Chapter 29 What's Yours Is Mine

Seeing the rumored patient sitting on the sofa and chatting with his sister, Lu Yin frowned.

He closed the door and looked around the living room.

"The house is such a mess, at least clean it up so it looks like a place where a patient can live."

After grumbling softly, he walked towards Qi Nuan and placed the bag in his hand on the small table in front of her.

Qi Nuan was still angry with him and wanted to fight back against this mysophobia guy.

But she leaned forward slightly to take a look at the contents of the bag, which contained various cold and fever-reducing medicines, as well as two rows of easy-to-swallow nutritional drinks.

Considering that the condolence item was more appropriate than that given to her biological sister, Qi Nuan held back and asked another question: "How did you get the key to my house?"

"What's yours is mine."

Lu Yin answered calmly.

The locks were installed by his people, so it's no surprise that he has a key.

Because his sister was present, Qi Nuan didn't ask any more questions. He just thought that after she recovered from her illness, he would contact a locksmith as soon as possible to replace the electronic lock.

Just as she looked up and wanted to say goodbye to Lu Yin, Qi Nuan saw a big hand reaching out and placing it directly on her forehead.

The slightly cool temperature of his hand made her shiver reflexively, and Lu Yin quickly withdrew his hand.

"There are cooling patches in the bag. Use one during your nap."

He raised his wrist to check the time: "Don't be too tired, get more rest."

After saying that, Lu Yin glanced meaningfully at Qi Meng, who had not dared to say anything. He nodded to Qi Nuan, turned around and walked out the door again.

Although Qi Meng is dull, he is not stupid.

Only after she confirmed that Lu Yin had indeed left did she ask Qi Nuan, "Sister, have I ever offended my brother-in-law? Why does he seem to hate me so much?"

"Think about it carefully. You did something that's hard to deal with, so it's good that I didn't scold you."

Qi Nuan said this to educate her sister, but she guessed in her heart that perhaps it was because Qi Meng had contact with the uncle that Lu Yin regarded as his enemy that she was implicated in the unpleasant things.

She had forced herself to stay awake when Lu Yin came in just now, but now she just wanted to send her sister away quickly and go back to bed to sleep for a while.

Qi Nuan nodded, indicating the file bag Qi Meng had been holding for a while: "What is this? Do you want to show it to me?"

"Yeah, I almost forgot." Qi Meng handed the item over. "Sister, let me be clear, I didn't lie to you. I just received this yesterday. I didn't ask for it out of vanity."

"What?"

Qi Nuan asked as he opened the file bag.

"The lawyer of the deceased old man from the Gu family sent me the real estate information."

The house that Old Man Gu gave to Qi Meng? !

Qi Nuan turned around and looked at her sister. She had a frank expression and raised her hands to show that she was not lying.

Qi Nuan quickly opened the bag, pulled out all the documents inside and checked them one by one.

That’s right, this is indeed a house with clear ownership rights that belongs entirely to Qi Meng.

The address is near the West City High-tech Zone, in a villa area that is very popular among the newly rich.

After reading the document, she carefully looked through the outer packaging that served as a courier bag.

The mailing date was two days ago. Qi Nuan had seen the sender's name when checking the information. He was indeed Gu Tingze's personal lawyer.

Qi Meng has never liked studying since he was a child, and he gets a headache just looking at these documents.

Seeing Qi Nuan had finished looking at everything, she quickly came over and asked, "Sister, you said he's dead, why did you give me a house?"

"It wasn't given posthumously. Look at the date. The transfer was completed more than three months ago."

Qi Nuan looked up and found that her sister was too close, so she quickly pushed her away.

"Don't get too close, you might catch your cold."

"Hehe, sister is always good to me. I came here just to tell you about this house."

Qi Meng didn't have the habit of eating breakfast, and usually had morning tea with Young Master Pei at the Pei family.

It took some time to come to see my sister today. It was almost noon and I was hungry. After asking Qi Nuan to confirm that she didn't want to eat the sweet porridge, she pulled her over, opened the lid and started eating.

Qi Nuan herself doesn't like sweet porridge, but her sister loves it very much. In a short while, she drank the whole bowl of sweet porridge.

"Shouldn't keeping in shape be a basic quality for an actor? You eat so much sweets, aren't you afraid that you'll get fat and no one will find you a job?"

"Hey, no, I'm like my mom. I can eat sweets and never get fat."

Qi Nuan wanted to reply to her: I am like my mother. If we don’t adjust our diet after eating sweets, it will soon show up in the form of weight gain.

But seeing how well the child ate, she thought better of it and swallowed her words.

She took out a row of nutritional drinks from the bag, broke one off and handed it to Qi Meng.

"By the way, do you have any ideas about the secret key to the will I told you about last time?"

"I have no recollection of it at all."

Qi Meng took the drink and took a sip: "Hmm...what a taste, it's unpalatable."

"If you don't want to drink it, just leave it there. Let's get down to business. I'm still feeling bad."

Qi Meng obediently threw the remaining half of the drink into the empty porridge bowl.

"I don't remember Old Man Gu giving me anything so valuable, and this house was completely unexpected. I was thinking of calling that lawyer to ask about the situation, but I called this number several times, and no one answered."

Qi Meng pointed at the phone number on the courier bag and said with regret: "Later, when I called again, the number was completely disconnected. Maybe it was out of battery. It was really depressing."

Taking out his cell phone, Qi Nuan wanted to take a picture of the lawyer's information.

Qi Meng said there was no need to go to such trouble and pushed the bag and the documents into her arms: "I'm not going to live there anyway, so you can use it, sister."
