Chapter 51, the final chapter, arrives at his side.
Jiang Luo went to serve as an official during the May Day holiday, and Jiang Chen didn't go with him because Gu Shiyue would also be there, and he didn't want to be a third wheel for his two older brothers. He spent his May Day holiday with Tian Haoyu; the two of them went on a trip.
This offline event was held outside the province, and the game organizers were providing accommodation and meals; a hotel had already been arranged. On the day of departure, Jiang Luo and Cheng Jiashu agreed to meet at the high-speed rail station. Cheng Jiashu hadn't mentioned bringing anyone along, so Jiang Luo was genuinely surprised to see him and Lin Yu walking towards them from a distance.
"What's going on?" Jiang Luo looked at Lin Yu in surprise. "When did you return to China?"
Lin Yu smiled and said, "Last week."
Lin Yu glanced at Gu Shiyue standing next to Jiang Luo. Their eyes met, they nodded, and greeted each other.
Jiang Luo glanced at Cheng Jiashu: "You're really tight-lipped, aren't you? You didn't say anything."
"What's there to say? His arrival isn't a big deal." Cheng Jiashu said dismissively.
"I was saying you seemed to be in such a good mood the other day."
"Bullshit." Cheng Jiashu glared at him. "I'm in a great mood every day."
The four of them went to queue for ticket inspection. Jiang Luo stood behind Cheng Jiashu and asked him, "Why did Lin Yu suddenly return to China?"
“His grandfather wasn’t feeling well a while ago, so he came back to visit him.”
"How is it now?"
"I'm feeling better now, I've already been discharged from the hospital."
We arrived at the hotel around 4 p.m. Jiang Luo and Cheng Jiashu's rooms were on the same floor, both with twin beds.
The hotel was arranged by the organizer. The front desk helped them check in. When it was Jiang Luo's turn, Gu Shiyue said, "Change us to a double room."
The receptionist looked up at him, then glanced at Jiang Luo next to him, before lowering her eyes and giving a barely perceptible smile: "Okay, please wait a moment."
Gu Shiyue also upgraded the room type to the best suite.
The receptionist was a young woman who smiled and handed the room keys to Jiang Luo and Gu Shiyue after processing their paperwork.
Jiang Luo's ears were noticeably red.
Cheng Jiashu was not about to treat himself badly, so he upgraded his room. He even wanted to book two rooms, wanting to sleep in a double room by himself, but Lin Yu refused.
After getting on the elevator, Cheng Jiashu saw that Jiang Luo's ears were still bright red, and said with a wicked smile, "You and Brother Yue are an old married couple, and you're still so embarrassed to sleep in a double room. You're so thin-skinned."
Jiang Luo tapped his forehead lightly with the room key: "Can you shut your mouth?"
"cannot."
Jiang Luo glanced at Lin Yu and said with a smile, "Let's keep an eye on him."
Lin Yu smiled faintly: "Who can control him? I can't."
"Cheng Jiashu is so annoying." As soon as she entered the room, Jiang Luo clung to Gu Shiyue like a koala.
Gu Shiyue hugged him and gently stroked the back of his neck.
"Are my ears still red?" Jiang Luo asked with a smile.
Actually, he's no longer popular.
Gu Shiyue turned his head and licked his earlobe.
Jiang Luo felt a tingling sensation in her ears, and her whole body felt like it had been electrocuted, with a tingling numbness extending to her lower abdomen.
Jiang Luo's ears, which had just returned to their normal skin color, immediately turned bright red again.
“Red,” Gu Shiyue said.
"If you lick me a few more times, I'll turn completely red," Jiang Luo said with a smile.
Gu Shiyue didn't speak, but instead licked Jiang Luo's ear, from the outer ear to the earlobe. His tongue hooked around Jiang Luo's earlobe, gently teasing that thin, tender flesh.
Jiang Luo trembled slightly, her breathing becoming rapid: "Stop licking... I can't take it anymore."
Gu Shiyue gently bit Jiang Luo's earlobe, his deep voice sending shivers down Jiang Luo's spine: "You've licked everything else, and you can't even handle having your ear licked?"
Jiang Luo blushed instantly. He couldn't bear to hear Gu Shiyue say the word "lick," as it made his scalp tingle reflexively; it was probably another form of mental climax.
It's just that the experience Gu Shiyue gave him that time was too intoxicating and unforgettable.
Gu Shiyue stopped teasing him and carried him to sit down on the edge of the bed.
