Chapter 128

In early April, the warm sunshine made the camphor tree leaves shine, and the cherry blossom trees on both sides of the street were in full bloom, more lush than ever before.

The basketball tournament at S University started as scheduled. During the week that the tournament began, the weather was fine every day, neither too hot nor too cold.

The basketball court on the south side of the campus was already packed with students who had come to watch, mostly girls from all grades. Everyone's face was filled with undisguised excitement and curiosity.

There's no way around it; basketball games never seem to lack passion for young girls, not for the basketball itself, but for the young and energetic boys on the court.

"I heard Pei Ke is here today too, I'm so excited!"

"To be honest, this is Pei Ke's first time participating in a basketball game in his four years of college. I've only heard that he's very good at tennis."

"I didn't come to the preliminary round last time, but some of my best friends showed me the photos on the forum. Ahhh, I'm dead. I'd be willing to be the sweat on his nose."

The girls in front of her were chattering away. Su Xun recognized them; they were her juniors from the Chinese Literature Department, whom she often saw in the college. Their conversation was undoubtedly all about Pei Ke.

Pei Ke was the school's most handsome man for four years; it would be strange if he weren't famous.

Wen Yanyan nudged Su Xun beside her with her shoulder, "Hey, these girls are clinging to your boyfriend, aren't you going to do anything about it?"

Su Xun gave Wen Yanyan a look that said, "You're so boring," and then moved to a shady spot.

Someone posted photos of Pei Ke's game on the forum, and she saw them too. The man was wearing the school's uniform basketball jersey, but he could be spotted in the crowd at a glance. It must have been halftime, and he was wiping his sweat with a towel. He was indeed very handsome, both alluring and charismatic, the kind of man she had never seen before.

Last time was the preliminary round. On the day the Japanese department was on stage, the Chinese department had an important lecture that the whole college attended. The counselor checked everyone off the list one by one, and they also checked people off during the break. She couldn't leave at all and missed it.

Fortunately, she didn't miss the semi-finals today, otherwise she would have had to watch the finals.

"Today our department is playing against the Japanese department, Su Xun. Are you supporting your boyfriend or your senior from our department?" Wen Yanyan asked Su Xun with a smile.

Both teams arrived at the stadium just then and listened to what the referee was saying.

The black and red basketball uniforms of the Japanese Department students contrasted sharply with the white uniforms of the Chinese Department students, creating a stark contrast between the two groups. She spotted the exceptionally outstanding figure on the court almost immediately.

Wearing a sports uniform, she looked refreshing. Her delicate profile was facing her, with her entire arm and half of her calf exposed. The smooth muscle lines attracted attention; they weren't exaggerated, but rather the kind of healthy lines.

Standing next to him was a boy in the same color jersey, his dark brown short hair gleaming in the sunlight, and his bright smile never fading.

She slowly asked, "And you, who do you support, your boyfriend or your family?"

Xiang Yang is here too.

"Of course I support Xiang Yang." She quickly gave her answer. "Don't you know the guys in our department? It's fine for them to do literary pursuits and romantic poetry, but forget about sports."

Su Xun: ......

Well, our college team made it to the semi-finals, you know.

The referee blew his whistle, and the game had begun.

Su Xun's gaze followed the familiar figure closely, watching him run, dribble, lean slightly and jump, and shoot.

Their burgeoning hormones radiated vibrantly, and the boys playing basketball under the sunlight were dazzling.

That was a splendor she had never seen before. Every step of the figure in the arena felt like it was stepping on the tip of her heart, "tap tap tap," and her mind gradually became excited.

Her boy was more capable than she had imagined.

She didn't understand the rules of basketball, but she could see the score difference gradually widening on the scoreboard.

Every time a goal was scored, cheers erupted from the sidelines, though these cheers did not belong to their department.

Sure enough, the boys in their department were more suited to romance and literature.
