.
I handed the bottle of mineral water to Xu Fei. "Give this to Gu Yucheng. Don't say it's from me, just say it's from you."
Xu Fei took the mineral water and smiled. "That's thoughtful!"
"We are friends! He is too proud to accept things from girls, so we should be considerate of him." I said with a smile.
Xu Fei walked towards Gu Yucheng, handed him the water and said enthusiastically, "Yao Qian gave it to you!"
Gu Yucheng looked up at me.
I was shocked. That's not what I said to Xu Fei.
Xu Fei looked at Gu Yucheng and said, "She said we are friends. If you don't drink, I will."
Gu Yucheng glared at Xu Fei fiercely, then snatched the bottle of mineral water and drank it all in one gulp.
Xu Fei turned around and smiled at me triumphantly.
I felt a little embarrassed, so I quickly turned around and left in a hurry.
After school, Chen Xue and I were walking down the street. Suddenly, Gu Yucheng came up from behind. He handed over a bottle of mineral water with a blank expression and said coldly, "Here you go! I don't like owing people things!"
"It's just a bottle of water, no big deal, I..."
His eyes were still cold, and his tone was firm: "Take it!"
