Chapter 153

H City Film and Television Base

It was lunchtime, and the logistics staff were carrying a large cardboard box to distribute boxed meals.

Su Xun also received a portion and took it to a shady spot.

The mid-September sun was scorching, its rays capable of burning a person's skin. The actors hadn't had time to change out of their costumes yet, still wearing thick, ancient-style skirts, while their assistants tried to fan them with small fans, but it didn't do much good.

Su Xun placed his phone on the small table in front of him and started watching a drama.

The drama series that was filmed in the Northwest desert was released during the summer and is currently airing its middle part.

After adjusting the episode number, the first scene featured Xiao Yanxi's handsome face. The desert scene was his most outstanding part, with Xiao Yanxi dressed in a dashing white robe amidst the swirling yellow sand, a delicate sword at his waist, winning over a large number of fans.

Soon it came to the scene of the Feast at Hongmen. Su Xun, dressed in a fiery red dance costume, walked barefoot from the night, the silver bells hanging from her ankles ringing with her movements.

Su Xun's face flushed; this was the first time he had ever seen himself appear in a TV series.

She quickly turned off the live comments to avoid seeing certain comments about her.

Just as my finger was leaving the phone screen, new messages suddenly started popping up in a WeChat group.

A few months ago, she was added to her junior high school class WeChat group. Because it was always quiet, she did not turn off the group messages.

Unexpectedly, the group, which had been inactive for a long time, suddenly had 99+ messages. Su Xun exited the TV series and opened the messages.

The homeroom teacher said, "The 60th anniversary celebration of Rossi Middle School is scheduled for the ninth day of next month. Students can come back to visit their alma mater."

One by one, the students who received the message were drawn out and started replying.

Come to think of it, it's been ten years since I last saw these classmates. I wonder what they've all changed into.

When she joined the group last time, it was quite lively for a while. Several people she interacted with regularly even added each other on WeChat. Zhou Tingting used to be very talkative; it's surprising that she became a journalist, which suits her personality. Pu Xiaochuan opened his own studio, doing interior design; Gan Tang is an international supermodel...

I really want to see my former classmates in person.

Su Xun made up her mind and replied in the group chat.

Then he called Pei Ke.

Pei Ke went to the court this morning and is now back in his car, planning to return to his office.

The phone in his pocket was vibrating. Seeing the contact name, his heart warmed. Su Xun had been with the film crew for a week, too busy with work to go to the film studio.

I want to see her.

"What's wrong?" He suppressed the joy in his heart, but couldn't hide the smile on his lips.

"Did you see the message in the junior high school WeChat group?"

"Haven't checked yet, what happened?" Usually, the group is quiet unless something important is happening.

"The school is having its 60th anniversary celebration, are you going?"

When the school anniversary was mentioned, Pei Ke recalled the email he received a few days ago. The principal wanted to invite him to speak as a representative of that year's outstanding graduates, but he hadn't decided whether to accept.

Before Pei Ke could answer, Su Xun became excited: "I want to go see my old classmates. I haven't seen them for so many years."

Pei Ke smiled and said, "Okay, I'll make the arrangements."

"Yay!"

The two exchanged a few more words before hanging up the phone.

Pei Ke opened her email on her phone and replied to the email that hadn't been answered yet.

"Teacher Su, what's making you so happy?"

Gan Tang was wearing a huge headdress and holding a small mint green fan. On set, Gan Tang called Su Xun "Teacher Su" along with everyone else, so as not to be accused of using their classmate relationship to get more screen time from the scriptwriters.
