Chapter 63 You have so many friends.

Chapter 63 You have so many friends.

He Ziyan didn't move, he was looking at her with a half-smile, arms crossed.

"What's wrong?" Jiang Luo asked, puzzled.

He Ziyan suddenly took a step closer.

The distance between the two suddenly shortened.

Jiang Luoxin was startled, her eyes widened, and she stared at him blankly.

"You have so many friends," He Ziyan complimented ambiguously.

Jiang Luo was speechless.

This was the first time she had ever heard someone praise her for having many friends.

But... why does that tone sound so sarcastic?

"I……"

"Smack."

He Ziyan flicked Jiang Luo on the forehead with lightning speed.

Jiang Luo: ?

It didn't hurt much, but the sudden attack made her very angry.

"He Ziyan, what are you doing?" Jiang Luo questioned.

In that instant, her anger surged to the top of her head, and she even forgot that there were security cameras in the corridor.

He Ziyan still had that smug expression, cold and arrogant, "Just kidding."

That's really honest of them.

"You!" Jiang Luo exclaimed angrily, "I'm two years older than you!"

After a pause of one second, He Ziyan chuckled, "Then... my sister won't be angry with me, right?"

Jiang Luo: ...You really know how to take advantage of your age.

Sizzle.

The anger subsided, leaving only wisps of smoke.

"Go to sleep early." With that, He Ziyan turned and left.

"Bang." The door slammed shut.

Jiang Luo gritted her teeth.

She was even disappointed that He Ziyan was leaving! Poor little brother, the sooner the better!

Back in her room, Jiang Luo grumbled as she washed up and changed into her pajamas.

She lay back down on the bed and tossed and turned.

Sleepiness has vanished, and my mind is a jumbled mess.

I wondered if He Ziyan was really going to leave.

I wondered if they would lose contact after He Ziyan left.

Then she thought, He Ziyan is so annoying, let him go.

Sometimes I wonder if Tao Le and Xi He actually have feelings for each other.

Suddenly, she sat up and got out of bed.

Her thoughts were in turmoil, so she decided to take a sip of water to calm down.

It was quiet outside, and the nightlights in the living and dining room were on.

After drinking the water, Jiang Luo walked to the corner and suddenly heard a buzzing sound.

It was dull, heavy, and subtle.

It sounded like it was coming from a corner.

Following the sound, she slowly explored forward and eventually determined that the source of the sound was in the home theater.

Standing at the doorway, she turned her head and glanced at the clock hanging on the wall at the end of the corridor.

The current time is 12:27, early morning.

There are still people watching movies at this hour?

Could it be that she and Shi Yan forgot to turn it off?!

Push the door open quickly.

"ah!"

Unexpectedly, a person was sitting in the center of the room.

Jiang Luo and he were both startled.

Patting her pounding chest, Jiang Luo suddenly laughed, "Qin Ning, why are you still up so late?"

Qin Ning looked at her, but didn't smile. Her face was unpleasant, and she said in a dull voice, "I'm not in a good mood."

As expected, it was still affected by the ranking.

Jiang Luo walked in.

The home theater had a sliding door. She casually slid it open, leaving a small gap. Too lazy to fix it, she sat down next to Qin Ning.

She said, "If you need, I can talk to you."

An old movie was playing on the screen. Jiang Luo had never seen it before and wasn't interested in it.

She sized up Qin Ning.

Qin Ning hugged her knees, resting her chin on them, looking pitiful like a young animal licking its wounds.

He turned his head to the side and asked softly, "Do you also find me annoying?"

Only then did Jiang Luo notice that the corners of his eyes were slightly red, perhaps from crying.

“You’re lively and cheerful, not annoying,” Jiang Luo comforted her. “Why did you use the word ‘also’? Did you get criticized by netizens?”

"Um, I..."

Are you watching a movie?

The door to the audiovisual room slid open with a whoosh, and He Ziyan stood in the doorway, looking at them indifferently.

Overwhelmed by a sense of oppression, Jiang Luo felt inexplicably guilty.

She said, "We couldn't sleep, so we were just chatting. Did we disturb you? We'll keep our voices down."

He Ziyan just stood there, like a towering telephone pole.

Jiang Luo looked up at him.

The cold white light from the rooftop shone down, making He Ziyan's expressionless face appear even more pronounced.

He didn't say anything.

Jiang Luo figured he wouldn't join in on such mortal chatter, so she simply said, "And please close the door for me, okay?"

He Ziyan did as instructed.

However, he locked himself in as well.

Jiang Luo: ...

So... I still want to find out about the lives of ordinary people?

The media room was designed for couples' dates, and the central circular area is not large.

Jiang Luo and Qin Ning sat inside, with a small space between them. If they squeezed in, three people could barely sit there, but it was impossible for them to walk in freely and then sit down naturally.

After a brief deliberation, He Ziyan chose to sit on the first floor.

His legs were too long, so he had to curl up, looking like a quail caught in the rain, shivering and even more pitiful than Qin Ning.

Jiang Luo sighed and beckoned, "Come down."

As she spoke, she moved to the side and sat on the steps, making room for He Ziyan.

He Ziyan immediately beamed with joy.

He sat down in the spot where Jiang Luo had just sat, and could still feel her lingering warmth.

"Thank you." He smiled and raised his eyebrows at her.

Jiang Luo responded.

After settling down, He Ziyan turned to Qin Ning and asked, "Are you unhappy about the ranking?"

Jiang Luo was quite surprised.

She originally thought that He Ziyan didn't understand social etiquette and wouldn't comprehend such petty thoughts of ordinary people.

I never expected that he knew all of this.

"You noticed?" Qin Ning said with a wry smile.

He Ziyan nodded.

Qin Ning rested her head on her knees and turned her face to look at him: "If it were you, what would you do?"

“If it were me…” He Ziyan hesitated for a moment, then answered after careful consideration: “I would analyze why this situation occurred, what the desired result is, and what attempts I can make to achieve that result.”

Jiang Luo: It looks like a robot.

After listening, Qin Ning forced a smile that looked more like a grimace and asked again, "Is it easy for you to do anything?"

"No." The answer was firm and resolute.

He Ziyan continued, “Nothing is easy. You think it’s easy for me to do some things, probably because I knew what I wanted early on and worked hard for it. You focus on my gains and ignore my efforts. For example, you can see YB’s leap forward now, but you can’t see the efforts I’ve made since I first came into contact with computers.”

This was the first time Jiang Luo had heard He Ziyan reason with her.

Strangely, she didn't find it annoying at all.

When He Ziyan spoke reasonably, his inherent coldness melted away, and he became more like an ordinary older brother, speaking earnestly yet miraculously avoiding any sense of preaching.

He was simply sharing his life experiences with others.

No one needs to imitate it.

Why is He Ziyan so good in every way?

"When did you start planning to start a technology company?" Qin Ning asked curiously.

He Ziyan: "Seven years old."

Qin Ning: ...Are you telling me that I need to work hard for eighteen years from now to succeed?

Jiang Luo: ...Are you in Versailles?

"Your example doesn't seem to comfort me," Qin Ning said softly. She then asked, "Is there anything you've wanted to do recently but haven't been able to?"

Upon hearing this, He Ziyan turned to look at Jiang Luo.
