0064 Enemy
Recently, Cheng Jing's family introduced him to a blind date, the daughter of the vice mayor. He was not interested in her, but he couldn't go against his family's wishes, so he finally gritted his teeth and met her.
Surprisingly, both parties had a good impression of each other after the meeting, so Cheng Jing decided to let things take their course and see how things went.

A woman with long, straight black hair, wearing a coral pink French-style long dress, stood there smiling at him, her eyes revealing a hint of surprise.
Looking at Cheng Jing standing next to him, Jiang Jifan suddenly uttered a curse.
Everyone present was surprised that the two knew each other, and they all turned their attention to the two of them. However, Jiang Jifan only glanced at her coldly, then looked away and continued upstairs without looking back.
Although Tantai Qing was also a little confused, seeing that she had already passed him and gone upstairs, he could only follow closely.
The atmosphere became inexplicably awkward until Cheng Jing finally spoke up and asked, "You two know each other?"

Xiang Nannan recalled Jiang Jifan's impatient expression earlier and asked with a tactful smile, "Why do I feel like you cousins aren't very close?"
You Qingru smiled gently, her expression composed, and explained, "As the saying goes, a day apart feels like three autumns. Perhaps it's because we haven't seen each other for so long."
Xiang Nannan didn't completely believe her, nodded as if she understood, and then turned around to continue instructing Song Yuchang to carry her luggage.
You Qingru recalled Jiang Jifan's indifferent and unresponsive demeanor as he stood on the stairs, and a barely perceptible hint of contempt flashed across her eyes as she looked down.
"Jifan, do you know Cheng Jing's blind date?" After putting away her luggage, Tantai Qing hesitated for a moment before asking.
"Hmm." Jiang Jifan glanced around at the rooms they would be staying in and gave a nonchalant reply.
He walked over and put his hands on her shoulders, saying with a smile, "I have a feeling you don't really like her."
Jiang Jifan looked up at him, making no attempt to hide her feelings, and said directly, "Yes, I just don't like her."
She disliked it so much that she felt the outing was terrible.
Seeing that he was about to ask her the reason, she quickly said, "I'll tell you when I have a chance."
Xiang Nannan called them downstairs to discuss what to have for lunch. When they got to the first floor, You Qingru came up to her again, smiling and saying, "Jifan, it's been a long time."
Jiang Jifan lazily glanced at her, and replied with a forced smile, "Yes."
Sensing the subtle tension between the two, Xiang Nannan slipped to Tantai Qing's side and quietly asked him, "What's going on?"
Tantai Qing shook her head, indicating that she did not know.
In the ensuing conversation, You Qingru did all the talking, while Jiang Jifan either didn't answer or just gave a perfunctory reply, not even bothering to put on a show.
During the discussion about lunch, You Qingru volunteered, saying that she had just learned how to cook a few new dishes in the past few days and would like to try them if they didn't mind.
Everyone could tell she wanted to show off, so of course no one minded.
While Cheng Jing was helping her, Xiang Nannan sneaked up to Jiang Jifan, glanced at them in the kitchen, and whispered, "Hey, she just said you're her cousin."
"But why do I get the feeling that you don't really like this cousin?" Xiang Nannan started to let her thoughts wander, pretending to hold her hand like a small microphone to her mouth, pressing her for an answer: "Tell me the truth, what exactly is the grudge between the two girls?"
Jiang Jifan was quite amiable towards her, glancing at her with a smile, swatting her hand away, and slowly saying, "It's all ancient history, I can't be bothered to talk about it anymore."
"Shouldn't it be that enemies meeting are especially hostile?" she said, raising an eyebrow in a casual tone.
