Chapter 173 Half-human, half-snake

Underground, a winding tunnel appeared out of nowhere. The deeper one went, the colder it became, as if a giant, icy hand was dragging one into a lake in the dead of winter.

In the darkness, the sound of scales rubbing against the ground suddenly rang out, and then a huge black shadow passed through the passageway.

A light appeared at the end of the passageway, silvery-white, and the chilling aura grew even stronger.

It slowly raised its head, its eerie green snake eyes catching sight of the pools of blood outside the light. Its pupils contracted slightly, and it swayed its body as it quickly entered the ice chamber.

The ice room was very spacious, more than forty square meters, but at this moment it was in a mess.

The ice bed was smashed to pieces by a heavy object, and shards of ice flew everywhere, including onto the two demons hanging in mid-air.

The two demons were bound together like two dumplings by the demon-locking rope, their hands and feet curled up together, hanging in the air and spinning around. Their mouths were also stuffed with a tattered rag, and saliva dripped down from the corners of their mouths. When they saw the black snake, they immediately made "uh uh" sounds to call for help.

The black snake spun around and landed, transforming into a bewitching woman who was half human and half snake.

Her skin was as white as snow in the northern frontier, her beautiful eyes were full of affection, she had a high nose, cherry lips, and a tiny black mole at the corner of her mouth, which added to her charm.

She raised her hand, and the black jade bracelet on her fair wrist flashed with a dark light, a wisp of black mist like silk shooting straight towards the two demons.

The demon-locking rope was struck, hissing as if burned, and then turned into two wisps of green smoke that drifted away. The two demons also fell to the ground with two thuds.

The rat demon with shifty eyes rolled on the ground, clutching its thigh and groaning in pain. The other demon, dressed in Xiao Jianfeng's skin, contorted its expression for a moment, then propped itself up on its arms, a very incongruous twist flashing across its handsome face.

The black snake demon glanced impatiently at the rat demon and said coldly, "Enough! What's going on here? Where are the people I asked you to bring?"

The rat demon trembled in fright and dared not roll any further. It just whimpered and huddled in the corner, hugging its legs and wiping away tears.

Xiao Jianfeng glanced at him contemptuously, cursing him under his breath as a coward. He then looked away, straightened his clothes, and stepped forward.

"We had already brought Nan Xian to the ice chamber and watched her lose consciousness, but for some reason, she suddenly woke up and became extremely powerful; none of us were a match for her. However, she seemed to be holding back on something and didn't try to kill us, but..."

Hearing the hesitation in his voice, the black snake demon narrowed her beautiful eyes dangerously. "But what?"

Xiao Jianfeng lowered his eyes slightly, avoiding her gaze, and said:

She said, "Tell your master that the true God has returned, and how dare the false gods act so presumptuously?"

As the last word faded, the ice chamber fell into complete silence.

This time, the rat demon didn't dare to whimper. It silently transformed back into its original form—a small, dark mouse hugging its long tail and huddled in a corner, cautiously observing the black snake demon's expression.

Upon hearing this, a chilling killing intent flashed across the black snake demon's beautiful face. Her eyes darted between black and green, and her lips parted to reveal two sharp fangs.

"Nan Xian—you bastard, Nan Xian—"

Her anger was hard to quell, and the boiling demon blood caused the spiritual energy in her body to surge continuously, almost bursting her dantian. She flicked her tongue, narrowed her eyes and glanced at the trembling rat demon in the corner, and slowly curled her lips into a bloodthirsty arc.

The rat demon was startled, knowing that it was about to be in great danger. It squeaked and tried to run away, but was pulled back by a huge force.

He turned around in astonishment, only to be met with a gigantic snake head with its mouth wide open...
