Chapter Ninety-Eight

The school knew about the incident before the speech and is already taking action. They have warned the anonymous poster who made the defamatory post that they will be severely punished if they are found out. The IDs of those who fanned the flames have been recorded and handed over to their respective college counselors for criticism.

The matter was basically resolved, except for the person who posted it from behind the scenes.

He Chengzheng had already left with his assistant and the school officials, and the students inside gradually dispersed.

Su Xun packed his things and prepared to leave.

The venue was almost empty. She saw Wen Yanyan standing in the first row as soon as she stood up and went over to greet her.

"Su Xun, I didn't expect you to know Chairman He. That's amazing." Wen Yanyan finally asked the question she had been holding back for a long time when she saw Su Xun.

"Yes, he was my mom's classmate in junior high school."

"Wow, does your family really own a gold mine?" Wen Yanyan exclaimed with delight upon hearing this.

"No, my family doesn't have a gold mine, we only have flowers." Su Xun knew what this person was imagining again, so he directly denied it with a cold expression.

After glancing at the work badge hanging around Wen Yanyan's neck, he asked, "Why does your student union have to do these things?"

"Yeah, the student council is just for doing odd jobs. They're good for nothing but doing menial tasks."

Su Xun raised an eyebrow, finally understanding why Wen Yanyan always looked listless after attending student council activities. She glanced around the venue; other student council members wearing the same name tags were already tidying up.

A familiar male voice suddenly came from not far away: "Wen Yanyan, you're slacking off again."

The man quickly approached and glared at Wen Yanyan.

Wen Yanyan pouted, "Minister."

"Who are you chatting with so enthusiastically? Clean up the water on the table." Xiang Yang pointed to the front row where the school leaders were sitting, then turned to look at Su Xun.

Upon touching the other person's face, she exclaimed, "Miss Su Xun! What are you doing here?"

Their attitude completely changed.

Su Xun greeted him.

Su Xun remembered him; he was Xiang Yang, Pei Ke's incredibly talkative roommate. The two had even added each other on WeChat. This guy would occasionally send her a few words praising Pei Ke, making her wonder if he was Pei Ke's crazy little fanboy.

"You two know each other?" Wen Yanyan asked, curious as she saw that the two clearly knew each other.

"Of course, Su Xun is the great benefactor who saved my dearest roommate from dire straits, finally allowing him to find a girlfriend." He said proudly, then looked at Wen Yanyan: "And how did you meet this young lady?"

"She's my classmate and my dearest roommate," Wen Yanyan said with a forced smile.

Su Xun: ...

Su Xun helped tidy up the venue and then went to have dinner with Wen Yanyan.

The two chose the second canteen again.

"Xiang Yang is actually your minister?" Su found a seat, and the two sat down with their trays.

"Um."

"It doesn't feel quite like what you described; it's not as ruthless as you think." Su Xu recalled several scenes from his interactions with Xiang Yang.

This person is pretty good, just a bit silly, but it's possible that she doesn't know him well enough.

"Actually, it's not so bad. Student councils are all like this. But I've recently discovered that he's a very loyal person." Wen Yanyan suddenly put down her chopsticks and moved closer to Su Xun.

"Let me tell you, this time you were framed on the forum, and the minister was completely on our side, fighting back with me. You have to admit, he doesn't hold back at all when he's insulting people, he's a real master of trash talk."

Xiang Yang's actions were something she hadn't expected.

Seeing that Su Xun didn't react, Wen Yanyan took out her phone, opened a screen and showed it to Su Xun, "Let me show you how good this person is at roasting people. When I first saw it, I thought Xiang Yang was your relative."

Su Xun glanced at it and saw that the post had been completely deleted under pressure from the school. Wen Yanyan had taken a screenshot of it.

The top row was filled with Xiang Yang's comments criticizing the original poster, each one insightful, unique, and to the point.

As expected, the king of trash talk... truly lives up to his name.

"Impressive, right? When I saw it, I worshipped it on my phone several times. It seems I still have a long way to go on this path."

This person's ambition is truly... extremely lofty.

Su Xun secretly rubbed his forehead.

"So you took screenshots of all of these, planning to use them as mottoes to study from time to time?"

"Haha, I guess so. I plan to learn more from him. Next time you encounter something like this, I'll definitely send that guy running back to his hometown."

"No, please don't let it happen again, my heart can't take it."

In just one afternoon, the rumors were successfully dispelled. Su Xun even received many messages from people apologizing to her. She glanced at them briefly and then paid no further attention.

I sent Pei Ke a message saying that the matter had been almost resolved and that he shouldn't worry anymore.

Pei Ke was walking back to his dorm when his phone vibrated twice in his hand. He stopped, glanced at Su Xun's message, and replied with a few words. He had watched the live stream of the speech online and learned about He Chengzheng's clarification at the meeting. Most people also knew the truth.

However, there is still one thing that hasn't been done.

He switched the WeChat page to another person's chat interface.

Yang Luonian sent him the name of the person who posted anonymously, along with their grade and major, today.

Staring at the familiar name on the screen, his expression unconsciously turned cold. His eyes narrowed slightly, and a strange light swirled in his dark pupils. He was shrouded in a dim light, his expression obscure and unfathomable.
