Chapter 88

November is just around the corner, and cold air is arriving, shrouding the entire school in cold rain.

However, none of this affected the students' pace of class. The semester was already halfway over, and some colleges had set midterm exams. People who were usually busy with club activities were scrambling to get into the library to study, and the public classrooms were full from morning to night.

Meanwhile, the entire staff of the Literature and Journalism Institute, who were not required to take exams, were quite relaxed, brewing a pot of tea every day and reading novels from home and abroad, living a very healthy life.

Now I finally understand why people say the College of Literature and Journalism is like a retirement home for universities.

Since they didn't need to go to the library to reserve seats, Su Xun and his entire dorm stayed indoors, shutting out the cold air outside.

Wen Yanyan scrolled through her phone out of boredom and opened the campus forum.

These past few days everyone has been busy with exams, so there are very few interesting posts. Most of them are asking where to study quietly, or casting a wide net on the forum to inquire about a certain teacher's exam style.

She scrolled down listlessly and saw a post that had been pushed down to the bottom. The huge title immediately caught her eye.

"The girl with the profile picture is pursuing the school heartthrob Pei Ke."

Below, a photo of Su Xun waiting for someone in front of the Japanese Language Institute was thoughtfully included, as well as a photo of the two walking together.

Because fewer people are using the forum recently, the post has sunk to the bottom.

This news startled Wen Yanyan, who immediately exclaimed, "Su Xun, are you pursuing Pei Ke?"

Su Xun was listening to the English Level 4 listening test with her headphones on, and didn't hear clearly, only vaguely hearing Wen Yanyan call her name urgently.

"Huh? What did you say?"

"Are you pursuing Pei Ke?"

"No."

Wen Yanyan breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing the negative answer, but also felt somewhat disappointed. However, Su Xun's words the next second dropped a bombshell on her.

“I wasn’t pursuing him; we were already together.”

Wen Yanyan's mouth dropped open in astonishment, wide enough to fit an egg, her eyes wide with surprise. "No way."

A few seconds later, she suddenly realized, "So the boy you were talking about last time was Pei Ke."

Last time, Su Xun shyly told her about a friend who was pursuing a boy, and she never expected that the boy would be Pei Ke. She usually loves to follow gossip, so she had heard about Pei Ke. He is usually very aloof, but he is so outstanding that many girls secretly admire him.

She was truly astonished that this person had such a deep connection with her roommate whom she lived with day and night.

The other two people who heard the noise also became interested.

Liu Wei: "Su Xun, you've already won over the school heartthrob without even saying a word. That's so unfair of you."

Zhou Qin nodded in agreement: "Yes, Su Xun."

Wen Yanyan raised her voice: "That's not the point, the point is Pei Ke!"

She rushed forward, grabbed Su Xun's shoulders, and shook him gently twice. "Su Xun, tell us what really happened, but don't use your friend as a cover anymore."

Su Xun had no intention of hiding it from her roommate. She briefly talked about her relationship with Pei Ke, omitting some details, and recounted their history from elementary school to junior high.

"This is so sweet! Childhood sweethearts!" Wen Yanyan couldn't help but exclaim after hearing it.

Is it sweet?

"Of course, your experience is exactly the same as those romance novels I read several years ago."

"Now that you mention it, it's true." Su Xun smiled.

"No way, I have to reply to that person's post. What do you mean by 'pursuing the school heartthrob'? They're making you sound so bad. You two have clearly known each other since childhood." Wen Yanyan angrily pulled out her phone and started typing furiously.

"What is that?" Su Xun asked, puzzled by the unfamiliar words.

Pursuing the school heartthrob?

Wen Yanyan placed the phone screen in front of her.

She saw the title above and the photo below, and naturally also saw the text that Wen Yanyan had embellished, but it hadn't been sent out yet.

"It's okay, don't worry about what they say, I don't care."

Since she and Pei Ke were already together, she couldn't be bothered to look at those things on the forum.

"Alright then." Wen Yanyan silently put down her phone after hearing this.
