1156 The Second Young Master Gu who can only pretend to be a grandson even if he is angry to death

Gu Xinglang wiped the sweat off his face. He was dirty all over now, with blood, mud and sweat mixed together. His clothes barely covered his body. Through the wounds tied with branches, Gu Xinglang could see the muscles and bones on his legs. Without the skin covering it, the blood was so profuse that Gu Xinglang felt nauseous after looking at it for a long time.

Stimulated by the smell of blood, the poisonous insects became restless.

Gu Xinglang simply released the poisonous insects, covering the wound densely, and used his own flesh and blood to feed these insects that he wanted to ignore but could not ignore.

The mountain people searched the dense forest carefully again, but failed to find Gu Xinglang. Then the mountain person who was injured and retreated from the Xiangguan Iron Cavalry, took his two companions and went down the mountain to Wangxiangguan to report the news.

Gu Xinglang hid in the tree and waited until it was dark and the wound on his leg healed before he came down from the tree.

It soon began to rain in the mountains. Gu Xinglang drank a few sips of rainwater and then washed his face with it. The villagers didn't notice it, but Young Master Gu noticed that there were no birds flying in the forest where he was, and even the sound of insects could not be heard. These small animals in the mountains were hiding from him.

On the afternoon of the second day, Young Master Gu met three mountain villagers. When he heard them say that they saw Gu Xinglang in the mountains, Young Master Gu, who had just returned to his hometown a few days ago, almost jumped up from his chair.

“However, we were incompetent and let him run away,” the young mountain man apologized to Master Gu.

Young Master Gu opened his mouth several times before finally cursing, "This bastard!"

"His leg was broken," another mountaineer told Gu Ershao, "We thought it was impossible for him to run out of the forest."

"Broken leg?" After a while, Second Young Master Gu asked in a dry voice.

The three mountain people nodded together. Even the servants standing in the hall felt that the second young master was angry because he failed to catch Gu Xinglang.

"Is anyone injured?" asked the Second Young Master Gu.

The three villagers all shook their heads again. One of them said to Young Master Gu, "From my perspective, he looks like he's seriously ill."

Another mountain man echoed his companion and said, "Second Young Master, even if such an unfaithful and unfilial person can escape, God will take action to punish him."

The flesh on Gu Ershao's cheeks was bitten, but the words that came out of his mouth were: "This bastard can escape for a while, but he can't escape forever. Thank you for your hard work. Go down and claim your reward."

The three mountain people knelt down together to thank Master Gu for the reward.

Young Master Gu tried his best to put on a pleasant expression and asked the steward of the Marshal's Mansion to take the three people away.

After the butler and the three mountain people left, the second young master Gu stood up and walked quickly around the hall a few times. He turned around and kicked a chair and broke it.

When the servants saw the Second Young Master Gu like this, they dared not even breathe.

"You," Young Master Gu pointed to one of his guards and said, "Go find General Cheng and ask him to bring a group of men to search the mountain for me. Make sure you catch that bastard!"

The guard didn't even dare to raise his head. He just answered yes and ran out.

Young Master Gu slowly sat back down on the chair behind him, hoping that his younger brother could leave the forest as soon as possible.

The housekeeper gave the three mountain folks some money and asked them to lead the three out of the house. He turned around and went back to the hall, where he saw the servants were all standing outside the door.

"The Second Young Master asked us all to come out," a servant saw the butler coming back and hurriedly whispered to the butler.

The housekeeper sighed and stood in front of the door and said, "Second Young Master, the three mountain people took the reward money and have been sent out of the mansion."

"Come in," Young Master Gu responded in the hall.

When the housekeeper walked into the hall, he saw his second young master sitting there with a gloomy face. The housekeeper served a cup of tea to the second young master Gu and whispered, "Second young master, what do you think about this?"

The second young master Gu looked up at the butler. This was the person his eldest brother could use. Naturally, he could trust anyone who could gain his eldest brother's trust.

The housekeeper was also preoccupied with something. He didn't know what to call Gu Xinglang. Should he continue to call him the Third Young Master? Or should he call him by his name?

"Don't ask anything," Young Master Gu whispered to the housekeeper, "Go out and spread the news that Gu Xinglang killed someone in the mountains. I sent hundreds of soldiers to the mountains to capture him."

The butler really didn't ask anything. He just answered yes and walked out.

Gu Xinglang was walking alone in the mountains, and none of the villagers were injured, which meant that Di Ling was not with his younger brother. The second young master Gu was thinking in his mind that when Di Ling left Fengjing City, he was riding in a carriage. This man was injured. It was impossible for this group of people to abandon the carriage and walk all the way, so Di Ling should be in Wangxiang Pass now.

"Second Young Master," a guard's voice came from the door, announcing, "General Zhou and General Zhang are here."

Young Master Gu rubbed his face and said, "Please."

Generals Zhou and Zhang walked in from outside, and when they saw Young Master Gu, they asked, "I heard that Gu Xinglang has arrived here?"

Young Master Gu asked the two generals to sit down and said gloomily, "I have ordered Brother Cheng to take people to arrest him."

Generals Zhou and Zhang looked at each other, and General Zhou said to Second Young Master Gu, "Second Young Master, you said you wanted to close the border. The troops have been deployed to the city gate. When will you close the border?"

His own little brother was about to leave from Wangxiang Pass. Even if Young Master Gu was killed now, he could not order the pass to be closed. "How many caravans are still inside the pass?" Young Master Gu asked.

General Zhang said, "There are still dozens of them. The big ones have hundreds of people, and the small ones have a dozen or so."

"Do these people know that we are going to close the border?" Young Master Gu asked again.

General Zhou said, "I had spread the news of the closure of the border before the second young master came back, so it is impossible for these caravans not to know about it."

"Then why are they still inside the pass? Aren't they planning to leave?" Second Young Master Gu asked, "What are these people up to?"

General Zhang smiled helplessly and said, "Second Young Master, merchants are all profit-oriented. They haven't sold all the goods they brought, and they haven't purchased good goods. If you want them to leave like this, won't these people have to pay for it?"

Young Master Gu calculated in his mind how long it would take for Gu Xinglang to come out of confinement, and said coldly, "I'll give them another five days. Once they're gone, they won't be able to come out again. If they cause trouble, don't blame me for being rude to them."

Generals Zhou and Zhang hurriedly stood up to receive the order.

While Young Master Gu was talking to Zhou and Zhang, General Han from the army also arrived at the Marshal's residence. After seeing Young Master Gu, he directly presented a roster.

"What is this?" General Zhou asked.

General Han looked at the Second Young Master and nodded, then said, "All the soldiers who left the pass without permission in the past few days are here."

"How many people are there?" General Zhang asked hurriedly.

General Han sighed and said, "There are nearly a thousand people."

Generals Zhou and Zhang both took a deep breath. Wangxiang Pass now has an army of hundreds of thousands. A thousand more or less people would not be a big deal, but the problem is that these people are deserters!

The second young master Gu slammed the list in his hand hard on the coffee table beside him. He was almost angry to death, but now he could only stay in the general's mansion and act like a grandson.
