Chapter 14 The Crazy Aunt in the Yard

Chapter 14 The Crazy Aunt in the Yard

Chunhua was so frightened that she immediately knelt down and said, "I dare not!"

Jiang Nanyuan ignored her, walked around her and went straight to the yard.

Without Jiang Nanyuan's order, Chunhua knelt on the ground and didn't dare to get up.

Just watching her walk towards the courtyard, the courtyard door was locked. Chunhua saw Jiang Nanyuan just slashing with her hand.

The lock of the courtyard fell to the ground and she pushed the door open and walked in.

The old wooden door creaked and a foul smell came over, causing Jiang Nanyuan to frown.

What's that smell? It's so stinky. Why does it smell so much like a rotting corpse?

Jiang Nanyuan felt a headache from the smoke, and she held her breath and continued to walk inside.

The yard was overgrown with weeds and the door edge was covered with spider webs. If it weren't for the singing sounds coming from the inner room, Jiang Nanyuan would have thought that no one lived in the yard.

"Who is singing inside?" Jiang Nanyuan didn't want to go any further, so she asked inside.

As soon as she finished speaking, the singing in the inner room stopped.

Jiang Nanyuan thought that the people inside would come out to check after hearing the noise outside, but after waiting outside for a while, there were no footsteps and no one came out.

She became more and more curious about what was going on, and was about to continue walking inside. After she had taken two steps, she heard a woman's giggling voice coming from the inner room again.

Jiang Nanyuan walked quickly forward and came to the door of the house. She saw that the door was also locked. No wonder she couldn't get out.

She kicked the shaky door down with one foot, raising a lot of dust. Fortunately, Jiang Nanyuan had held her breath, so the dust had no effect on her at all.

When the smoke and dust cleared, she gradually saw the scene inside the house. There was a rotting corpse lying on the floor.

And next to the rotting corpse, lay a skeleton.

There was a woman in pink clothes sitting on the bed in the room, but her clothes were dirty and smelly, and the original color of the clothes could not be seen at all.

Jiang Nanyuan was able to recognize it only by looking at the color of her cuffs.

The clothes she was wearing were obviously those worn by the maids in the Marquis's mansion. Could she be a maid in the Marquis's mansion? Didn't Chunhua refer to the crazy concubine?

Why did she lie? Who was this maid?

"Who are you? What's your relationship with the two dead people on the ground? Why are you imprisoned here?"

Jiang Nanyuan stood at the door, and her eyes met the woman's.

The woman sat on the edge of the bed and kept giggling, as if she didn't hear Jiang Nanyuan's question.

Jiang Nanyuan finally noticed that something was wrong with her. It seemed that there was something wrong with her brain. Was she a fool?

Jiang Nanyuan took two steps inside and stopped, gently waving to the woman inside.

"Come out, I'll take you to eat something delicious."

When the woman heard that there was something delicious, her eyes lit up instantly, but she didn't come out directly. Instead, she pointed to the rotten corpse on the ground.

"It's delicious, Madam Zhou. Take Madam Zhou with you."

When Jiang Nanyuan heard her mention Nanny Zhou, her heart skipped a beat.

Isn't Madam Zhou my mother's wet nurse? Could it be that the rotting corpse on the ground is Madam Zhou?

So is this crazy person my mother’s former maid?

No wonder they didn’t bring my mother’s former maid and nanny with them yesterday.

It seems that some of them are going crazy and some are dying.

It seemed that only a maid named Xiaohong was sent back.

"Is your name Baizhi or Dongxia?"

To prove that her guess was correct, she remembered her mother's other two maids, one named Baizhi and the other named Dongxia.

Just as she asked this question, the aunt opposite was obviously stunned for a moment. She raised her head in confusion and glanced at Jiang Nanyuan.

There was a flash of surprise in his eyes, but he quickly returned to his silly look.

"Dongxia, Baizhi, where are you? I'm scared. Don't die. Don't die."

This person spoke crazily, and Jiang Nanyuan didn't know what she meant. She just called Bai Zhi and Dong Xia's names, but it seemed that she was not them. Who was she?

Whose are those bones and corpses on the ground?

What on earth had she been through to be locked up here? No one cared even when she died.

Jiang Nanyuan walked up to her and took her pulse. She must have been too shocked, which led to her madness.

Jiang Nanyuan took two steps back. She turned her head and saw Chunhua still kneeling outside.

There were no secret guards around, so she stepped into the house again.

He took out a silver needle and pricked the woman's head a few times, then gave her a pill. Jiang Nanyuan saw that her eyes gradually became clearer. She looked at Jiang Nanyuan with confusion in her eyes, "Who are you?"

"Ah, Dongxia, Madam Zhou, wuwuwu..."

Hmm? Those on the ground are Madam Zhou and Dongxia? Aren't they the maid and nanny who served my mother? Could it be that the bodies on the ground are theirs?

No wonder the mother wanted someone. They haven’t sent anyone there yet. They only sent Xiaohong. It seems that the others are already dead.

She had spent seven or eight years facing their corpses all day long, and it was already considered lucky that she didn't die with them.

"What is your relationship with Lin Zhixue?"

Jiang Nanyuan's heart skipped a beat. She knew Lin Zhixue? And she knew her maids and servants. She must be related to Lin Zhixue.

"Daughter." Jiang Nanyuan replied lightly.

The person on the bed suddenly became excited, "You are really Mrs. Lin's daughter. Is Mrs. Lin dead?" She heard that Lin Zhixue was dead before she went crazy, but she didn't come back for a long time. Later, she heard that she was dead again, and Nanny Zhou and Dongxia died in front of her.

Unable to bear the stimulation, she finally went crazy.

"Not dead, I'll take you out."

The smell here was really bad, and Jiang Nanyuan couldn't stand it. If the two corpses on the ground were not Lin Zhixue's closest relatives, she would have taken out the corpse-dissolving water to deal with them long ago.

Aunt Chen nodded, stood up and followed Jiang Nanyuan out of the yard. The sunlight outside was dazzling, and she stretched out her hands to block her eyes out of discomfort.

She hasn't left this room for a long time. The room is usually dimly lit and she almost always lies in bed without moving.

Now that she suddenly came out, she was still a little uncomfortable.

Just now in the room, Jiang Nanyuan didn't look at her carefully.

Now that she came out, Jiang Nanyuan realized that she was so thin that her bones were visible.

There was almost no flesh on her body, making her head look big and her body small, as if she could be blown down by the wind.

"Come out with me later and don't pay attention to anyone else. Just follow me and I will protect you."

Jiang Nanyuan whispered a reminder and walked out of the yard first.

"Miss, why did you bring this crazy concubine out here? What if the Marquis reprimands us?"

Jiang Nanyuan didn't reply, but glanced over coldly, "Go find someone to deal with the bodies inside and find a good place to bury them.

Don't play any tricks on me. If I find out that you don't do what I say, I will sell you to a brothel as a prostitute.

Your indenture is in my hands."
