Chapter 130 It Feels Like a Dream

Chapter 130 It Feels Like a Dream

Dusk is falling.

The silver Audi slowly stopped downstairs of Mu Jia's apartment.

Song Mingxi turned off the engine and turned to look at his silent friend in the passenger seat.

The dim light from the street lamp shone through the car window, casting mottled shadows on Mu Jia's pale profile.

"Jia Jia, are you okay?"

Song Mingxi couldn't help but ask again.

"You haven't said much since you came out of KIC."

Mu Jia finally woke up from her dream and realized that she had been lost in thought for too long. She shook her head and looked at her friend's worried expression. "Nothing, just a little tired."

Song Mingxi insisted on sending her to the door of the apartment.

When she got to the table, she suddenly remembered something and glanced at her watch. "Oh, sorry, Jiajia, I almost forgot." She said to her apologetically, "Tonight, I promised to have dinner with Zhou Xu's mother..."

Mu Jia pursed her lips and said, "It's okay, go ahead."

When she left, she took one more extra look at Song Mingxi and suddenly realized that she had matured a lot during this period of time. Even her dressing style had become more luxurious and elegant.

A bit like...

Bai Yirou.

Song Mingxi stood there, watching his friend swipe his card and enter the elevator.

She turned and left only after the elevator door closed.

Mu Jia stood in the elevator and didn't press the floor button for a long time.

She hugged herself and squatted down slowly. After a long while, she heard the inquiry voice from the control room in the elevator. She raised her hand and pressed the button for the floor she was on.

"bite--"

A crisp prompt sound rang out in the empty corridor.

The elevator door slowly opened.

Mu Jia walked out of the elevator with heavy steps, pushed open the door, and the familiar scent of aromatherapy hit him in the face.

Mu Jia couldn't help but feel a pang of pain in his nose.

She didn't even turn on the light and walked straight to the bedroom. Her bag fell to the ground with a dull thud. Her body fell on the bed like a kite with a broken string. Her cheek sank into the soft duvet and tears fell.

Mu Jia had never envied Song Mingxi as much as he did at this moment.

I envy her for having a simple marriage.

Instead of suffering the pain of love like myself.

But what did she do wrong?

To make Xie Siyan's mother threaten her with her future and career and make her leave her son...

Mu Jia cried herself to sleep on the bed.

She slept for a long time, until the neon lights came on. She took out her cell phone in a daze and found that it showed several missed calls.

All from the same person.

"Hello."

"Finally answering the phone?"

Mu Jia's voice was a little hoarse, but he asked, "What do you want from me?"

"Everything you asked me to do has been done."

"Oh." Mu Jia's voice had a brief nasal sound. "Nothing else, I'm hanging up."

Without waiting for the other party to speak, he hung up the phone first.

Mu Jia cried and cried until she fell into a deep sleep.

I was completely immersed in the fluffy bedding until dusk gradually fell and the whole city was lit up with bright lights.

The neon light, filtering through the curtains, cast changing colors on her face.

I don’t know how much time passed before Mu Jia woke up while groping in the dark.

She felt very dizzy and her eyes were swollen and sore.

Her fingers touched the cold phone screen, and the glaring light made her squint subconsciously.

There were several missed calls displayed on the screen.

All from the same number she was familiar with.

"Hello."

Mu Jia's voice was a little hoarse, and had the nasal sound of someone just waking up.

A chuckle came from the other end of the phone: "Finally you're willing to answer my call?"

The man's deep voice came through the receiver.

With her familiar laziness and a kind of alienated indolence.

Mu Jia supported himself with his arms and sat up, leaning against the head of the bed.

The flickering neon lights outside the window reflected on her pale face, casting her shadow on the white wall. "What do you want from me?"

She asked directly.

"Everything you asked me to do has been done." Hearing Mu Jia's cold voice, Xie Siyan's voice unconsciously lowered two degrees, and the smile from before was no longer there.

In fact, he is not good at coaxing people.

With that figure, Mu Jia probably knew that he was almost at his limit for her.

"Oh." Mu Jia held the phone and responded briefly.

"It's okay, I'm hanging up."

Without waiting for the other party to speak.

She had already pressed the hang-up button and threw the phone aside.

After an unknown amount of time, Mu Jia picked up the phone from the bed.

I found that this time, there were no missed calls on my phone.

She stared at the screen for a while, then simply sat on the bed hugging her knees, looking at the bright lights outside the window.

Time flies and the night grows darker.

The pointer quietly slid past the early morning position.

Mu Jia stood barefoot in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, his fingertips unconsciously stroking the screen of his mobile phone. Finally, he made up his mind and dialed the number that he knew by heart after making a decision.

The phone rang three times before it was slowly connected.

Xie Siyan's low voice came through the receiver, a little hoarse, "It's so late, what's the matter?"

A little distant.

"Are you free to come over?" Mu Jia ignored his emotions and asked softly, with an imperceptible nervousness in his voice.

"Now?" Xie Siyan paused, as if wanting to confirm what she meant.

"Yes." Mu Jia didn't say anything more, but just waited stubbornly for him to answer the question.

There was a brief silence in the room.

There was silence on the other end of the phone for a few seconds, followed by a crisp response: "Wait for me."

Twenty minutes later.

Xie Siyan's sports car was parked in the parking space downstairs of the apartment building.

Mu Jia looked through the window and saw the window of the sports car downstairs was rolled down, and a well-defined arm stretched out with an unlit cigarette between the fingertips.

Half a second later, the phone vibrated.

Mu Jia didn't answer the phone. Instead, he put on his slippers and ran downstairs.

She didn't let him wait too long. She hurried downstairs in her slippers, pressed the elevator button, and in the cool night breeze, as Xie Siyan just opened the car door, she leaned over and threw herself into his arms.

This action was really unexpected.

Xie Siyan realized it later and slowly lifted the girl's waist. The two of them got out of the car. In this position, Mu Jia stood on tiptoe and kissed him on the lips.

The kiss was sudden and passionate.

Xie Siyan was slightly stunned.

But he quickly reacted and turned from passive to active. The two of them had been in a cold war for too long, so long that Xie Siyan had forgotten the last time she was so proactive...

Perhaps, I have never been so proactive.

With his warm palms clasping her slender waist, Xie Siyan pressed her tighter into his arms, taking the initiative and deepening the penetration.

Lips and teeth intertwined.

He tasted the faint scent of lipstick on her lips.

When they separated briefly, both of them were breathing a little disordered. Mu Jia looked up at him, her eyes burning like a cluster of fire, and she looked into his eyes intensely and asked softly:

"Going upstairs?"

There is no reason to refuse.

Xie Siyan's eyes darkened and his Adam's apple rolled.

All the cold war, suspicion, and restraint during this period seemed to be broken by her initiative at this moment. He did not continue to show his interest and hobbies. He said "hmm" softly, put his arm around her, strode towards the elevator, and pressed the button for the next floor.

Mu Jia leaned in his arms, listened to the steady heartbeat in his chest, and closed her eyes.

"What's wrong?" Xie Siyan asked with his eyes lowered.

Mu Jia shook his head and said, "It feels like a dream."
