Chapter 145 Let's Go See the Stars
While Jiang Luo was decorating her new room, she received a message from He Ziyan saying that he was still in a meeting and would be late.
He Ziyan is a workaholic. It seems that he is always working, except when he is with Jiang Luo. Sometimes, he will even be working while he is with her.
Previously, when Jiang Luo got up to drink water in the middle of the night at the Heartbeat House, she would always see that the light in He Ziyan's room was on.
A small light, quiet yet persistent.
YB Company is in a phase of rapid development, with a whole host of problems such as business expansion and technology upgrades, all waiting for He Ziyan's confirmation and approval. On top of that, there's the variety show recording, so he's like a washing machine roller, constantly busy.
Thinking of this, Jiang Luo couldn't help but sigh, wondering if He Ziyan could handle it.
Out of concern for He Ziyan, her voice carried a hint of dejection, "Not yet, it will be a long time."
That pitiful little tone.
Tao Le exclaimed "Oh!" in an exaggerated way.
Jiang Luo looked at her, puzzled. She blinked and gave a sly smile, like a little fox. "It seems that President He has already informed you!"
Jiang Luo: "..."
They've fallen into a trap.
Jiang Luo shut up; she couldn't say any more.
This world is full of tricks!
When it was time to eat, all the guests except He Ziyan had arrived.
Everyone clinked glasses, chatting and laughing merrily. Whether their feelings were genuine or not, in front of the camera, they all looked like close friends.
The camera lens acts like a filter, covering everyone's every move.
At eight o'clock, the pleasant dinner time came to an end, and everyone gradually left the table.
Qin Ning took over the task of washing the dishes, and Jiang Luo joined him.
In fact, Jiang Luo's motives for staying to wash the dishes were not pure. It was not only to serve everyone, but also to find a suitable reason to stay on the first floor.
That way, she can see and welcome He Ziyan as soon as he returns.
Unfortunately, they didn't see He Ziyan until they had finished washing all the dishes.
"You've wiped that table three times already." Qin Ning set out the bowls and chopsticks, then turned around to see Jiang Luo lingering by the wooden table.
Having been found out, Jiang Luo laughed awkwardly, "Ah? Maybe the wooden table looked dirty, so I couldn't help wiping it a few more times. It's okay, you can go back to your room when you're done. I'll finish up."
"Okay," Qin Ning said wearily, rubbing her neck and twisting it from side to side. "I went to audition this afternoon, I'm so tired, I'll go back and rest now. Sister Luo Luo, you should rest early too."
"Okay. I'll go upstairs as soon as I'm done. You can go ahead." Jiang Luo continued to pretend to be busy.
The rooms on the first floor were full of mosquitoes, so the boys took the initiative to choose a few rooms on the first floor, leaving the rooms on the second floor for the girls and He Ziyan who was late.
After wiping the table, Jiang Luo spread out the rag and sat on the sofa for a while.
There was no TV on the first floor of the guesthouse, so she could only scroll through her phone for a while out of boredom.
At 10:20, after yawning for the nth time, she finally got up and went upstairs.
As she stepped onto the creaking wooden stairs, she sighed inwardly once more.
I really want to see He Ziyan right away.
She didn't want to wait any longer.
For so long, her heart felt like it was filled with a balloon, and every time He Ziyan did something for her, it was like inflating the balloon.
Time and again, the gas slowly and steadily poured in, almost causing her balloon to burst.
*Smack*
Turn off the bathroom faucet, and the sound of running water stops.
After changing into her pajamas, Jiang Luo dried her wet hair and walked to the window.
The screen window was opened, and a fresh, warm breeze blew in from the mountains and forests. As far as the eye could see, there was a verdant green hidden in the darkness, majestic and magnificent, stretching to the horizon.
Those twinkling stars, seemingly about to fall, dotted the brocade-like sky. The vast galaxy reminded one of diamonds scattered in an advertisement, dazzling and sparkling, yet one felt that this kind of beauty could never be matched by diamonds.
Just then, the sound of a car driving by came from afar.
The tires rumbled over the small pebbles, and looking in the direction of the sound, two beams of light shone from a distant intersection, reflecting the starry sky and heading straight towards their guesthouse.
As the night deepened and the dew grew heavy, the only one who could have arrived, weary from the journey, was He Ziyan.
Overjoyed, Jiang Luo held both ends of the towel, a smile instantly spreading across her lips. She turned and quickly opened the door to go downstairs.
I walked through the long corridor, down the wooden stairs, jogged across the living room, and stopped in the light in front of the door, craning my neck to wait.
As soon as He Ziyan got out of the driver's seat, he saw the person he had been longing for.
The light surrounded her, making her look like a lighthouse at sea.
After a full day of meetings about the promotion and later development of the new product, He Ziyan was feeling dizzy and lightheaded. But the thought of seeing Jiang Luo made him feel refreshed, as if he had been washed by a summer waterfall.
He closed the car door and strode away swiftly with his long legs.
Jiang Luo was in a hurry and wanted to get there faster, so he arrived in front of her in no time.
"Let me speak first," Jiang Luo said impatiently before He Ziyan could even open his mouth.
A hint of surprise and confusion flashed across He Ziyan's face.
Jiang Luo smiled, her eyes sparkling. A towel was draped around her neck, and she wore a cotton pajama set with a cute bear print. "I..." she began, pausing.
My heart pounded with excitement, and the water dripping from my hair soaked my clothes.
Almost the instant the sound was uttered, He Ziyan sensed her thoughts.
He was inexplicably certain of what she was going to say.
"Luo Luo, wait a minute," He Ziyan interrupted.
Jiang Luo was dumbfounded.
Her burgeoning emotions were abruptly halted, leaving her momentarily bewildered.
"W-what's wrong?"
He Ziyan pursed his lips, his voice soft, his eyes clear and bright, "Luo Luo, let me take you to see the stars."
"Now?" Jiang Luo blinked.
"Um."
He Ziyan smiled at her, his eyes crinkling with a smile as gentle as the mountain breeze.
“I’ll take you to see the stars, and then… we can chat slowly,” He Ziyan said again.
The last three words were pronounced carefully, as if they had a hidden meaning, but Jiang Luo's mind was already filled with surging joy and excitement, leaving her no time to think further.
"Okay! Let's go!" Jiang Luo quickly stepped down the stairs.
He Ziyan grasped her wrist. "Luo Luo," he said with a hint of helplessness, "change your clothes."
Looking down, Jiang Luo realized she was still wearing her pajamas, and quickly turned around. "Wait for me! Give me the time it takes to sing a song!"
After saying that, she ran wildly into the house, rushed up to the second floor, changed her clothes in her room, and then ran back down.
He Ziyan had already taken the luggage to the living room and didn't bother to take it into the room, so he just neatly placed it in the corner for the time being.
Seeing Jiang Luo rushing over, He Ziyan couldn't help but reach out to catch her, afraid that she wouldn't be able to stop and would rush out of the house.
The moment their arms were extended, all the cameras suddenly turned and focused on them.
Jiang Luo was feeling quite carefree. She naturally took his arm, then let go, looked at him with a bright smile, and asked in a sweet, soft voice, "Ziyan, where are we going?"
Like a lively cat, soft and obedient, making you want to hug and rub it as soon as you see it.
"Come with me."
