Chapter 156: Framed Again

Just now, the little girl was staying in the house and only vaguely heard someone making noise outside, but she couldn't hear it clearly.

"Xiaoya, why did you come out?"

"I heard some strange noises outside." Seeing a large group of people gathered in front of her house, Xiaoya tugged at Song Qianning's sleeve, her voice soft and velvety with confusion: "Mother, who are they?"

Noticing the innocent look on Xiaoya's face, Song Qianning frowned slightly and subconsciously didn't want her to stay.

Xiao Ya is a good kid now, but a little timid. What if she is affected by these people?

Because she didn't want her child to be influenced by outsiders, Song Qianning said a few nonsense and took her hand, wanting her to go home first.

He coaxed her softly, "Just go back to the room and wait for me. I'll come in to find you when I'm done."

Not knowing what Song Qianning was thinking, the little girl poked her head out from behind her, staring at the woman and others with her big eyes curiously.

Seeing Xiao Ya's appearance, Song Qianning took her hand and wanted to send her back to the yard first.

As he walked, he did not forget to remind her.

The woman next to her was so angry at Song Qianning's sarcasm that she couldn't think of any rebuttal. Plus, there were many people watching nearby, so she had to suppress her anger and curse in her heart.

While cursing inwardly, the woman noticed the little girl who suddenly appeared. Her eyes lit up instantly, with a gleam of light flashing in them.

Before Song Qianning brought the people back to the yard, the woman ran over first, put her hands on her hips, and blocked their way.

After blocking the mother and daughter's way, the woman snorted coldly, her expression full of pride: "Song Qianning, stop right there."

Too lazy to say more, Song Qianning touched the little girl's head, pushed the woman away, and wanted to take the baby inside.

The defenseless woman staggered after being pushed by Song Qianning. She glared at her angrily and ran over fearlessly to stop her again: "Song Qianning, I can see that you let your little bastard go back to the house because you are guilty!"

"Feeling guilty?" Song Qianning finally stopped and put the little girl behind her.

With a sneer, she turned her gaze to the woman: "How come I didn't know when I felt guilty? Could it be that you and I are the same worms in our stomachs? And..."

She took a step forward, a cold glint in her eyes: "If I hear one more dirty word from you, watch your mouth."

Frightened by her appearance, he took a step back. But soon the woman reacted, straightened her chest, ignored the fear in her heart, and resumed her arrogant appearance: "Song Qianning, don't think I can't see it just because you don't admit it."

While being arrogant, he also said to others: "Everyone saw it just now. The two little wild ones in Song Qianning's family...they have rosy and healthy complexions. They don't look like they have chickenpox at all."

"Everyone else's children have chickenpox and are lying in bed unable to move, but Song Qianning's two children are fine, nothing happened to them. I don't believe it if she says it has nothing to do with them."

As if she were saying something extraordinary, the woman raised her nose and said, "It must be because she's a demon. She deliberately gave all our children chickenpox, but hers didn't."

If these words had been spoken at the beginning, the people would have been enraged and would have rushed forward to burn Song Qianning to death without a word, perhaps to avenge their own child.

But after what happened just now, the people's anger had subsided and their rationality had almost returned. Naturally, they would not be provoked by the woman's words.

Therefore, no one dared to step forward, and they just looked at each other without saying a word.

Unexpectedly, the others wouldn't listen to her. The woman's eyes flashed with resentment, and her voice rose considerably: "Do you still want to avenge your child?"

"Song Qianning is a demon. If you let her live, it will be your children who will suffer."

Originally, Song Qianning didn't intend to pay any more attention to the woman, until she heard her next words. The veins on her forehead twitched a few times and she couldn't help rolling her eyes.

Song Qianning was getting impatient and didn't bother to talk nonsense with the woman anymore. She immediately took a step forward and walked straight towards her.

Faced with Song Qianning who suddenly approached her, the woman panicked and wanted to retreat, but because she was too hasty, she failed and almost tripped herself.

"I don't know how you can tell that I'm guilty."

The woman tried to muster up her courage and said arrogantly, "If you have no guilty conscience, why would you let your little brat go back?"

"You must be feeling guilty and afraid that if we see your child doesn't have chickenpox, your evil deeds will be exposed. So you deliberately detained him in there to prevent others from seeing you and to cover up your crimes."

The more she thought about it, the more likely it seemed. The woman looked at Song Qianning with disdain: "I'm telling you, I've already guessed your intentions. It's useless to play dumb in front of me. It's better to admit it sooner so you don't suffer any more."

With a sneer, Song Qianning leaned close to the woman and said word by word, "If I were truly a demon, I would pluck out the tongues of everyone who has displeased me, leaving no one behind. Of course, I wouldn't let go of those gossipy women either."

As he spoke, he looked at the woman's mouth with a meaningful look, and the threat was obvious.

Including the tone of her voice, there was an inexplicable coldness and gloom, especially when her eyes swept over, the woman subconsciously felt her tongue hurt, as if it had been cut off.

Because of the inexplicable fear and the guilt deep in her heart, the woman subconsciously raised her hand and covered her mouth.

A sigh was heard from the crowd, and the whispers became much louder.

Song Qianning's eyes flashed with disdain. She pushed away the woman blocking her way and sent the little girl back to the yard.

He let go of her little hand and warned her, "Little girl, go back to the room and stay here. You can't come out of the room without my permission."

Under Song Qianning's instructions, although the little girl was reluctant to go in, she still nodded obediently and walked into the house.

Only after seeing Xiaoya enter the house did Song Qianning clap her hands, pull the gate shut, and look back at the woman and the others, asking, "Have all the children in your family gotten chickenpox?"

Hearing Song Qianning's question, the others nodded subconsciously: "Yes, the children in several of our families have all had chickenpox."

"Oh, my child has chickenpox and is lying in bed, and the fever won't go away."

After asking a few questions, Song Qianning finally asked, "Do you still remember when your children started to get chickenpox?"

After hearing Song Qianning's words, everyone looked at each other, some of them not understanding what she meant.

After more than ten seconds, someone finally spoke up, looking puzzled: "Why are you asking this?"

"Maybe I can find a way to help your child cure the chickenpox."