Jiang Luo straddled him, wrapped her arms around his neck, and looked into his eyes.
"If you lick me a couple more times, I'm going to...do it," Jiang Luo whined.
"Which one?" Gu Shiyue asked.
"Which one are you talking about..." Jiang Luo rubbed against his pants, squinting and biting her lip.
“Then let’s find another place to lick,” Gu Shiyue said calmly.
Jiang Luo couldn't resist and covered his mouth: "Spare me, don't say anymore."
Although Gu Shiyue was a man of few words, he was actually quite outgoing and always expressed himself very directly. Jiang Luo had always considered himself to be fairly thick-skinned, but Gu Shiyue could always say things that left him speechless and unable to defend himself.
Gu Shiyue licked his palm again.
Jiang Luo couldn't take it anymore. He removed his hand, lowered his head, and kissed Gu Shiyue's lips. They embraced and French kissed, their tongues intertwined. Jiang Luo gently bit Gu Shiyue's tongue, then licked it with the tip of his tongue.
Gu Shiyue half-opened his eyes, suddenly pinched his cheeks, and deepened the kiss even more intensely.
They kissed for an unknown amount of time, and Jiang Luo was covered in sweat. He leaned on Gu Shiyue's shoulder, breathing softly, his body weak and burning. Jiang Luo sat on Gu Shiyue's lap...
His own was pressed against Gu Shiyue's lower abdomen, separated by two thin layers of fabric.
"Shall I fix it for you?" Jiang Luo turned her head and asked him softly.
Gu Shiyue shook his head.
They're going out to eat soon, so there's not enough time to do it, and they'll definitely smell bad afterward, and they won't have time to shower.
Jiang Luo nuzzled against him and stated the truth: "But you've gotten so big."
"You know that, yet you still move around." Gu Shiyue pressed down on his lower back.
Jiang Luo chuckled twice: "Then what should we do?" He looked down, reached out and touched Gu Shiyue's abs, his fingers wedged between the two of them.
Gu Shiyue also reached out and slipped his fingers between the other man's, asking, "Hand, or mouth?"
Jiang Luo raised her eyes.
He knew what Gu Shiyue was asking.
Jiang Luo grunted in response, hooking her finger around Gu Shiyue's without saying a word.
"Or do you want both?" Gu Shiyue was already unbuckling his belt.
Jiang Luo grabbed his hand and shook her head, saying, "No, if Da Shu and the others come looking for us later and we're not done yet... that would be awkward."
"Okay. Take your time, it'll be fine in a bit."
Jiang Luo looked at Gu Shiyue and said seriously, "Actually, I want both. Can we reserve them first and then fulfill the request later?"
Gu Shiyue smiled silently: "Okay."
The two of them sat embracing for a while longer, but their tension didn't ease at all.
"It's not very comfortable to hold you like this," Jiang Luo said with a smile. "I feel like you've grown even bigger."
"Hmm." Gu Shiyue casually stroked his waist, not taking it to heart.
"I'll get down to business first and distract myself." Jiang Luo helped Gu Shiyue up by the shoulder and got off him.
"It's so hot here," Jiang Luo said, hanging the cosplay outfit she would wear tomorrow in the closet. "It's much hotter than where we are."
Gu Shiyue pressed the switch by the bedside and turned on the air conditioner.
The wig Jiang Luo was going to use for his cosplay was in a transparent box. He carried the box to the table, opened it, and checked the condition of the wig.
Gu Shiyue walked over, and Jiang Luo was bending over adjusting her wig.
"When did you start cosplaying?" Gu Shiyue suddenly asked him.
Jiang Luo looked up and smiled: "That was a long time ago, back in junior high."
Gu Shiyue took out a tissue and wiped the sweat from Jiang Luo's nose. "Why do you like this?"
"If you ask me for a specific reason, I really can't say. I just feel happy. Emotional value is self-sufficient. I can get satisfaction from it and also make a lot of friends with common topics."
Gu Shiyue nodded, then touched the back of his head and asked, "Do you ever get bored when you're with me?"
This is an objective fact. Jiang Luo likes things like anime, cosplay, and comics, but Gu Shiyue basically doesn't have any contact with them. The two of them don't have any common topics in these areas.
"Of course not." Jiang Luo smiled and kissed him. "You can't tell how happy I am when I'm with you."
"That's good."
