Perhaps because she was too tired last night, Su Yinwan woke up at 10 a.m. the next day.
Grandpa Su didn't ask Aunt Qin to wake her up; he just nodded and smiled.
Seeing that Rong Jing was not on the second floor, she slowly finished washing up and went downstairs.
Rong Jing sat in the living room chatting with Grandpa Su.
The two men heard her coming down the stairs and looked over.
Good morning, Grandpa.
Su Yinwan greeted her with a smile.
"Xiao Wan must be hungry. Your Aunt Qin specially cooked osmanthus-flavored rice balls for you this morning. Go and eat them while they're hot."
"Uh-huh."
Su Yinwan walked to the restaurant, where a bowl full of osmanthus-flavored rice balls was placed on the table.
She sat down, held a spoon in her hand, took a bite, and tasted the chewy, bouncy texture.
The sweet soup is nourishing without being cloyingly sweet, and has a subtle aroma of wine and osmanthus.
Su Yinwan ate her breakfast quietly.
Rong Jing appeared behind her without her noticing.
He pulled out the chair next to her and sat down.
He didn't say anything, just quietly watched her.
Su Yinwan seemed a little uncomfortable, so she changed the subject, "These meatballs are so delicious, would you like a bite?"
"Okay, you feed me."
Rong Jing turned to look at her, patiently waiting for her to feed him.
Su Yinwan scooped up a spoonful of meatballs and held it to his mouth.
Rong Jing took a bite, chewed it slowly, and said seductively.
"It really tastes good, sweet and moist, just like you. I like it very much."
Others might not have realized the hidden meaning in Rong Jing's words, but Su Yinwan understood immediately.
Her ears turned red instantly, and she ignored him.
Despite their close relationship, Su Yinwan still occasionally felt a little shy.
Rong Jing was delighted to see his wife's shy demeanor, but he didn't tease her any further.
After breakfast, Grandpa Su asked Su Yinwan to paint a picture on the spot.
There was also a reason behind it.
Ordinary family background and good looks are just labels for Su Yinwan.
But what's most attractive about her is her inner qualities.
Although Grandpa Su knew that the Rong family treated Xiao Wan very well, he did not want others to only see her beauty, but more importantly, her excellence.
Su Yinwan is capable of being worthy of such a wealthy family.
"Xiao Wan, draw whatever you want, draw whatever you want."
Grandpa Su has always been very confident in his granddaughter's painting skills.
Su Yinwan stood beside the desk, pondered for a moment, and then began to write.
It started as plum blossom branches, sturdy and upright.
The brush tip, dipped in ink, slowly extends from the main stem to the branches.
The strokes are applied layer by layer, yet they appear remarkably natural.
Her smooth and skillful writing style gave Rong Jing a new appreciation for her.
Next, Su Yinwan dipped her brush in light ink and carefully outlined the petals.
Clean the ink with water, then dip the brush in the ink again, gently scrape it dry on the edge of the plate, and continue writing.
Carefully dot the stamen and outline the filaments.
Finally, dip your brush in some carmine to outline the anthers.
One, two, three...
Gradually, a plum blossom appeared on the white paper.
It seems to exude an enticing fragrance, and it looks very realistic.
Looking at it this way, those who don't understand it only praise the painting for its bright and elegant appearance.
In truth, Rong Jing couldn't help but admire this treasure of a wife.
She painted red plum blossoms, which represent peace and happiness.
His brushwork is free and unrestrained, yet his temperament is somewhat elegant and aloof.
Rong Jing had always known that his wife, Rong, could paint.
He knew that Su Yinwan had a background in painting when they did pottery together last time.
But looking at it today, it seems that this wife has a more attractive side, but she is just good at hiding her brilliance.
Thinking of this, Rong Jing felt even more fortunate that she was his wife, and not someone else.
Seeing Rong Jing's undisguised amazement and admiration for Su Yinwan, Old Master Su nodded in satisfaction.
He didn't need to say another word of praise; Rong Jing already understood her.
Two souls that are similar will always understand and rely on each other.
However, this wonderful atmosphere was only temporary.
Then, it was completely disrupted by the uninvited arrival of Zhou Man.
“Dad, An’an came all the way from Chengdu to see you. Look at this child, she’s so filial.”
Behind Zhou Man, dressed in luxurious and opulent attire, followed Su An, who was dressed rather provocatively and alluringly today.
Grandpa Su couldn't bear to look at Su An, who was wearing a black strapless mini-dress, had dyed her hair red with big curly waves, and was wearing black high heels.
He frowned and said coldly, "What kind of behavior is this? Can't a young lady dress more appropriately and elegantly?"
"Grandpa, this is called fashion, you don't understand."
Su An spent half a day painstakingly dressing up, and she was extremely satisfied with the outfit.
However, he was met with a cold response from Grandpa Su, which was somewhat unpleasant.
Grandpa Su is a traditional person, and you shouldn't wear such revealing clothes in front of him, as it would tarnish the family's reputation.
He bypassed Su An and pulled Su Yinwan into the living room.
Su An didn't care that her grandfather disliked her so much.
He had always favored Su Yinwan, while she rarely received his affection, and she had grown accustomed to it.
Anyway, the purpose of today's visit wasn't really to see Grandpa Su.
Seeing Rong Jing follow Grandpa Su into the living room, Su An's eyes lit up.
The man's handsome figure and extraordinary appearance captivated her.
She, Su An, deserves a queen like her.
If it weren't for Old Master Su's favoritism, she might have become Mrs. Rong long ago, instead of Su Yinwan.
