Chapter 333

Linghu Sheng floated in the air, his eyes were bloodshot, his long robe fluttered without wind, and he was surrounded by ominous black mist.

Huo Shaoying's expression changed drastically when she saw the mist: "Demonic energy—Linghu Sheng, how dare you secretly learn demonic arts!"

Linghu Sheng laughed maniacally, his lips splayed out in an exaggerated grin, and said, "Orthodox and evil arts, aren't they all judged by you hypocrites! Today I've killed you, killed your bastard master, and from now on, what is righteous and what is evil will be decided by me!"

Without waiting for Huo Shaoying's reaction, he raised his hand and slashed at the window of the private room with his knife.

The walls collapsed with a crash, and a fierce gust of wind rushed into the room, instantly leaving the floor in a mess. The guards, who had just managed to stand up, were blown down again.

Despite being protected by magical artifacts, Huo Shaoying was still blown backward repeatedly. She barely managed to steady herself and was about to retaliate when she suddenly caught a glimpse of Nan Xian lying motionless on the floor not far away, while the wardrobe above her head was swaying precariously.

Her expression changed, and without thinking, she instinctively took out her protective magic artifact and threw it over.

The magical artifact landed beside Nan Xian and activated automatically, raising a pale golden dome that enveloped her entirely.

The next second, the wardrobe fell over and landed squarely on the protective shield.

However, in that moment of distraction, Huo Shaoying lost her best chance to retaliate. Linghu Sheng appeared in front of her in an instant, turning his blade into a knife and stabbing it towards her chest.

In a flash, Huo Shaoying raised her arm to block the fatal blow. She gritted her teeth and endured the excruciating pain. With her other intact hand, she grabbed in the air and immediately produced a packet of powder, which she then threw at Linghu Sheng's face.

Linghu Sheng was caught off guard and hit squarely by the powder, his vision immediately blurring. He cursed "despicable scoundrel" and retreated while trying to use a cleansing spell to remove the powder.

Seeing this, several guards took the opportunity to attack from behind. However, Linghu Sheng was protected by demonic energy, and even with their combined efforts, they could only cut his long robe a few times without harming him in the slightest.

Everyone was shocked—what kind of evil magic was it that was as powerful as an invincible shield or iron shirt?

Linghu Sheng had regained his sight by then. He saw the guards surrounding him warily, glanced down at his torn clothes, and sneered.

"Truly—ignorant of one's own limitations!"

He let out a low roar, and his demonic energy surged, the mist transforming into long black spikes that shot out in all directions.

The guards were no match for him. The unlucky ones were pierced through the chest by the long spikes and died on the spot. Those who were lucky enough to avoid being hit in a vital spot suffered even more. The demonic energy in the long spikes entered their bodies through the wounds and immediately tried to take over their bodies. The "native" spiritual energy in their bodies was naturally unwilling to accept this. The two completely opposite energies fought and struggled in their bodies. The guards rolled on the ground in pain and howled in agony.

“A bunch of ants…” Linghu Sheng chuckled as he approached Huo Shaoying step by step.

Huo Shaoying looked at the guards who had lost their fighting ability, and her heart sank. She knew that if she were to face Linghu Sheng, who was protected by demonic energy, with her own strength, it would be like an egg hitting a rock.

The array in this private room was extremely tricky, unlike anything she had ever seen before, and she certainly couldn't unravel it in a short time...

She closed her eyes, clutching her injured and bleeding arm as she stepped forward.

“Linghu Sheng, let’s make a deal. You want to win, right? I’ll help you take the leader’s position, and you—”

Before she could finish speaking, Linghu Sheng grabbed her by the neck.

He used all his strength, grabbing her and lifting her up. Huo Shaoying's face turned red. She tried to stand on tiptoe and pry his hands off with her hands, her fingernails scratching bloody marks on the back of his hands.

"A deal? What right do you have to talk to me about a deal? Heh, go talk to the King of Hell—" Linghu Sheng remained motionless as if he felt no pain. He grinned as he looked her over, watching her struggle to open her mouth wide to breathe. Her face turned from red to bluish-purple, and veins bulged on her forehead. Her struggles grew weaker and weaker.

Just then—

"Um?"

A drowsy female voice came from the side.

Then came a gasp:

"Holy crap! Where's my hair?!"
