Chapter 24 Surprise

Su Yinwan turned her head and immediately stopped in her tracks. "Why are you back so early today?"

"I missed you, so I naturally came back." Rong Jing placed his hands over Su Yinwan's hands that were gripping the roulette wheel.

He lowered his head and pressed his chin against Su Yinwan's neck, inhaling the fragrance emanating from her body—the same refreshing scent of gardenias.

The man's restless hands began to roam over her body, making it impossible for Su Yinwan to concentrate on flying the kite.

Seeing the kite slowly descending, Rong Xue'er reminded Su Yinwan, "Sister-in-law, the kite is about to fall."

"Mrs. Rong, be serious." Rong Jing's unrestrained caresses made Su Yinwan's breath catch in her throat.

"Rong Jing, stop fooling around, Xue'er is still here." Su Yinwan forced herself to lift her eyelids and glance at him.

"You fly your kite, I'll do my thing, we won't bother each other." Rong Jing couldn't help but chuckle.

for a long time.

As the sun sets, the last rays of sunlight illuminate Shallow Moon Bay, creating a different kind of scenery.

The dim light shone on the two figures pressed close together, a scene so beautiful that one couldn't bear to disturb them.

When Rong Xueer looked up and saw her loving brother and sister-in-law, the scene gave her a Titanic-like feeling.

She stared at them intently for a while before remembering to take a beautiful photo of them with her phone and then send it to her brother.

It's lunchtime.

Aunt Liu had already prepared dinner and came to the backyard to call them in for dinner.

Rong Jing reluctantly released the person in his arms, and Su Yinwan, as if she had gained freedom, quickly put away the kite.

Rong Xueer stepped forward and took Su Yinwan's hand, saying casually, "Let's go, sister-in-law, I'm so hungry, I'm going to eat a few more bowls of rice tonight."

"Okay, let's go."

The two walked hand in hand, chatting and laughing as they went into the house, completely ignoring Rong Jing behind them.

When Rong Jing heard the notification sound on his phone, he took it out and saw that it was a photo sent by Rong Xue'er.

He clicked on it and was very satisfied with the perfect match between the two people in the photo.

Looking at the photo, the smile on his lips grew wider and wider.

Rong Jing specially saved the photo and set it as his phone's screensaver.

After completing the few simple steps, I slowly walked inside.

However, what Rong Jing didn't know was that this photo would hold extraordinary importance for him for some time to come, just as it was his antidote and his salvation.

——

Two weeks later.

University Avenue.

For example, there was an empty shop next to a flower shop, which was recently bought by a mysterious person.

When the florist heard that the buyer was very generous, he offered three times the price. Upon hearing this, the seller agreed to sell without hesitation.

She was quite looking forward to the arrival of the shop owner next door. She wondered what kind of person he would be, whether he would be easy to get along with, and what kind of shop he planned to open.

This day.

Rong Xueer suggested to Su Yinwan that they go for a stroll on University Road. Su Yinwan, seeing that the plan for the dessert shop was almost finished, readily agreed.

Upon arriving there, Rong Xue'er unusually did not immediately go to eat the food from the roadside stalls.

She led Su Yinwan directly to an empty shop, beaming, "Dang dang dang, sister-in-law, this is a surprise from your brother. He knew you wanted to open a dessert shop, so he chose this prime location and bought it for you. Do you like it?"

“Let’s go in and take a look.” Rong Xue’er didn’t wait for Su Yinwan’s response and eagerly pulled her inside. “Nothing has been set up inside yet, it’s just been renovated and the smell has dissipated. My brother said that you can come and see for yourself and decorate it according to your own style.”

Faced with this unexpected surprise, Su Yinwan didn't know whether to be happy or not.

She originally planned to use her savings of several hundred thousand yuan from before her marriage to buy a small shop.

Unexpectedly, Rong Jing won her over first.

Since it's for her, she shouldn't be polite and should accept it.

Su Yinwan walked slowly inside, scanning the space around. It was large enough that she could even build a semi-circular bar next to the beverage area.

As for seating, she roughly estimated that there could be ten two-person seats and eight four-person seats on the first floor, and four long tables at the far end, which could seat ten people.

Su Yinwan already had a rough plan in mind, and then she climbed the wooden stairs to the second floor.

The second floor is similar to the first floor, except that it lacks the space for drinks and desserts. She seems to have other ideas to fill that empty space.

Fortunately, Su Yinwan had saved an electronic copy of the plan on her phone, so she took it out and looked at it.

I've got it! She can set up a reading corner on the west side, and then add a traditional-style screen.

On the east side, we can put a few Polaroid cameras there. There's a wall there that we can arrange as we like, so guests can take photos freely and then we can put the photos up there.

Su Yinwan looked at the east side and rubbed her chin. She thought for a moment and decided that she could also put out some colorful sticky notes so that guests could write down their wishes or goals.

It's best to put some tables and chairs in the other empty spaces, just like on the first floor.

After careful calculation, it can accommodate six two-person seats and five four-person seats, so there's no need to put the long table on it.

After surveying the entire berth, Su Yinwan now had a preliminary idea for its layout.

She'll go back tonight and refine some details, then buy the materials, and it won't be long before she can open for business.

After Su Yinwan walked down the stairs holding onto the handrail, she found that Rong Xue'er was no longer there. She guessed that the little glutton had probably gone out to find something to eat.

Rong Xueer, while munching on the skewers in her hands, said to the owner with her cheeks puffed out, "Boss, I want a serving of stinky tofu, extra spicy, and a little extra cilantro too."

Rong Xue'er didn't forget to look around and see which restaurant she hadn't eaten at yet.

Turning around, she saw Su Yinwan walking towards her, holding the skewers high in the air. "Sister-in-law, over here, I'm here."

As Su Yinwan slowly walked up to her, the owner had already prepared the stinky tofu. She took it with both hands, and deliberately took two extra skewers.

Rong Xue'er picked up a piece of stinky tofu for Su Yinwan and handed it to her, saying, "Sister-in-law, take a bite. It's so delicious! The sauce is so fragrant and rich, it's amazing!"

Su Yinwan took it and took a bite. The unique juice of the stinky tofu sprayed out of her mouth, smelling delicious.

"Hmm, not bad, that's good. But Xue'er, even if it's delicious, you should eat in moderation and not upset your stomach." Su Yinwan took out a tissue from her bag to wipe her mouth, and didn't forget to wipe Rong Xue'er's mouth as well.

"Hehe, now that you have a shop here, I'll have a reason to come here every day. My mom and the others won't be able to stop me anymore. I love you so much, sister-in-law, you're simply my angel."

Rong Xue'er imagined the days when she could eat delicious food every day, and she couldn't help but swallow her saliva.

"Have you eaten enough? Okay, let's go back now."

"Okay, let's go back."

Rong Xue'er was also very satisfied with her meal today and happily agreed to Su Yinwan's request.
