Chapter 66 Why Are You So Funny?

Chapter 66 Why Are You So Funny?

The noisy playground, the enthusiastic shouts, and the passionate blood are all portraying the best student days.

Xu Yucheng and Zheng Yu were walking around the track, watching the 4x100 relay race, with their classmates cheering them on.

"Orange, look at the one in black. He's so funny when he runs. His legs are about to kick his butt. It makes me laugh to death."

Xu Yucheng also noticed it, and a smile spread across her little face. The boy ran very fast and was the first one to run.

"Hey, hey, that guy ran too far!" Zheng Yu was almost dying of anxiety. "It's over, this kid wasted such a good opportunity."

There was a burst of groans from the playground, some sighing, some breathing a sigh of relief.

Xu Yucheng glanced at the time and said to the person next to him, "Dayu, you watch here for a while. I'll go see if the shooting has started."

Zheng Yu stared at the first runner and waved his hand, "Okay, I'll come find you after I finish watching."

Xu Yucheng came to the basketball hoop and saw several teachers gathered together for a discussion.

That means it hasn't started yet.

Just as she was about to turn around and leave, she heard her physical education teacher calling her.

"Xu Yucheng, come here."

She walked over and stood in front of several teachers.

The physical education teacher looked very busy, still holding a book in her hand, and said, "Then she will take notes."

After that, he looked at the girl in front of him, pointed to the table under a large red umbrella not far away and said, "You will sit in that seat later. You will be given points according to how many you score. The teacher believes in you."

Xu Yucheng quickly said, "Teacher, I've also signed up for the basketball shooting event."

The PE teacher looked down at the booklet in his hand, found the list of participants, handed it to her, and said, "Oh, what did you sign up for? It's okay, just go sit over there first."

Xu Yucheng saw several teachers gathered together for a discussion and she couldn't get a word in, so she obediently went to the big red umbrella. She thought to herself, since they were all basketball shooting events, they should all be together, so she could just go up when it was her turn.

Although it is called the Winter Games, the weather is not cold at all. It is not very hot either, but the sun is shining brightly.

The basketball shooting competition officially began. Under a big red umbrella, a girl wearing a blue and white school uniform with short sleeves and a high ponytail was looking up at the person shooting.

Shoot with a one-minute clock, one point for inside the three-point line and two points for outside the line.

The call came from the court, "One three-pointer, five inside the line."

The boy who finished shooting walked to the table. When he saw the girl keeping score, his face turned slightly red, he scratched his head and said, "Seven points in total."

Xu Yucheng nodded and wrote it down on the table.

Seeing that the boy still didn't leave, she said, "Please move aside. I can't see the field anymore."

The boy reacted immediately and stood by instead of leaving.

This side is still going on, the other side.

Zheng Yu came to the basketball court and did not see Chengzi. He did not reply to the message and his eyes were looking around.

In front of the teaching building, Wu Shuo walked and complained to the people in front of him, "Brother Yi, you said you weren't interested in sports before. Isn't it nice to sleep in the classroom and play games?"

The person in front was walking with one hand in his pocket and ignored him completely.

Wu Shuo could only silently scratch the air twice and quickly catch up.

At the basketball court, Zheng Yu was about to reach Chengzi, but he couldn't get in touch with anyone at all. He was getting anxious.

A voice came from the referee, "Xu Yucheng."

There were many students present, watching and waiting.

"Where is Xu Yucheng?"

I called out several times, but no one answered.

Zheng Yu stood there stamping his feet anxiously. If he gave up the game he would be penalized. He made up his mind and decided to take it on himself.

She raised her hand and stood out from the crowd, "Teacher, I'm here."

The referee saw someone coming, his frown relaxed, and his tone was a little stern, "Why don't you answer now that you're here? It's your turn, come over and shoot."

Zheng Yu looked at the high backboard under the sun and smacked her lips. There was nothing wrong with the orange, but she didn't know how to play basketball and was afraid of being hit by the basketball.

Just as she picked up the basketball, a voice suddenly came from the crowd.

"She is not Xu Yucheng."

Zheng Yu panicked and turned around to see the study committee member of his class coming out with a scornful smile on his face.

I couldn't help but curse in my heart: Damn it, you just like to meddle in other people's business.

The study committee member folded his hands and said to everyone, "We are in the same class. Her name is Zheng Yu."

Everyone present was waiting to watch the show with great interest. After all, participating in a competition on behalf of someone else was a big taboo, and they didn't know how they would be scolded.

The referee's face was sullen. "Don't you know that substitutions are not allowed? Why did you sign up for it in the first place if you weren't going to compete? Let Xu Yucheng come up on her own."

Zheng Yu lost all his momentum in front of the teacher and said weakly, "I didn't find anyone."

The referee got even angrier when he heard this. "You didn't realize you signed up, did you? Move them to the back of the line and let the next person in line fill in first. Since you signed up, you must attend. Have someone announce on the radio to find you."

Zheng Yu didn't dare to say a word and glanced at the study committee member who was smiling smugly.

Over there, Xu Yucheng had no idea how many names she had registered, but she still hadn't seen her own name.

She flipped through the pages and didn't see it until the last one. The next second, she saw four words in the lower right corner of the last page: Senior Year.

!!!

Xu Yucheng's eyes widened. "Shooting is divided into different grades?" She only looked at the time of shooting yesterday. As for the location, of course, shooting was on the basketball court.