Several of the official cosplayers participating in this celebration are friends of Jiang Luo and Cheng Jiashu; they're having a dinner gathering tonight. Those friends are also staying at this hotel. They arrived earlier than Jiang Luo and his group, explored the surrounding area this afternoon, and are now heading to the restaurant.
Some of these cosplayers came to the event alone, while others, like Jiang Luo and Cheng Jiashu, brought "assistants," so there were many new faces among the people at the dinner, including Gu Shiyue and Lin Yu.
When they arrived at the restaurant, Gu Shiyue received a call from his advisor. He found a quiet place to take the call, while Jiang Luo and the other two went to a private room first.
Gu Shiyue's phone call took a long time; he didn't enter the private room until ten minutes later.
Inside the private room, a group of people were chatting animatedly. They were eating a Japanese buffet and sat around a long table. Gu Shiyue's empty seat wasn't noticeable, and no one noticed that there was an empty seat next to Jiang Luo.
When Gu Shiyue opened the sliding door, a group of people all looked towards the doorway, their eyes fixed on his face.
With such a strikingly handsome face, and being an unfamiliar face, it was inevitable that he would attract attention.
Gu Shiyue glanced around, his gaze finally settling on Jiang Luo. Jiang Luo smiled and gestured towards him: "Here."
The group of people all turned to look at Jiang Luo.
Gu Shiyue walked over and sat down next to Jiang Luo, and everyone's eyes followed him, looking at him curiously.
Cheng Jiashu couldn't help but laugh. No one had ever seen this group of people staring at him so uniformly before. A circle of cosplayers sat there, and Gu Shiyue's demeanor clearly indicated he wasn't part of this scene. He was brought by Jiang Luo and had a face resembling a 3D model, so it was no wonder they were looking at him with such curiosity.
"Lolo, is this handsome guy your friend?" someone asked. "Why don't you introduce him?"
Jiang Luo smiled and said, "Not friends."
"Huh?" The man was taken aback.
Jiang Luo readily explained, "They are family members."
Everyone was stunned.
The word "family members" says it all; there's no need to say anything more, everyone understands immediately.
"Wow, your boyfriend?" someone asked with a laugh.
“Yes.” Jiang Luo nodded.
Cheng Jiashu leaned closer and said, "You really don't hide anything at all."
Jiang Luo smiled and said, "Why would I hide such a handsome family member? I can't hide him."
Cheng Jiashu chuckled and looked at Gu Shiyue—he actually saw Gu Shiyue smile, a low and short laugh.
"So Yue-ge can smile," Cheng Jiashu said to Jiang Luo. "Your family members seem to have tricked you into becoming an embryo; they're quite shrewd."
Jiang Luo turned to look at Gu Shiyue and asked with a smile, "Really?"
The family member nodded: "Yes."
Jiang Luo and Cheng Jiashu have to attend a celebration tomorrow, so they need to rest and recharge. After dinner, they didn't go anywhere else to wander around and went back to the hotel early to rest.
The next morning at nine o'clock, the four of them set off for the event. The event was held in a park, and they were supposed to enter at 10:30. When they arrived, the park entrance was already packed with people, some in casual clothes and others dressed as game characters. The place was bustling and lively.
Gu Shiyue and Lin Yu are acting as Jiang Luo and Cheng Jiashu's assistants today. They have work permits and can use the special passage.
The weather is nice today, but it's also really hot; the sun is very strong.
Cheng Jiashu clicked his tongue: "It's really hot here. It's only May and it's already this hot."
"It's getting warmer today, but it'll cool down in a couple of days," Lin Yu said.
"The weather is like a ghost."
Jiang Luo's cosplay outfit was long-sleeved and very thick. Cheng Jiashu turned to look at him and said, "You're going to die of heat today."
Jiang Luo was already sweating a little. He touched his neck and exclaimed, "Ah! I forgot to put on sunscreen!"
"You seem to value your image quite a bit." Cheng Jiashu chuckled. "Don't worry, even if you were thrown into Africa and exposed to the scorching sun for a month, you wouldn't get a tan."
Cheng Jiashu was telling the truth. Jiang Luo has naturally fair skin, the kind that would shine even in a crowd. He would only get tanned, not darkened.
Jiang Luo wasn't afraid of getting a tan, he was afraid of getting sunburned. He hadn't expected the sun to be so strong today before he went out.
Gu Shiyue took a sunscreen out of his bag: "I'll take it."
Jiang Luo glanced at him with some surprise.
Cheng Jiashu raised an eyebrow: "Hey, no wonder someone likes being managed, Brother Yue is definitely a father figure."
