Chapter 17 Luo Luo
Ji Bei turned off the machine, followed behind, and asked uncertainly, "Why are you acting strange?"
He Ziyan looked listless, his shoulders slightly shrugged, his hands in his pockets, and he said softly, "Take me home."
Finally, I'm going home.
Ji Bei strongly agreed: "I also think you need to go home and rest. Are you still immersed in that virtual world and can't get out? Son, open your eyes and look carefully, this is the real world! It's 2023 now!"
Without turning around, He Ziyan silently stretched out his leg.
"Ah! He Ziyan, you bastard..."
Caught off guard, Ji Bei stumbled and nearly fell to the ground, struggling to stay upright with his hands as if paddling.
With his superior height, He Ziyan glanced at him and sneered, "Son, don't mess up the seniority."
This is the He Ziyan of the past.
He has an innocent, puppy-like face, but he does cunning things.
Ji Bei jumped up and put his arm around his shoulder.
The two continued forward until they disappeared at the end of the corridor.
-
The He family.
He Ziyan entered the house first and stood in front of the door to change his shoes.
Ji Bei was still outside the door, leaning against the doorframe, rambling on: "You don't need to rush back to the company, get some sleep first. Let me tell you, I've really gone to great lengths for you, I got you a super nice job. I was thinking if you didn't wake up, I'd have to go by myself, but you woke up right at this time, tsk, what a coincidence! Next week..."
"Bang!"
After changing his shoes, He Ziyan slammed the door shut without any hesitation.
The heavy steel armor door perfectly isolated all noise, including Ji Bei's cursing.
I stopped and looked around.
This is his home.
The interior is decorated in sophisticated black, white, and gray tones, with a minimalist aesthetic, somewhat resembling the original cottage.
There was no fluffy carpet in the living room.
There are no colorful modern paintings on the white walls.
There were no vibrant green plants on the balcony either.
None of the things Luo Luo likes are available here.
Empty and desolate.
Luo Luo.
Upon entering the study, He Ziyan sat down at the computer and opened the homepage of [Luo Luo Luo Luo on Jiang Shang].
The first post received numerous comments.
Thank you, ma'am. You are such a kind person.
[Waaah, so sweet!]
I'm allowing my wife to have Yan Zihe all to herself for one day!
...
Luo Luo didn't reply.
Outside of gaming, she doesn't seem to have much enthusiasm.
Luo Luo.
Leaning back in his chair, He Ziyan stared at the screen, lost in thought.

Conference Room 1, Jinyu Film & Television.
"Thank you all, teachers. You've all worked hard." After expressing her gratitude, Jiang Luo stepped down from the stage.
She has finished her audition.
The director and producer in the first row were whispering and discussing something, without responding.
The casting director said goodbye to her: "Luo Luo, you've worked hard too. We'll contact Xiao Lin when we have the results, and I'll also let Lily know."
"Okay. Thank you." Jiang Luo bowed.
She went through many auditions.
I thought that once she became famous, she would be able to choose the scripts she liked more freely.
Unexpectedly, the so-called red was just a fleeting moment; before the color was even seen, it became transparent again.
Sigh, after eight years of acting, I'm still just a nobody.
"What's going on? Why haven't they arrived yet?" the director suddenly shouted.
Jiang Luo was walking towards the entrance of the corridor when she was startled by the sound and stopped in her tracks.
Most of the people inside remained silent, too terrified to say a word.
The casting director gave Jiang Luo a wink, signaling her to go ahead.
Jiang Luo nodded and continued walking towards the back door.
"Teacher Xu is here..."
"Hello, Teacher Xu."
"Please have a seat, Teacher Xu."
...
As the call of "Teacher Xu" suddenly rang out, Jiang Luo stopped and turned around.
An actress walked in through the doorway.
She was of medium height and rather thin, with a youthful appearance, fair skin, a small face, and a pair of round eyes that almost took up half of her face. She had a delicate nose, cherry lips, and bright, expressive eyes, making her look as exquisite as a character straight out of a comic book.
Xu Jingyan, another female lead in "Twin Lotus".
After Jiang Luo was unfairly maligned and missed out on the Golden Magnolia Award, Xu Jingyan successfully won the trophy, becoming the newly crowned Best Actress, and everyone respectfully called her "Teacher Xu".
"Brother Zhang, I'm sorry, I came straight here as soon as I got off the plane. I didn't expect to get stuck in traffic. Were you waiting anxiously?" Xu Jingyan went straight to the director after entering.
Director Zhang is highly capable, but he also has a strong temper. In the industry, he is the type that everyone fears yet is eager to work with.
Xu Jingyan knew how to weigh things carefully; her eyes flickered, revealing her innocence.
This apology effectively elevated Director Zhang to the highest position in the room, which Director Zhang greatly appreciated.
A stark contrast to his earlier outburst, Director Zhang spoke much more gently: "You've come at the perfect time. Your makeup looks great today, so let's get started."
"Okay." Xu Jingyan didn't say much, took off her coat and handed it to her assistant, then stepped directly onto the main stage.
Jiang Luo took a few steps, found a corner, and waited to observe.
Xu Jingyan debuted as a child star and has a very talented acting skill, especially her eyes, which can express a variety of emotions with just a blink.
Jiang Luo felt admiration and affection for her, as well as a sense of kinship as kindred spirits.
"...I'm sorry, I...I didn't mean to. Let's not see each other again..."
"...You've never loved me, you've always loved yourself..."
"...What? How could this happen..."
...
Watching Xu Jingyan act is a pleasure.
After enjoying herself, Jiang Luo smiled slightly, her eyes crinkling with laughter, and then left.
Behind her, Xu Jingyan chatted briefly with the director and producer.
After leaving the conference room, Jiang Luo sat on the sofa in the common area.
The phone screen displayed a message from Xiaolin: "I'm being held back. They're talking about a new project with me. I'll stall you a little longer. Wait a moment, I'll call you when I'm done."
Jiang Luo replied patiently: 【Okay, no rush.】
Returning to the main page, my gaze fell on "Love in the Apocalypse," and I was about to click on it.
"Jiang Luo." It was Xu Jingyan.
Jiang Luo stood up awkwardly.
Xu Jingyan smiled broadly, "Long time no see. I saw you here... waiting for someone? How about I treat you to a coffee, an unsweetened Australian white? Would you do me the honor?"
Jiang Luo nodded obediently.
Xu Jingyan still remembered her preferences.
Holding the warm paper cups, the two went to the small rooftop terrace extending from the third floor.
The sun was indeed warm, but the wind was truly biting cold.
As soon as she stepped outside, Xu Jingyan felt a chill run down her spine.
Jiang Luo asked worriedly, "Why don't we go inside?"
"Too many people, too much gossip." Xu Jingyan narrowed her eyes slightly. "There are no good people in the entertainment industry."
Jiang Luo didn't know what to say.
The Xu Jingyan in front of her is very different from the impression of the general public.
In the public eye, Xu Jingyan is a pure and innocent girl, beautiful, naive, and unaware of the ways of the world.
But in front of Jiang Luo, Xu Jingyan always maintained an air of profound understanding of life and a deep, enigmatic demeanor.
"I saw you as soon as I came in." Xu Jingyan's nose was red from the cold, and her hair fluttered, which added to her charm.
Jiang Luo wasn't cold at all because she was wearing a thick down jacket, wrapped from top to bottom like a chopstick wrapped in tape.
“I saw you too,” she said.
Xu Jingyan chuckled softly.
