Chapter 2: Gradually Falling in Love
Since that dinner, the relationship between Su Yue and Lu Yi has grown stronger. Lu Yi often sends Su Yue messages after work, asking about her recent situation and sharing some interesting stories from his work. Su Yue always responds promptly, and their exchanges are filled with warmth and sweetness.
Preparations for filming the promotional video are in full swing. Su Yue is constantly researching the product and developing creative scripts to achieve the best possible result. Lu Yi also takes time out of his busy schedule to participate in the discussion and offer his own suggestions and ideas.
That day, Su Yue came to Lu Yi's company to discuss the details of the shoot with him again. When she walked into Lu Yi's office, she saw Lu Yi staring intently at the computer screen, his brows slightly furrowed. The sunlight through the window shone on his profile, outlining his resolute features.
"Lu Yi, I'm here." Su Yue said softly.
Lu Yi raised his head and saw Su Yue, a smile immediately appeared on his face. At that moment, it seemed as if all his fatigue had disappeared.
"Come and sit down, I've been waiting for you." Lu Yi stood up and poured a cup of coffee for Su Yue.
The two began to discuss the content of the script. Su Yue elaborated on her ideas in detail, and Lu Yi listened carefully, nodding in agreement from time to time.
"I think this scene can have some more interactive elements to make the audience feel more involved," Su Yue said, pointing to a part of the script.
Lu Yi thought for a moment and said, "Well, your idea is very good, but it may be difficult to implement technically. I will ask the technical department to evaluate it."
Just then, Lu Yi's cell phone suddenly rang. He glanced at the caller ID, his face changed slightly, but he still picked up the phone.
"Hello, Mom..." Lu Yi's voice was a little low.
Seeing this, Su Yue consciously calmed down and silently flipped through the documents in her hand.
Lu Yi said a few simple words and hung up the phone, with a hint of helplessness on his face.
"Family matters?" Su Yue asked with concern.
Lu Yi sighed softly: "My mother is urging me to go on a blind date again, saying that I am not young anymore and it is time to get married."

The two smiled at each other, and the atmosphere became a little subtle.
In the following days, filming officially began. Su Yue displayed her professionalism and unique charm in front of the camera, and Lu Yi watched from the side, full of admiration.
After a day of filming, Lu Yi offered to take Su Yue home. Sitting in the car, Su Yue leaned back in the seat, looking a little tired.
"Thank you for your hard work today." Lu Yi said.
Su Yue smiled and said, "It's not hard. It's all worth it if I can produce good works."
The car was driving on the city streets, and the light from the street lamps shone on the two of them through the car window.
"Actually, I'm very happy working with you during this time." Lu Yi suddenly said.
Su Yue's heart skipped a beat. She turned her head and looked at Lu Yi: "Me too."
The corners of Lu Yi's mouth rose slightly, and his eyes looked ahead intently.
Soon, the car stopped downstairs of Su Yue's house.
"Thank you for bringing me back." Su Yue unbuckled her seat belt.
"Good night, have a good rest." Lu Yi said.
Su Yue got out of the car and just took a few steps before turning back: "Lu Yi, see you tomorrow."
Lu Yi nodded and watched Su Yue's figure disappear in the corridor before driving away.
As the filming progressed smoothly, the relationship between Su Yue and Lu Yi gradually warmed up. They would go out to eat street food together after work, and walk in the park together to chat.
One weekend, Lu Yi asked Su Yue to go on a picnic in the suburbs. Under the blue sky and white clouds, the grass was green. Su Yue was wearing a white long dress, like a little fairy.
"Wow, it's so beautiful here!" Su Yue ran happily on the grass.
Lu Yi looked at her cheerful figure with a happy smile on his face.
They spread out their picnic mats and laid out all sorts of delicious food.
"Try the sandwich I made." Lu Yi handed it to Su Yue.
Su Yue took a bite and said, "Mm, delicious. I didn't expect you to have such a skill."
The two ate and talked, their laughter echoing in the air.
"Su Yue, I find that when I am with you, I am always relaxed and happy." Lu Yi said, looking into Su Yue's eyes.
Su Yue’s face flushed slightly: “Me too.”
Just then, a butterfly flew over and landed on Su Yue's hair. Lu Yi gently reached out and helped her drive the butterfly away. His fingers accidentally touched Su Yue's cheek, and their eyes met. Time seemed to stand still at this moment.
In the evening, the afterglow of the setting sun shone on them, and they walked back hand in hand.
"Su Yue, I think I've fallen in love with you." Lu Yi said with courage.
Su Yue's heartbeat quickened. She raised her head and looked at Lu Yi: "Me too."
From then on, they officially confirmed their relationship. Lu Yi would pick up Su Yue after get off work to go to the movies and go shopping together. Su Yue would also bring him homemade snacks when Lu Yi was tired from work.
However, happy times are always short-lived. Lu Yi's company suddenly faced a major crisis. A competitor launched a similar product and seized the market first. Lu Yi had to devote more time and energy to cope with it, often working overtime until late at night.
Su Yue understood him very well and always supported him silently behind the scenes. However, the long hours of busyness still greatly reduced the time they spent together.
One day, Su Yue prepared a meticulously prepared dinner for Lu Yi, but Lu Yi broke the appointment due to an urgent meeting. Su Yue sat alone at the table, feeling somewhat lost.
