0075 Drunk

0075 Drunk

Since drinking and driving is prohibited, Jiang Jifan simply called a designated driver and arrived home late at night.

Tantai Qing knew she had a social engagement tonight and originally wanted to wait for her to come back, but because she was too tired from work all day, she accidentally fell asleep halfway through.

When I woke up to the noise, the room was filled with a strong smell of alcohol.

He sat up in bed and, in the dim light, could vaguely see a figure lying on the sofa.

"Ji Fan?"

Tantai Qing turned on the light and saw her lying on the sofa, wrapped in her clothes, reeking of alcohol. He frowned almost imperceptibly.

"Hmm..." After a long while, Jiang Jifan, lying on the sofa, responded softly with his eyes closed.

Just when he thought she was going to continue sleeping, he saw her prop herself up on the sofa and sit up, covering her face with her hands looking tired, and then looking up at him.

"I took a kid out to dinner tonight. He doesn't drink alcohol, so I drank it for him..." she explained as she stood up, but her legs went weak and she almost fell.

Fortunately, Tantai Qing was quick and caught her firmly in his arms.

Jiang Jifan rested in his arms for a while, and only got up from his arms after her legs regained strength.

"I smell of alcohol on me, I'm going to take a shower first."

"Are you sure you can do it?" Tantai Qing asked worriedly, as Tantai Qing's current condition didn't seem suitable for her to take a bath by herself.

Jiang Jifan said okay, and then pushed him to go to sleep.

He couldn't sleep at all. He said he would go and make her a hangover soup, then fill the bathtub with water and arrange everything before leaving.

However, he still went back to his bedroom halfway through, feeling uneasy.

"Wow!"

Startled by the noise, Tantai Qing quickly opened the bathroom door and saw her wearing a loose bathrobe, her hair dripping wet, kneeling in front of the toilet and vomiting violently.

After she finished vomiting, he quickly washed her face again and then carried her back to bed.

"Where do you feel uncomfortable? Do you still feel nauseous?" Tantai Qing lowered his head and stroked her pale face after her makeup was removed, asking with heartache.

She hadn't drunk this much alcohol in a long time, and coupled with not eating much tonight, it triggered her old ailment.

Jiang Jifan curled up on the bed with a frown on his face and whispered, "My stomach hurts..."

"Drink some water first." She had just vomited for so long, and her mouth must be very bitter, so Tantai Qing poured her a glass of warm water and fed it to her.

Jiang Jifan was thirsty, so he drank the whole cup in one go.

He put the cup down and asked her, "Didn't you eat anything tonight?"

"I ate a little, not much." She clutched her stomach in discomfort, listless and dejected from the pain.

When he said he was going to the hospital, Jiang Jifan immediately refused.

She didn't like going to the hospital and told him it was just her old ailment, and that she would feel better after taking medicine and eating something.

Tantai Qing reluctantly agreed. Recalling the scene in the bathroom just now, he dared not leave. He could only rub her stomach with his hands while making a phone call to order someone to send food over.

While waiting for her food, he helped her dry her hair.

"Thanks."

The residential complex where they live is very private and ordinary people cannot enter, so they have to ask the property management staff to bring the items up.

He closed the door, picked up his things, and went back to his room. Seeing her lying motionless on the bed, he softly called out, "Jifan?"

Jiang Jifan opened his eyes and heard him ask him what he wanted to eat.

"I have no appetite, I don't want to eat..." she said in a muffled voice, pulling the blanket up to cover her head as if trying to escape.

Tantai Qing lifted the blanket, patted her head, and said softly, "You didn't eat much for dinner, and you just threw up so badly. Aren't you hungry?"

In the end, he coaxed her into drinking half a bowl of porridge.

After eating and drinking his fill, Jiang Jifan soon felt sleepy again. He found a comfortable position in his arms, lay down, closed his eyes, and whispered, "I'll never pretend to be cool again."

Tantai Qing didn't understand at first, but later he did. He didn't say anything, but smiled and kissed the top of her head.

He woke up in the middle of the night feeling cold. The person in his arms was nowhere to be found. Tantai Qing didn't even need to open his eyes. With a stretch of his long arm, he easily pulled the woman who was pressed against the edge of the bed back into his arms.

Then he held her close, wrapped tightly in the blanket like a silkworm cocoon, and continued to sleep.
