On the other side.
A middle-aged man said, "Sect Master, this tiger seems to be stronger than any of the beasts we've encountered before."
"The sect leader and the two elders are here this time. So what if they're stronger than before? Old Chen, if you're scared, just go back. You won't get any of the tiger's flesh and blood this time," another middle-aged man laughed and said.
"Hmph, I was just telling the sect leader that this time is different. Deacon Liu is overthinking it," the middle-aged man surnamed Chen retorted.
Their sect, Kaishan Sect, places great emphasis on physical strength, and the flesh and blood of these ferocious beasts are highly nutritious.
The sect leader raised his hand and said, "Stop arguing, you two can go and lure that beast out later."
The two men exchanged a glance, quickly agreed, and then, carrying a large bag, tiptoed forward.
After a while, the two returned.
"Sect Master, the items have been placed. That beast will surely be lured out." - The middle-aged man surnamed Chen.
"Yes, we'll focus on stalling until the medicine takes effect. We can't let it run away. If that doesn't work, I'll take the lead, and you and the two elders will distract the enemy from the left and right," the sect leader nodded and said.
"Yes," everyone responded in unison.
Then they spread out and walked quietly forward.
Roar~
Gu Yan heard the tiger's roar from behind and then grabbed Lao Zhou and walked forward.
From a distance, you could see more than a dozen people surrounding a five-meter-tall, striped tiger.
The giant tiger was chewing something in its mouth; upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a human head.
"Proceed according to plan!" the sect leader shouted, assuming a fighting stance with his large staff.
They smashed it directly at the tiger's head, and everyone swung their clubs to attack various parts of the tiger's body.
The tiger appeared enormous, but it was extremely agile. It leaped away from the attack of the sect leader of the Kaishan Sect and attacked the others, even taking two blows to injure two of them.
Roar~
Two sticks suddenly flew out from either side and struck its abdomen, causing it to roar in pain.
"Sect Master, let's hold him back while you attack his vital points," an old man shouted.
It's clear from what I just saw that someone needs to harass it for the sect leader to have a chance.
“Alright,” the sect leader of Kaishan Sect replied.
He swung the large club and shouted, "Sweep away the enemy!"
He swung a stick directly at the tiger's head. Upon seeing this, the crowd either grabbed their sticks and swung them back, or threw their sticks, which struck the giant tiger.
Seeing the situation was bad, the giant tiger pounced on an old man and bit off his head, but it also suffered several rolling marks on its body, with one particularly obvious mark on its back that looked like it had collapsed.
Then a riot broke out.
Hoo hoo~
He lunged at the crowd.
"Get out of the way! This tiger won't be able to jump for long!" the sect leader shouted, then swung his large club at the giant tiger.
Those deacons couldn't stop the giant tiger.
"Ah, Sect Master, save me!" the two cried out in fear.
The tiger's claws pierced right through their chests.
"Ah, beast!" the sect leader shouted, frantically striking the giant tiger.
Today's losses are devastating, and there is even a possibility of total annihilation.
The tiger killed several more people, chewing on a head, and then leaped away.
Only the sect leader, an old man, and five middle-aged deacons remained at the site.
"Why hasn't the medicine taken effect yet?" one of them said, trembling.
"This tiger's strength is almost at the Heavenly Realm level, even if it hasn't reached that level yet. I'm afraid it's no longer effective," the old man said miserably.
Just as he finished speaking, a gust of wind suddenly sounded.
The sect leader of Kaishan Sect suddenly felt a chill run down his spine and shouted, "Get out of the way!"
Nearly a hundred jade nails flew out of the woods in an instant, piercing the bodies of the others, leaving them with bloody holes.
"Who's there? Show yourself!" the sect leader of Kaishan Sect shouted.
This time, the entire army was wiped out.
Gu Yan directly slapped out with a large spiritual handprint.
The sect leader of Kaishan Sect hurriedly blocked one or two of them, but was still sent flying and crashed into a tree.
Then Gu Yan manipulated the jade nails, intending to pierce them into a sieve.
Whoosh whoosh.
A sound rang out, and the burly man, covered in blood, struggled to pick up his large club and swung it around, brandishing the jade nails. He shouted, "You will die a horrible death! I curse you with the souls of all the dead of the Kaishan Sect! Ah~"
Finally, he collapsed to the ground, staring wide-eyed at the young man in front of him.
Gu Yan summoned back the jade nails, which had just been broken into more than twenty pieces.
"Looks like I need to find a weapon quickly," Gu Yan muttered to himself.
Then he took out the soul-summoning banner and shook it. Several souls flew into it, and then he put the corpses into the insect-raising space.
He couldn't wait to see how nutritious these martial artists' corpses were.
Then he called over Old Zhou from behind.
Old Zhou walked over in fear, looking at the scene on the ground, which seemed even more terrifying than a few days ago.
“Come with me, let’s explore the tiger’s den,” Gu Yan said.
Old Zhou followed Gu Yan around like a puppy, determined to cling to this powerful figure.
Then Gu Yan followed the trail of blood and soon came to a cave.
"I never expected there to be caves in the forest. No wonder the tiger was so big," Gu Yan exclaimed.
Then he said to Lao Zhou, "You stay here and keep watch. I'll go in by myself."
"Don't worry, senior, I will definitely not let anyone in, nor will I let the tiger out," Old Zhou said, patting his chest.
Gu Yan then controlled his steps and walked inside.
After walking for nearly forty meters and turning several corners, we saw a tiger lying on a stone platform, panting. There was also a patch of medicinal herbs and a spring nearby.
