Standing in front of the fireplace and looking at the blazing flames inside, Qi Nuan's shoulders and backs of his hands began to ache again.
When Lu Yin came over with a glass of red wine, she said coldly, "You imprisoned me in this remote mountain, Boss Lu, do you know which criminal law you have violated?"
Lu Yin looked at Qi Nuan and smiled, then raised his glass and took a sip of the wine.
“Will criminals imprison people like I do and still give the imprisoned people the freedom to move around freely?”
"In the deep mountains where you can't get down without a car, is that considered freedom?"
"If it hadn't snowed, we could have walked on."
Looking at the face in front of him that quickly turned from cold to angry, Lu Yin sighed.
"I suppose we're not having the usual bickering between lovers now, are we?"
He took a step forward and pinched Qi Nuan's chin.
"So, don't make me guess. Tell me, what exactly is it that's making you so upset and upset?"
No image at all?!
Qi Nuan slapped his hand away.
"At least I never lied to you. I gave you the equity documents as soon as I found them. But what about you? You stabbed me in the back so ostentatiously."
"You told me to sort out my thoughts. And what happened? You locked me up in the mountains and isolated me from the world?"
Lu Yin turned his gaze from his opened hand and looked at Qi Nuan.
She couldn't tell what he was thinking from his dark eyes.
She knew that in order to get the stocks given in the inheritance, she had to convince Lu Yin and not let him give up on proving the validity of the will.
But whenever she thought about being betrayed by this man, she couldn't help feeling irritated, angry and depressed.
She felt that only by yelling and beating him up could she relieve her depression and make herself feel better for having trusted him so easily.
Lu Yin was about to say something when he suddenly heard the ringing of his cell phone from inside his coat.
Qi Nuan was stunned.
It seems that there is no signal here, but the signal is blocked for her.
Not knowing who was on the other end of the line, Lu Yin answered the phone briefly and then hung up.
"I have to go back tomorrow. The acquisition of Hongcheng Pharmaceutical is complete."
Qi Nuan leaned sideways and glanced at his face: "So, I have to stay here for another half a year?"
There was sarcasm in her tone.
As long as she is locked up, it will be useless for her to have those equity documents, as they will naturally become invalid when they expire.
"There's another piece of news." Lu Yin also glanced at her, "Gu Hui has withdrawn the lawsuit to authenticate the will."
Qi Nuan's face was full of surprise. She couldn't understand why Gu Hui, who was so determined to hold the controlling stake, would suddenly give up.
When she looked up, she found Lu Yin observing her reaction.
"Since you hate what I do, why not just keep it simple and buy all 30% of the shares?"
Lu Yin drank the red wine in one gulp and smiled at her.
Unlike the fake smile she gave to outsiders, it was a real smile that made Qi Nuan's heart beat faster.
"Aren't these all your sister Qi Meng's?"
"She knows that she has no interest in and is not good at managing these things. I will be the full agent and help her handle everything."
Lu Yin poured another glass of red wine and walked closer to Qi Nuan.
"So, you're going to set up a company, use your sister as a front man, and manage it behind the scenes?"
"So what?"
Qi Nuan glared back.
"Thank you, Mr. Lu, for sending me to such an isolated place. I've been thinking about it for several days."
She snorted softly: "To be honest, protecting me is bullshit. Your real purpose is to worry about me and Gu Hui joining forces, right?"
Lu Yin stood in front of Qi Nuan, looked down into her eyes, and took another sip of red wine.
Seeing him continue to be so nonchalant, Qi Nuan couldn't help but feel annoyed.
"Ha! I actually believed you... Is it really that fun to play people for fools?"
She raised her head and looked straight into Lu Yin's eyes.
"You've never been someone who wanted a serious relationship from the beginning. If you want someone to play house with you, you'd better find someone who is satisfied with your little favors."
"Love? Playing house?" Lu Yin sneered.
"Isn't your biggest worry about not getting those stocks? You never believed me from the beginning, so why are you trying to make it sound so good?"
He moved closer and bent down to get close to Qi Nuan's face.
"If I give you money and you give me stocks, will that really satisfy you?"
Lu Yin stayed close to her and poured a big mouthful of red wine into his mouth.
But because he had a painful wound at the corner of his mouth, some of the wine spilled out and hung on the wound, making it look like the wound was broken and bleeding.
"I don't think so."
He leaned his upper body forward again, feeling very oppressive.
Qi Nuan was a little frightened by his inexplicable anger and took two steps back involuntarily.
"Miss Qi, how far do you want to go to deceive me? Isn't your precious equity document a photocopy? And aren't you trying to extort money from both sides and get double the benefits?"
With a swish, he poured the remaining wine in the glass into the fireplace.
The originally gentle fireworks suddenly shot up into tall flames.
Qi Nuan felt a burning sensation on her back, and subconsciously moved forward, pressing against Lu Yin's chest.
"...You know the copy?"
Lu Yin sneered again, seeming to be speechless about Qi Nuan's shamelessness.
"Ha, yes, it's better than denying it."
He twisted his body away, veins bulging on his arm as he gripped the bottle tightly.
Qi Nuan was even worried that he would crush the glass bottle.
