Chapter 1 Winning the Lottery, Space Appears

(This is a fictional story about traveling through time and space. My dears, please keep your brains here first~)

November 2023.

At two o'clock in the morning, Lian Xiaomin woke up from her dream in a sweat, her heart pounding fast and she felt uncomfortable.

She slowly sat up and leaned against the head of the bed, taking a deep breath, feeling uneasy, perhaps because the dream she just had was really disturbing.

She actually dreamed of the end of the world and being chased by zombies. In the dream, she was holding a machete and slashing left and right, looking quite brave.

After waking up, she wiped her sweat and wondered what the hell was going on.

Maybe it’s because of work pressure? Not really… Have you watched too much of the American TV series “The Walking Dead”?

I haven't watched it recently, it's been a long time.

Well, it’s probably because of the work pressure, but she doesn’t believe it herself. After all, she is a lazy person who likes to enjoy life.

33-year-old Lian Xiaomin works at the management center of Victoria Harbour, the largest logistics port in Shanghai. Her job is the security director here.

Lian Xiaomin graduated from the Public Security University in Kyoto and won the national Sanda championship at the college sports meeting when he was 20 years old.

Later, she worked in the high-tech security industry. Three years ago, she was recruited to Haishi with a high salary to work here.

Victoria Harbour is the largest logistics and freight port in the country, with huge volumes of cargo imported and exported by sea every day.

In addition, there are 180 super-large rented storage warehouses, which supply shipments to several of the largest e-commerce platforms in the country, including 80 cold chain warehouses.

Lian Xiaomin is a bit introverted. Her living environment has made her very independent. She lives a casual life and loves freedom.

In her spare time, she insists on practicing Sanda to maintain her skills, and she also feels that exercise is the most healing way for her to relieve stress.

Despite her outstanding appearance, Lian Xiaomin has always been single. She has no special ideas, just living casually and freely.

Her director's office is on the 8th floor of the Victoria Harbour Staff Building, which has a lounge. Since her workplace is far from the city, she simply lives here often.

Lian Xiaomin is on night shift this week. Although goods are still unloaded at night, there are dedicated people in charge of the dock and warehouse.

After waking up from the nightmare, she calmed herself down, stood up and walked to her desk.

The computer was still on at this time, and she suddenly remembered that tonight was the lottery draw date for the lottery she bought the day before yesterday.

Early that morning, she came out of her rented house in the city and walked to the bus stop 200 meters away from her home, intending to take the bus to work at the Victoria Harbour Pier, far away from the city.

There is a newly opened lottery shop at the shuttle bus stop, the name of the shop is “Lianliancai”.

It was the name of the store that attracted her to look over there, hoping to have a good start for the new day. So, while waiting for the bus, Lian Xiaomin somehow went into the lottery store and bought 20 lottery tickets, spending a total of 40 yuan, with the numbers drawn randomly.

In fact, she herself didn't believe that any good luck would happen to someone like her.

She always feels that she has to rely on her own efforts to get what she wants.

As for buying lottery tickets, maybe it’s because I’m too bored, so I just buy them for fun.

Lian Xiaomin grew up with her grandmother. Her parents divorced early and never cared about her. They always lived away from home, but they had no problem financially. She was good at studying and had a lot of freedom since she was a child. She also learned Sanda.

Later, the year she graduated from college, her grandmother passed away, and she has lived alone ever since.

Every step of progress and achievement she made, even her rapid growth and salary increase in the industry, were all achieved through her own hard work.

Just like she learned Sanda when she was young, it requires courage and tenacity. Therefore, perhaps she has a fighting spirit in her bones.

Lian Xiaomin was still casually clicking the mouse to open the page with welfare lottery draw information.

Suddenly, she stared at the computer monitor with eyes wide open, reading the string of numbers from the Double Color Ball in disbelief...

Oh my god, I won the jackpot! Lian Xiaomin was instantly overjoyed. Did Lian Xiaomin catch up with this instant wealth? !

If this is possible, who would be willing to be a workhorse? It took off directly.

Lian Xiaomin felt that her breathing was not smooth, and her arms were shaking as they were resting on the computer desk.

The lottery ticket lay quietly on the table. She slapped the small piece of thin paper a few times, took a deep breath, and shouted "ah ah ah" a few times. Anyway, she was the only one on the eighth floor of the building at this time!

The other staff on duty were all working on the fourth floor and couldn't hear it.

After about ten minutes of excitement, Lian Xiaomin's nervous and excited nerves finally relaxed a little. She reached out and picked up the water cup, intending to drink some water and calm down.

However, my hand shook and the small glass accidentally fell to the ground.

Oh, what a mistake she made in such a hurry. She was dizzy and reached out to pick up the fragments. In an instant, the tip of her finger was cut by the glass, and blood splashed onto the ebony bracelet on her wrist that her grandmother left her.

Something unexpected happened...the blood drop disappeared, as if it was absorbed by the bracelet.

Suddenly, she felt dizzy and weightless, wondering what was going on? Was she dizzy from the excitement of the lottery? But when she opened her eyes again, she found herself in a magical space.

This was a simple warehouse compound with high walls three or four meters high. In front of her were three wooden houses that looked like warehouses.

Lian Xiaomin looked down and found that her finger was no longer bleeding, but the bracelet had disappeared, and there was a faint round mark on her wrist.

She was a little dazed, trying hard to control herself and digest the shock.
