"Beep...beep..."
Jiang Jifan woke up to a cacophony of machine noise.
A strong smell of disinfectant filled the air. She slowly opened her eyes and saw a clean white ceiling and hooks with disinfectant hanging from them.
Looking around, Jiang Jifan realized he was in a hospital ward. He frowned, wondering how he had ended up in a hospital after waking up.
Just as I was looking for my phone, the door was pushed open.
Someone walked in.
"Whoosh." The bed curtains were pulled open.
"Sister Ji Fan, you're awake." Xu Zhengyan's face lit up with undisguised surprise when he saw her awake.
"Why am I here?" She tried to sit up, but as soon as she raised her upper body, her head started buzzing and she felt dizzy, so she was forced to lie back down.
"Sister Ji Fan, are you alright?" he asked worriedly as he stepped forward.
Jiang Jifan raised his hand to cover his eyes, his voice weak, and murmured, "I feel dizzy."
"Since you're not feeling well, you should lie down." He tucked her in and rang the call button to call the doctor to come and check on her.
Xu Zhengyan said she fainted on the desk in the office and he only found her when he went in to inquire about work.
Except for special reasons, the company does not allow employees to leave their posts during working hours. After being sent to the hospital, Xu Zhengyan volunteered to stay and take care of her. No one objected. After seeing that she was not in any danger, he returned to the company.
"May I come in?" came a knock at the door.
Xu Zheng went to open the door.
"Are you the patient's boyfriend?" A female doctor in a white coat, with a serious expression, asked immediately upon seeing him.
He was taken aback and was about to explain when she interrupted him sharply, saying, "What kind of boyfriend are you? She's pregnant, and you're still making her work so hard!"

Xu Zhengyan helped her sit down on the hospital bed.

After being discharged from the hospital, it was right after get off work. She remembered that her car was still at the company. Fearing that Tantai Qing would become suspicious, she went back to the company to get her car.
"Sister Jifan, be careful on the road."
Jiang Jifan smiled and nodded, sincerely saying, "Thank you for today."
Xu Zhengyan said shyly that it was okay, and then watched her drive away.
Recalling what the doctor said at the hospital today, he sighed, his brow furrowed with worry.
Because of the rush hour, Jiang Jifan was stuck in traffic for another hour. After driving into the community garage, before getting out of the car, he inadvertently saw his pale face in the rearview mirror. He paused for a moment, then took out his lipstick from his bag and applied it.

Tantai Qing couldn't refuse her, so he reluctantly agreed. Then, with a heavy heart, he stayed up all night watching over her, not daring to close his eyes.