Gu Shiyue didn't give the sunscreen to Jiang Luo. Instead, he squeezed some into his own palm and applied it to Jiang Luo's neck, from the back of her neck to her chin, and then from her chin to her Adam's apple. Jiang Luo's Adam's apple wasn't very prominent, and when Gu Shiyue's fingertips gently touched it—Jiang Luo pursed her lips, and her Adam's apple moved up and down slightly.
Gu Shiyue looked up at him.
"What's wrong?" Gu Shiyue asked casually.
"I feel embarrassed."
Gu Shiyue chuckled softly: "Then you can apply it yourself?"
"No, you apply it yourself."
They glanced at the crowd around them, mostly girls, who were whispering and laughing amongst themselves.
Even with Cheng Jiashu's thick skin, he felt a little embarrassed by the scene. Gu Shiyue was just applying sunscreen to Jiang Luo with a blank expression. He coughed lightly, turned his face away, and ended up meeting Lin Yu's gaze.
Why are you looking at me?
Lin Yu raised an eyebrow: "Can't I look?"
"cannot."
"Can I look at them all?"
Cheng Jiashu clicked his tongue, looked away, and didn't bother to get angry. Getting angry wouldn't help anyway; Lin Yu had plenty of ways to soothe him.
In short, the job of official cosplayers is to cosplay as game characters and "stand still" at designated check-in points, somewhat like NPCs. Jiang Luo and Cheng Jiashu were responsible for check-in points in different areas, so they split up after entering the park.
Although there was a long queue outside the park, there weren't many people inside. The streets were filled with staff and other official cosplayers, and Jiang Luo even ran into a few acquaintances.
"You can rest in the tent over there for a while," Jiang Luo said to Gu Shiyue, pointing to the temporary rest area not far away.
"Um."
Gu Shiyue didn't go to the tent to rest; he kept watching Jiang Luo near the checkpoint.
As soon as it was time to enter the park, the number of people inside increased noticeably. Jiang Luo brings his own fanbase; his fans all knew he was there as an official representative, and many people came specifically for him, heading straight to the photo spots upon entering. Of course, it wasn't just fans coming to take photos; gamers were also there.
Jiang Luo has excellent modeling skills and a high degree of accuracy in cosplay. Before long, his photo spot was packed with people, making the area completely crowded.
A group of people were taking pictures with their phones and talking all at once.
"My god, it feels like this cosplayer just put on some foundation and went out. The modeling is amazing."
Who is this cosplayer?
“LoC, ah.”
"She's stunningly beautiful in person."
"Could Luo C take on more official positions to benefit humanity?"
...
Gu Shiyue was pushed to the outer edge. The girl in front of him accidentally stepped on his shoe and turned around to say, "Oh, sorry—"
The girl stared at him for a moment, then blushed slightly and said, "I'm sorry."
Gu Shiyue didn't say anything, slung his backpack over one shoulder, and walked to the side, away from the crowd. The backpack he was carrying belonged to Jiang Luo, and it was covered with plush toys, which was quite incongruous with his cool and aloof demeanor.
The girl stared blankly at his back for two seconds, then turned around and started chatting frantically with her companion.
There were so many people queuing up for photos that Jiang Luo didn't even have a chance to catch his breath. It was hot and sunny today, and he was wearing thick clothes. He had been standing there for more than an hour and was starting to feel dizzy from the heat.
At first, he could still see Gu Shiyue's figure in the crowd, but as his consciousness gradually became hazy, his vision also became a little blurry.
Jiang Luo forced himself to continue operating the business, and to passersby, he appeared perfectly normal.
Gu Shiyue watched Jiang Luo the whole time and noticed that Jiang Luo's expression was off.
He bypassed the line and walked to the front of the line from the other side. The person at the front of the line was about to question him about why he cut in line, but then he looked down and saw his work ID hanging on his bag.
Someone was taking a photo with Jiang Luo. After that person finished taking the photo, Gu Shiyue walked straight towards Jiang Luo.
A sudden commotion broke out in the crowd.
"Holy crap, holy crap, it's that male fan!" Someone recognized Gu Shiyue.
"What? What male fans?"
"That male fan from the last autograph session! The one who was really handsome!"
"Holy crap! It really is!"
"He's not a fan, is he? I feel like he knows LuoC, and he's probably a cosplayer too, right?"
"I'm definitely not a fan. If I said they're a perfect match, I'd get beaten up."
