Chapter 50 Changing Seats

A gentle night breeze was blowing. It was still early autumn in October, and the night air was cooler than usual.

The atmosphere during evening self-study was intense. It was the last class, and everyone was making the most of the time to finish their tasks for the day, not wanting to miss a single minute.

"Pei Ke, can you teach me this problem?" Song Lisha brushed some stray hairs from her forehead, slowly moved a test paper over, and pointed to a physics problem.

Pei Ke glanced at it, then quickly wrote a few formulas on the draft paper and pushed them over.

In a calm tone, he said, "The teacher already explained this problem in class today; this is the formula we'll be using."

Noticing that the person next to her seemed unwilling to talk to her, Song Lisha's initially confident mood immediately plummeted, filled with resentment.

When I first found out I was sitting next to him, I was excited for a while, thinking that I would have the advantage of being close to him and that with my efforts, I would one day be able to move him.

But it's been over a month, and the two of them are like strangers, barely communicating at all. Every time they try to start a conversation, it ends after just a few words.

To be honest, she was a little discouraged. Proud as she was, she wouldn't allow herself to live in this sense of defeat forever.

However, she has no other option at the moment.

A knocking sound came from beside the table.

Looking up, she saw a pair of indifferent eyes staring at her.

Why would Gan Tang come looking for her? She remembered that she didn't have much interaction with this person.

Besides, it's class time now, how dare she wander around?

The other students in the classroom were busy with their own things and didn't pay much attention to these few people, assuming they were the class representative collecting homework.

Song Lisha never dared to look Gan Tang in the eye. This person was used to being alone, and in matters of the heart, well... Song Lisha knew that she and Gan Tang were not on the same path.

"I need to talk to Pei Ke about something. Can we switch seats?" Gan Tang asked in a soft voice, not wanting to disturb the other students. Her tone was unusually kind.

Song Lisha was a little reluctant, but seeing that Gan Tang seemed to have something on her mind, she nodded and quietly walked towards Gan Tang's seat with the physics test paper she had just taken.

Why do we have to talk about this in class? It's so weird.

Just as Song Lisha sat down in Gan Tang's seat, she saw that Gan Tang had returned. Thinking that Gan Tang was coming to get something, Song Lisha leaned back a little so that Gan Tang could find it more easily.

To her shock, Gan Tang did not go to her seat, but continued walking to the back. The person in the seat behind her got up and walked to her seat.

What happened?

Song Lisha stared at Gan Tang. Why was it Su Xun who went there?

Gan Tang glanced at Song Lisha with a hint of apology and handed her a note.

"I'm sorry, actually Su Xun has something she wants to talk to Pei Ke about. I'll treat you to something to drink next time."

After reading the words on the paper, Song Lisha finally understood that she had actually created an opportunity for Su Xun to get close to Pei Ke, which made her furious!

However, since he had already promised, he couldn't say much, so he could only turn away angrily.

Su Xun was very uneasy. After being inspired by Gan Tang's words last time, she realized that she still had to make things clear with Pei Ke, at least to let her understand her feelings.

Having figured it out, Su Xun felt incredibly embarrassed to actually do it, nervously clutching the hem of her school uniform.

Slowly, Su Xun sat down next to that person, and in that instant, she felt as if she had almost snapped her fingers.

After sitting down, I didn't dare to move, wondering how I should start the conversation.

Pei Ke felt a small person suddenly sit down next to him. Unlike Song Lisha's tall figure, he noticed the difference but didn't intend to pay much attention to it. Then he smelled a familiar scent, the scent of a very familiar laundry detergent.

He suddenly turned his head.
