Fortunately, Pei Ke didn't give up on her and waited for her to come to him after she had tidied herself up.
How lucky she is to be loved by such a wonderful person.
The street was lined with breakfast stalls, and the aroma of food wafted out from time to time. Su Xun bought some local breakfast specialties and carried them back to the hotel. He figured everyone should be awake by now.
She swiped the door open and stepped inside, only to see Song Xueying still lying on the bed, tossing and turning.
"Senior, I brought you breakfast. You can eat it as soon as you get up."
The hotel only provides accommodation; guests have to find their own food. So I brought some for Song Xueying, who was staying with me.
The person in the bed wasn't asleep; they kept tossing and turning, playing on their phone.
"Okay, you can put it there." She turned over and looked in Su Xun's direction. "By the way, why did it take you so long to get your phone last night? I didn't even know when you got back."
As if she had just thought of something, Song Xueying suddenly sat up and ran her fingers through her hair. "You didn't come home all night yesterday, did you?"
After saying that, he put on an extremely ambiguous expression.
"I got back a little late. You were asleep and didn't notice." Su Xun placed a breakfast on the table, then picked up the rest and walked out.
"Where are you going? To find Pei Ke?" His smile widened.
"I'll take this to him." She said, waving the bag in her hand. The two of them had been outside for a long time last night, and she guessed that Pei Ke probably hadn't gotten up yet.
"Hey, wait a minute." Song Xueying got out of bed, sat on the edge of the bed, crossed her arms, and raised her eyebrows.
"When did you and Pei Ke become so close? First, you came home late, and now you're bringing him breakfast."
"We've always been pretty familiar with each other. Okay, I'm not going to say anything more, I'm going now." After saying that, he left, leaving Song Xueying standing there completely bewildered.
Song Xueying: ?
What do you mean by "we've always been pretty familiar"? Explain yourself before you leave!
Just to satisfy my gossipy nature.
Su Xun easily found Pei Ke's room and knocked on the door.
She waited there for almost two minutes before someone came to open the door.
The person who came was still wearing pajamas, his hair was slightly curled due to the pressure, and there was still a trace of weariness on his face, with a small patch of dark circles under his eyes.
Upon recognizing the person, she flashed a radiant smile, "Pei Ke, I've come to give you..."
The door suddenly slammed shut again, cutting off Su Xun's unfinished words.
Su Xun: ?
Perhaps he's still half asleep.
Pei Ke couldn't sleep after returning home last night, and only managed to drift off to sleep as dawn approached.
Then he heard a knock at the door. Frustrated, he pulled the blanket over his head and noticed that the person sleeping next to him hadn't opened the door. He had no choice but to suppress his displeasure and open the door.
Before he could even see who it was, he recognized Su Xun's voice. Considering his current state, he acted faster than he thought and closed the door.
What a joke! How could Young Master Pei appear before Su Xun in such disheveled state?
He changed his clothes faster than he ever had in his life, ran to the bathroom to wash up, and even checked his face in the mirror to see if there were any signs of him sleeping.
Only after ensuring everything was absolutely safe did they reopen the door.
Very well, a few minutes later he was once again the glamorous young master Pei.
Su Xun looked at Pei Ke, who was completely different from before, and felt even more annoyed.
This person is quite conscious of their image.
"What are you doing here so early?" Pei Ke coughed, his face serious.
"Oh, I bought too much breakfast, so I'll give it to you." She said, holding up the paper bag in her hand to show it to you, and then handed it over.
Pei Ke glanced at the still-steaming paper bag, felt a warmth in his heart, happily took it, and then looked at her.
"Then I'll be going now." Seeing Pei Ke take the bag, she waved and planned to go back and pack her luggage.
"Is that all?" There was a hint of awkwardness in his voice.
Looking into those hopeful, sparkling eyes, she suddenly thought of some furry little animals that also habitually look at people with those wet, watery eyes.
Her heart softened suddenly, and she raised her hand to pat Pei Ke's shoulder. "You can sleep a little longer after you finish eating. I asked the chairman, and we're not heading back until noon."
I just noticed he looked like he hadn't woken up yet, so I told him about my schedule and told him to rest assured.
Watching the figures walk away, the hope in his eyes gradually faded, replaced by a faint disappointment, mixed with a touch of grievance.
He actually wanted to...
What are you thinking about so early in the morning? Aren't you ashamed?