"No, hahaha, I thought they were a perfect match during the last autograph session."
"Wait, what's going on here? Am I about to spread rumors?"
From a passerby's perspective, Gu Shiyue was clearly not there for a photo; he walked directly up to Jiang Luo and looked down at him.
The commotion in the crowd expanded, and even unsuspecting casual players started to stir.
From this angle, it looks like Gu Shiyue is kissing Jiang Luo.
Jiang Luo was a little unsteady on his feet, so he lowered his head and squeezed his eyes shut.
"Are you feeling unwell?" Gu Shiyue's voice rang in my ears.
Jiang Luo raised her head, her lips were a little pale, and her forehead was covered in sweat.
"I...I think I have a bit of heatstroke." He swayed and fell forward.
Gu Shiyue helped him up.
The passersby, unaware of what was happening, finally realized what was going on.
"What the hell happened to Lolo?"
"What's wrong? Is it low blood sugar?"
"Holy crap, is he suffering from heatstroke?"
Gu Shiyue asked the staff patrolling the area to explain the situation to the players in line, and then helped Jiang Luo to the temporary rest room.
Jiang Luo sat on a chair in the rest room. Gu Shiyue unbuttoned his collar, took out a few wet wipes from his bag, and applied them to his neck.
Then Gu Shiyue took out a bottle of electrolyte water from his bag, unscrewed the cap, and handed it to him.
Jiang Luo took a sip and then saw Gu Shiyue take out a small electric fan from his bag and blow it on him.
Jiang Luo regained some of her composure and smiled, "How come you have all sorts of things in your bag?"
Gu Shiyue had thought of everything, so Jiang Luo didn't need to consider anything. It was as if no matter what he did or where he went, Gu Shiyue would always be behind him when he looked back.
This really made Jiang Luo feel incredibly at ease.
"Are you feeling unwell?" Gu Shiyue asked him.
"It's okay, just a little dizzy. I'll feel better after sitting for a while."
Jiang Luo rested for ten minutes before preparing to go back. Gu Shiyue put a cooling patch on the back of his neck and said, "I'll stand next to you in a bit."
"Hmm?" Jiang Luo turned to look at him.
"I'll blow-dry your hair." Gu Shiyue picked up his bag and held the small fan in his hand.
"How can you be so thoughtful?" Jiang Luo said with a smile.
This was a reluctant act of thoughtfulness from Gu Shiyue. He actually wanted to take Jiang Luo away directly, not wanting him to suffer here, but he knew it wouldn't be right. Gu Shiyue raised an eyebrow: "I'm your assistant, isn't it my duty to do these things?"
"No. You're not my assistant." Jiang Luo grabbed his hand. "You're my husband."
Gu Shiyue stared at him.
Jiang Luo shook his hand, saying, "My husband is so considerate."
The family members were then coaxed into becoming embryos.
Jiang Luo returned to her job, now with a handsome assistant by her side.
The number of people in the queue didn't decrease at all; in fact, it increased even more.
That afternoon, a photo of Gu Shiyue and Jiang Luo together once again sparked heated discussions on social media.
Jiang Luo didn't need to stand at the checkpoint all day; he had to participate in the parade at 3 PM. Barrier lines were set up along the parade route to keep tourists away from the procession. Gu Shiyue couldn't stay with Jiang Luo, and there were many people at the scene, so he simply waited for Jiang Luo at the end of the parade.
Everyone in the park went to watch the parade, and all the benches along the roadside were empty. Gu Shiyue found a bench, sat down, and took out his phone to send Jiang Luo his location.
The parade route runs through the entire park, which is not large, and the parade ends in less than an hour.
Gu Shiyue sat on the bench and took out his camera from his bag. He had just taken many photos of Jiang Luo. He opened the photo album and flipped through the pictures one by one until he found the photos he had taken of Jiang Luo when they first met.
Gu Shiyue stared at it for a moment, then gently swiped his thumb across the screen, as if touching Jiang Luo's face through a photograph.
Surrounded by a bustling crowd, Gu Shiyue looked up and spotted a figure in the crowd—Jiang Luo was looking around, searching for another figure.
Gu Shiyue raised his camera, and Jiang Luo's gaze suddenly shifted, stopping in his direction as she looked at him through the lens.
Gu Shiyue pressed the shutter, and the boy in the lens smiled and stepped out of the frozen scene—in the afterglow of the setting sun, he walked through the crowd and came to Gu Shiyue's side.
