Chapter 45 The Woman's Fate

"You wretched woman, you can't even do this little thing right, what good are you? You gave birth to such a money-losing brat, she's annoying to look at."

At that moment, a domestic dispute was taking place near Smile.

The burly-looking man raised his fist and punched the woman viciously.

Despite the woman kneeling on the ground, crying and begging for mercy, the man still couldn't stop his fist from falling.

Soon, the woman's face and arms were covered in bruises.

The man seemed to get more and more excited as he fought, each punch becoming harder and more devastating.

He tore the woman's clothes and beat her relentlessly.

The woman was powerless to resist, so she could only squat on the ground, tightly covering her head with her hands, trembling and curled up.

After an unknown amount of time, the man casually picked up the helmet from the electric scooter next to him and threw it at the woman.

With a cry of "Ah!", the woman's head began to bleed.

Blood slowly trickled down her forehead, but the man showed no pity whatsoever.

A little girl of about four years old was standing nearby. She was so frightened by her father hitting her mother that she burst into tears.

Gradually, a crowd gathered, discussing the incident, but no one stepped forward to stop the violence.

Su Yinwan and Sister Yun suddenly saw a group of people gathered outside.

Filled with curiosity, I pushed open the door of Smile and walked outside.

A burly, rugged man was beating a woman who was completely defenseless.

Su Yinwan couldn't stand people like that, so she rushed over and grabbed the man. Sister Yun, worried, followed her.

She grabbed the man's fist as he was about to swing it down, and flung it away forcefully, saying coldly, "Stop it! What kind of skill is it to hit a woman?"

The man looked at Su Yinwan, who had suddenly appeared, and was annoyed by her intervention. He bared his yellow teeth and said irritably, "You little wench, don't meddle in other people's business. This is between my husband and me. Get out of my way."

The man shook off Su Yinwan's hand and stepped forward to continue his punches and kicks.

“This constitutes domestic violence, and I can call the police,” Su Yinwan argued with him.

The abusive man turned around, intending to slap Su Yinwan in anger. Su Yinwan prepared herself to retaliate.

At this moment, two tall and strong passersby stepped forward, each grabbing one of the abusive man's arms, preventing him from doing whatever he wanted.

The abusive man spat and began cursing, hurling insults at the outsiders for interfering.

One by one, some people began to speak out in support of the woman and those who had helped her, saying they would call the police on her behalf.

When the abusive man saw that there were many people around him, he immediately backed down.

He struggled free from the two passersby who were holding him, then hid to the side and spat on the ground.

"Damn it, I'm really unlucky today. You old hag, I'll give you a good beating when we get home."

The abusive man glared menacingly at the woman on the ground, his teeth clenched, before riding away on his electric scooter.

Some girls who couldn't bear to watch took off their coats and went to the woman who had been beaten, pity them, and put their clothes on her.

Seeing the woman's bruised and swollen face and numerous injuries, those around her couldn't help but gasp.

What a despicable man! He's worse than an animal! How could he do such a thing?

The woman who had been beaten struggled to her feet and repeatedly thanked everyone.

She moved weakly to her side and, despite her pain, hugged her daughter.

The little girl was already terrified, her eyes closed and her mouth wide open as she cried incessantly, suffering such misfortune at such a young age.

A passing girl quickly took out candy from her bag to coax the little girl.

Su Yinwan stepped forward, half-squatting down and speaking softly, "Do you need me to take you to the hospital for a check-up? This injury can be used as evidence of domestic violence, and we are all your witnesses."

If you want a divorce, I think we can help you.

The woman's body was still trembling slightly, as if the fear was hard to dissipate.

She had suffered beatings from her husband for a long time and was terrified by his actions.

But she has no source of income. How will she support her daughter if she gets divorced?

If we get divorced, what will happen to the children who will not have a complete family?

The woman was agonizing over her thoughts; she wanted to escape but lacked the courage.

Su Yinwan gently comforted her, "Even if not for yourself, you should at least think about your daughter."

She was so young when she witnessed her father beating her mother; what a profound psychological trauma that must have caused.

It's said that unhappy people spend their entire lives healing from their childhood trauma. Can you bear to watch her life become unhappy?

The woman seemed lost in thought, cupping her daughter's adorable little face in her hands.

If she hadn't come into this world and given her a glimmer of hope, she might have already left this world in despair.

Seeing the seriously injured woman, Su Yinwan couldn't bear to stand idly by and insisted on taking the woman and the little girl to the hospital for a check-up with Sister Yun.

Upon arriving at the hospital, the doctor was appalled by the various injuries on the woman's body: burns, pinch marks, and fist wounds.

The doctor, who has seen many patients who have suffered domestic violence, said he could issue her a diagnostic certificate to determine the extent of her injuries.

After examining the injuries, Su Yin went to the third floor to pay the medical bills and pick up the medicine from the pharmacy.

Because the little girl kept saying she was hungry, everyone found a restaurant nearby to have dinner after leaving the hospital.

After finding an empty table, Su Yinwan took the menu from the waiter and ordered a few light dishes, as well as steamed eggs and shrimp tofu, which are suitable for children.

"Thank you so much for today. I'd like to offer you this cup of tea instead of wine."

The woman poured a cup of tea for Su Yinwan and Sister Yun, and the three of them raised their cups, clinked them together, and drank the tea.

While waiting for the food to be served, the three of them started chatting.

Su Yinwan and Sister Yun then learned that the woman's name was Li Feng, her husband's name was Cui Hai, and her daughter's name was Cui Tingting, nicknamed Xiao Xiao.
