Chapter 90 Exit
Jiang Luo sighed helplessly, "How did you ruin your future..."
That's not as exaggerated as it sounds.
"Director Li hopes you'll leave the dating reality show and focus on acting." Lin Heng gazed at her, slowly and forcefully uttering these words.
Director Li is the director of "The Time That Never Fades".
"Never Let July Go" is the drama in which she replaced Luo Nan.
Jiang Luo was stunned.
After a long pause, she asked hesitantly, "But... does Sister Lily agree?"
Seeing through her thoughts at a glance—she simply wanted external forces to make the decision for her—Lin Heng coldly replied, "Sister Lily agrees. You've fulfilled your responsibilities and successfully generated buzz for this variety show. She thinks you did a great job, plus, there are other people coming for He Ziyan."
Jiang Luo looked up and asked cautiously, "Who...who are these other people?"
"This is none of your business."
Jiang Luo stared forlornly at the ground.
Seeing her distraught appearance, Lin Heng frowned slightly, but couldn't help feeling sorry for her. He softened his tone and said, "I talked to Sister Lily about wanting to get off the show, and she understood. However, considering that He Ziyan is still around, if your storyline is to end badly, the show hopes that you will be the one to end it."
After a long pause, Jiang Luo finally asked, "What do you mean?"
"A new guest will be joining us today. Lily hopes you'll show him your affection and send him a text message expressing your feelings. Then, when you get out of the car, He Ziyan can naturally begin a new storyline."
Jiang Luo understood each word individually, but when put together, she felt only confusion.
"Does He Ziyan agree?" Jiang Luo asked unwillingly.
No, He Ziyan probably doesn't know about this at all.
He didn't mention it at all when the two of them spent time together yesterday.
Lin Heng: "Luo Luo, you can't control others, you can only control yourself. If you want to stay and continue filming the dating reality show, 'Never Let July Down' will definitely not consider you anymore."
After a moment of silence, Jiang Luo asked, "When should we make a decision?"
"You must give me an answer by tomorrow at the latest," Lin Heng declared forcefully.
Jiang Luo replied again, "Okay."
“Luo Luo,” Lin Heng sighed, reaching out to grab Jiang Luo’s hand, “I’m doing this all for your own good.”
Jiang Luo resisted the urge to pull her hand away and said softly, "Yes, I know."
Lin Heng could have managed better artists and earned more money, but he still chose Jiang Luo.
Is Jiang Luo really exceptionally talented?
Those were all jokes.
What Lin Heng initially chose her for is no longer important; what matters is that Lin Heng has never abandoned her. He is loyal and responsible towards her.
From Lin Heng's perspective, this matter is naturally heartbreaking and frustrating.
but……
Jiang Luo was confused; acting was her job.
Since when has work become synonymous with the entirety of life?
-
Inside the car.
The cell phone rang.
He Ziyan took out his phone and saw it was Ji Bei.
“I have something to tell you,” Ji Bei said seriously. “Lily just called me.”
"What?"
"She said that Jiang Luo was going to leave the variety show, and then she wanted to arrange a new CP for you, and asked if you were interested."
"Jiang Luo is leaving the variety show?" He Ziyan asked in surprise.
Ji Bei gasped: "You don't know?"
"Hmm." The voice suddenly turned cold.
After a pause, Ji Bei asked, "Then...you should talk to her first? Maybe it was a decision made by the agent that she doesn't know about yet."
He Ziyan's face turned ashen. "Hmm." He continued, "If she withdraws, then there's no point in me staying any longer."
Ji Bei: "I understand what you're saying."
After hanging up the phone, He Ziyan turned his head to look out the window.
Luo Luo... what are you really thinking?

cabin.
In the living room, Shi Yan and Qin Ning were watching TV; it was the talent show where Qin Ning debuted.
In the kitchen, Tao Le and Xi He were making lunch. The two stood side by side, close to each other, leaving no space for anyone else.
A scene of joy and harmony.
Hearing footsteps, Shi Yan turned her head to look and saw Jiang Luo, but she didn't walk over as enthusiastically as usual.
It was rather awkward.
She stood still, unsure whether to go forward or retreat.
She felt guilty for not being able to help Jiang Luo wholeheartedly in Lin Shuang's matter.
Jiang Luo, however, had no grudge.
She never takes it for granted that others should help her, not even her friends.
If you have fewer unrealistic expectations, you won't be disappointed.
Looking around but not finding any familiar faces, Jiang Luo asked Shi Yan, "Am I the last one?"
"Seriously?" Qin Ning stood up, hands on her hips. "You come here looking for Ziyan? Are we really that insignificant?"
Jiang Luo: ...Is it that obvious? I asked it very subtly, okay?
Shi Yan frowned and glared at Qin Ning, chiming in, "Why would she ask such a question?"
"Oh, I must have misheard you," Qin Ning admitted defeat, offering a way out.
Jiang Luo: ...
After a moment of silence, she feigned nonchalance, "So... He Ziyan hasn't arrived yet?"
Qin Ning chuckled.
Shi Yansheng felt utterly hopeless.
Love-struck, hopeless.
After glancing at the two of them, Jiang Luo decided not to talk to them for the time being. She swung her arm and walked towards the kitchen, saying, "I'll go say hello to Tao Le and the others first, and then I'll come and watch this... variety show with you guys."
"My moment of glory is about to begin! I'm pausing it so you can watch it with me!" Qin Ning exclaimed.
Jiang Luo: ...No need for that.
Seeing that Jiang Luo's attitude remained unchanged, Shi Yan happily followed, "I'll go with you."
"Huh? Oh, okay." Jiang Luo said, puzzled.
It's just a few steps away.
It's something that can be resolved in thirty seconds at most.
Shi Yan came up and took her arm, and she smiled warmly.
The two headed towards the kitchen.
Watching their intimate backs as they walked away, Qin Ning muttered to herself: "Shi Yan's reaction to Jiang Luo is like that of a cheating husband meeting his wife. It's very strange."
Thirty seconds later.
Jiang Luo, Shi Yan, and Qin Ning sat together on the sofa.
"I still remember this performance vividly. It was so touching. Every time I watch it, I feel like crying. We practiced for 20 hours every day for those few days. We would dance as soon as we opened our eyes and go back to the dormitory to sleep..."
Qin Ning's ramblings were like prayer beads, rolling by and going in one ear and out the other.
Jiang Luo glanced out the floor-to-ceiling glass window from time to time. The parking lot in front was empty except for the production crew's car.
Where is He Ziyan?
Why haven't they arrived yet?
Didn't they all depart at the same time?
Did they go back to the office to handle work?
Did you try to get an invitation to Lin Wan's birthday party?
It should be the latter.
Her thoughts drifted away, and Jiang Luo propped her chin up, turning her body completely to the other side. "Sigh."
"Right? I feel sad too." Hearing Jiang Luo's sigh, Qin Ning chimed in with her own sentiments, then realized that Jiang Luo wasn't even looking at the TV screen! "Sister Luo Luo, what are you thinking about?"
“I…” Jiang Luo suddenly sat up, like a student caught daydreaming in class, “I’m listening to you.”
Qin Ning shook her head. "No, you don't."
Unable to contain herself any longer, Shi Yan asked directly, "Why hasn't President He arrived yet?"
“Yes, that’s right.” Jiang Luo excitedly agreed, as if she had found a kindred spirit.
"You've got what you've got!" Qin Ning jumped up.
The remaining two people turned their heads to look at each other.
A black car slowly drove up and stopped at the entrance.
