Chapter 40 Escape from Shallow Moon Bay

Another Monday.

That day, Rong Jing went to a company meeting, and his Maybach finally drove out of Shallow Moon Bay.

Su Yinwan finally seized this opportune moment.

She kept thinking about how to escape.

Finally, on a quiet night, an idea came to me.

Su Yinwan quickly locked the bedroom door and took out several slightly thick sheets from the closet.

She tied the edges of the two sheets together in a knot.

After tying the knot, pull the sheets on both sides to see if they come off.

Fortunately, the knot was tied perfectly.

Su Yinwan put the knotted bed sheet aside and hurried to make a few more.

At this moment, her hands were a little sore and weak, and Su Yinwan had no time to rest.

She picked up a bed sheet and quickly tied it to the foot of the 1.8-meter-long bed, then pulled the sheet to the window.

Su Yinwan looked left and right, then down to make sure no one was there, before quickly throwing the remaining sheets down.

She stepped to the window, gripped the sheet tightly, and slowly fell down.

The second floor wasn't very high, but Su Yinwan's legs were still shaking a bit, and she tried hard not to look down.

And so, she slowly pulled the sheets down, little by little.

"Su Yinwan, what are you doing? Are you out of your mind?"

When Rong Jing drove to the company building, he found that he had left a document in the study.

He turned around and went straight back to Shallow Moon Bay.

Unexpectedly, Su Yinwan pulled this stunt on him.

His heart jumped when he saw Su Yinwan climb down from the second floor without taking any safety precautions.

Su Yinwan was already somewhat frightened, and her hand trembled when she heard Rong Jing's sudden reprimand.

She fell down, "Ahhhhh!"

She closed her eyes and imagined the pain of falling to the ground.

Huh? Why doesn't it hurt at all?

Su Yinwan opened her eyes and was caught by Rong Jing.

At this moment, Rong Jing was kneeling, with one hand around her shoulder and the other around her waist.

Su Yinwan looked at Rong Jing, whose forehead was slightly sweaty, and the man in front of her had a very unpleasant expression.

She also felt that his hands were a little sweaty.

Like a child who has done something wrong, Su Yinwan lowered her head, twisting her fingers to avoid looking at Rong Jing.

Rong Jing carried her in his arms, and Su Yinwan's long black hair fell loose, the ends almost touching the ground.

The man strode into the living room, his shoulder pressing against Su Yinwan's belly.

The slight swaying made Su Yinwan speak intermittently, "Put me down... I, I... feel uncomfortable."

The man didn't stop; he held Su Yinwan's legs with his left hand and raised his right hand to slap her buttocks.

Several "snap" sounds were heard.

"Ah, how could you hit me? Stop it!"

Su Yinwan thrashed about, her hands hovering in the air as she tried to stop him, but she was too dizzy to reach them.

Rong Jing tossed Su Yinwan onto the sofa, sat down, and crossed his legs.

He leaned back on the sofa and leisurely took out a lighter to light a cigarette.

The man smoking didn't speak, just stared at her with his deep eyes.

Su Yinwan could feel the chill emanating from him, and goosebumps rose on her skin.

She smiled casually, "There won't be a next time. It's a good thing you came back, otherwise I don't know if I would have broken my leg."

"If you dare to do it again, I'll break these legs for you," Rong Jing said with a half-smile, his deep eyes filled with a chilling coldness.

Su Yinwan was truly frightened. His expression was like that of Satan, as if he really would drag her into the abyss.

Rong Jing called over Aunt Liu and Lin Jun, repeatedly instructing them to keep a close eye on Su Yinwan and not let her leave Qianyue Bay.

Seeing the two of them in this state, Aunt Liu was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan.

She prayed constantly that the madam, or perhaps the old man, could come to Shallow Moon Bay, and maybe the problem would be solved.

Rong Jing returned to his study and retrieved the documents.

Before leaving, he leaned close to Su Yinwan and whispered in her ear, "Be a good girl and wait for me to get off work at home. Don't have any unrealistic fantasies."

After saying that, he kissed the rosy blush on her cheeks, and only after he was satisfied did he turn and leave.

Well, now they've tried to steal a chicken but lost the rice instead.

Apart from cooking, Aunt Liu spent the rest of her time by Su Yinwan's side.

Lin Jun also guarded the door all day long.

The two of them alone guarded her tightly.

Bored, Su Yinwan walked to the backyard and discovered that the rose seeds she and Rong Xue'er had planted earlier had sprouted.

Seeing this scene, Su Yinwan's depressed mood was somewhat relieved.

Aunt Liu was right beside her, and Su Yinwan couldn't do anything about it. She went to the tool shed to find a spray bottle.

I searched through everything inside, but still couldn't find the spray bottle.

Su Yinwan walked out of the tool shed and looked around.

Wait a minute, she seems to have discovered something. Is it a dog hole? There's an opening hidden by hanging morning glory branches.

The morning glories were blooming so profusely that they almost completely covered the entrance to the hole.

If you don't look closely, no one will notice its existence.

Su Yinwan's eyes lit up, and a smile she couldn't hide appeared on her lips.

She saw hope; indeed, even God was on her side.

Su Yinwan made up an excuse to ask Aunt Liu to go back to the house and get her a light jacket, as she wanted to take a nap here in the afternoon.

Aunt Liu pretended to hesitate, her face showing reluctance.

Su Yinwan smiled and waved her hand, saying innocently, "Aunt Liu, I don't have anything that can help me escape, and looking at the high walls around us, I can't climb over them either."

"Okay, Madam, please wait a moment, I'll go get it right away."
