Chapter Seventy-Three

The forum was buzzing with discussion, but the woman at the center of the topic was busy putting on a duvet cover.

I just got back to my dorm, found my bed, put down my luggage, and then took the booklet I got at the information desk. I looked at the freshman guide in the booklet and went to the student support office to pick up my blanket.

She skillfully put the quilt on and then took out the items from the suitcase one by one.

She took out the snacks she had prepared earlier from the mezzanine and distributed them to the people in the dormitory.

Although it was called distribution, there were only her and another girl in the dormitory for the time being. The others had not arrived yet, and the only other girl had just gone out. So she put the things on each of their desks.

Everything was almost done, and she planned to sit down and rest for a while.

Suddenly, a girl with curly hair came up to me and said, "Thank you for the snacks."

Su Xun glanced at the jelly in her hand and shook his head. "You're welcome."

The girl was very cute, and when she smiled, two shallow dimples would appear at the corners of her mouth. "My name is Wen Yanyan, what's yours?"

Su Xun smiled in a friendly manner, "Hello, I'm Su Xun."

"So your name is Su Xun." Wen Yanyan nodded in realization.

Su Xun caught certain words, "So that's why?"

The other person smiled knowingly, "Su Xun, haven't you seen the school forum? Everyone's talking about you."

Su Xun was puzzled and continued to look at the people in front of him with a sense of confusion.

Seeing that Su Xun genuinely seemed to know nothing, Wen Yanyan happily recounted the whole story to her and even kindly helped her register a forum account using her student ID.

Looking at the post that already had over a thousand comments, Su Xun felt a bit overwhelmed.

The girl inside was obviously me. Judging from the angle, it must have been taken by the upperclassmen sitting behind the table. Why didn't I feel anything when I was being photographed?

She scrolled through the comments below, and one of them had obviously received a lot of replies.

"I've already gotten the fairy's WeChat, she's absolutely gorgeous in person!"

Below are long comments asking for shares.

Su Xun suddenly thought of the senior from the same department who had escorted her back to her dorm, and her expression turned strange.

If she remembered correctly, the senior student surnamed Xu was always gentle and polite, very patient with her, and not at all as abrupt as she had described in that statement.

Now she finally understood why she felt something was off. The senior student had been perfectly normal the whole way, only seeming a little anxious when asking for her contact information.

So, gossip is the real face of this senior?

Looking at the ever-increasing number of comments, she felt a little ashamed. She had assumed that the students here should all be well-versed in both Chinese and Western learning and have an elegant and proper demeanor.

They're all so... down-to-earth.

She couldn't help but comment below, "Actually, she's not that good-looking in person. She's obviously been overhyped. Everyone, let's move on."

She specifically used her real name "suxun" as her online name to clarify things. She felt a lot of pressure because everyone had such high expectations of her based on just one side profile photo!

What if I meet him in person that day and find that I'm actually quite ordinary? Will I be mistaken for a fraudster?

To her surprise, her comment received a reply as soon as it was posted.

"Where did this lemon spirit come from?? Have you even seen the person in person?" someone said angrily.

"I won't listen, I won't listen, I only believe what I see." There are also those who refuse to face reality.

"Don't think you can impersonate Little Fairy just by using Su Xun's name as your ID. You imposter."

The original poster took the initiative to speak up; she had just seen Su Xun fill out the registration form, so she knew his name.

"Alright, alright, this guy is just bored."

"Wait, so the young lady's name is Su Xun!"

Upon seeing the words "fake," Su Xun's lips twitched violently.

She really is herself, but nobody believes her. What can be done?

In the end, she decided to pretend she didn't see it, figuring the hype would die down after a while and everyone would be too busy with their studies to go online, just like her.

She already knows her class schedule; she has classes all day five days a week.

Wen Yanyan, standing nearby, was furious. "The goddess was right in front of them and they didn't even realize it! These people are complete idiots! I really want to smash them open and see what's inside!"

Su Xun glanced strangely at the back of the head of the person opposite him who was indignant. The girl was holding her phone and her shoulders were shaking with anger.

So what is she angry about? Shouldn't she be the one who is angrier?

Moreover, she was somewhat horrified to hear the word "pig brain" come out of the mouth of a cute girl who looked like a doll.

So is she still a violent loli?

Beiyuan Men's Dormitory

The door was suddenly pushed open roughly, swaying twice due to inertia, bringing with it a gust of wind.

"It's so hot! Welcoming new students is such a hassle. I've been standing outside all day, and my skin has gotten so dark." As soon as he came in, he took off his white T-shirt, which was soaked with sweat, and threw it casually on the stool.

He walked toward the bathroom as he spoke.

"Pei Ke, it's a good thing you didn't go, otherwise you would have gotten a tan like me. If you become ugly, it wouldn't be good if our department's beauty icon was taken down."

Pei Ke sat on his stool, probably having just finished showering, his hair still dripping wet. He casually dried himself with a towel, ignoring his roommate's often surprising remarks.

The man had just reached the door when he remembered he hadn't brought a change of underwear, so he turned back, opened the closet, and rummaged through it. "But it's a loss if you don't go."

He suddenly became interested, closed the cabinet door, picked up his phone and walked over, looking mysterious. "I bet someone as old-timer as you hasn't been on the forums."