Before she could react, she heard the sound of a broadcast. Speakers were installed everywhere on campus, and the sound resounded throughout the entire school.

"Xu Yucheng from Class 2 (3) of Senior High School, please come to the shooting range as soon as possible..."

Over and over again.

Zhou Yichen, who was about to arrive at the basketball court, also heard it, paused, and took out his cell phone from his pocket.

Xu Yucheng quickly stood up from the table and ran to the physical education teacher who was standing under the basketball hoop holding a whistle.

The girl's cheeks flushed, she gasped slightly, and immediately said, "Teacher, I signed up for the basketball shooting competition, and now it's my turn."

The physical education teacher was a little tired, with her hands on her hips. She also heard the voice on the radio just now. She looked at the person in front of her and said, "Since the radio is being used, you will inevitably be scolded if you go there. I will go with you." It was just right for her to take a break.

On the way, Xu Yucheng explained that she had gone to the wrong place.

The PE teacher smiled and said, "Remember to look carefully next time. The sophomores are on the other side of the basketball court."

When they arrived at the venue, there were already a lot of people gathered there.

Zheng Yu was still anxiously standing aside. He saw two people standing under the basketball hoop out of the corner of his eye and raised his hands and waved them.

Wu Shuo leaned against the basketball hoop, looking at the people who gathered around him, and said with a "tsk" sound, "The title of campus idol is different. Look at the looks these women are giving me."

The people who were still shooting on the court were afraid to shoot when facing the people under the racks in front of them. They just stood there stupidly, wasting a minute in vain.

The referee frowned and waved his hand in frustration, "Next."

A loud voice rang out, "Old Tan."

Old Tan was the referee on the field. When he heard someone calling him, he looked around.

Xu Yucheng followed the physical education teacher and squeezed out a path through the crowd.

"Brother Yi! Your childhood sweetheart is here."

Zhou Yichen was originally looking down at the unanswered message on the chat page, but he raised his head when he heard the voice.

There was a burst of excitement around, "Ahhh! The school hunk is looking up, so handsome, will he look at me?"

"Move towards the basketball hoop!"

The physical education teacher smiled and threw the mineral water in his hand.

The referee caught it accurately and steadily, and jokingly said, "Why are you here instead of playing in the first grade?"

The physical education teacher pulled Xu Yucheng over and raised his chin, "Come and see someone off."

Xu Yucheng looked at the referee, her face full of apology, "I'm sorry, teacher. I'm Xu Yucheng."

"No need to apologize to Lao Tan. I was the one who called you to help."

The referee took a sip of water and couldn't help but say, "No, he has an event to participate in, and you still called him over."

The physical education teacher was a woman, not very tall, with her head tilted back. "What are you doing with me? I've sent the person back now, so just shut up."

"Okay, I won't say anything."

Xu Yucheng silently took two steps back. They looked like they knew each other very well, so she didn't bother them anymore.

Most of the students around were originally looking at the handsome boy under the basketball hoop, but now they turned their attention to the three people in the middle.

Someone said, "Are you still going to continue?"

The referee coughed and said to the person in front of him, "Remember to wait for me after the end."

Then he looked at Xu Yucheng and said, "Let's start."

When she was about to graduate, Xu Yucheng found out that the physical education teacher and the so-called Old Tan were a couple.

Xu Yucheng picked up the basketball and walked all the way to the three-point line. When she was registering, she saw that everyone else shot quite far, but the shots were a little off and didn't go into the basket.

Everyone present was surprised that such a well-behaved and pretty girl could run beyond the three-point line in the first round. It seemed that she was a capable person and should be good at playing basketball. Everyone was looking forward to it with full concentration.

Wu Shuo exclaimed, "Brother Yi, I didn't realize your childhood sweetheart is so amazing."

Then he mocked him, "The eyes of the audience are no longer on you."

Zhou Yichen's eyes were full of smiles as he stared at the figure.

Xu Yucheng lifted the basketball and tested it against the basket, then he saw Zhou Zhou under the basketball hoop.

!!!

Her eyes sparkled and a smile appeared on the corner of her mouth. It was no wonder that she didn't see it at that time. There were far more people here than in the first year of high school.

In the eyes of the onlookers, her appearance was completely interpreted as being very confident.

Xu Yucheng took a breath, exerted force with both arms, and threw it forward heavily.

The basketball drew a beautiful arc in the air.

However, the next second, just when everyone thought the basketball was still moving forward, it suddenly lost its strength and fell straight down.

This distance is still more than half to the basket.

In an instant, the scene fell silent.

Someone couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Xu Yucheng's expression froze. She had clearly been throwing very hard, and the others had just done the same. What was going on?

“That’s hilarious.”

"This girl is so cute, hahahaha."

"I want to pinch her face."

Wu Shuo laughed so hard that he slapped his thigh. Looking at the motionless girl, he said with a smile, "So it was just a feint. This school girl is so adorable."

Zhou Yichen's lips curled up, and his eyes were filled with the figure in front of him.

"The clock is still ticking, keep shooting."

The referee's voice made the stunned Xu Yucheng react. She hurriedly picked up the basketball and continued shooting from where it fell.

Didn’t get in.

She walked forward again, but still didn't go in.

Still no entry.

Time was counting down, and Xu Yucheng had unknowingly walked to the bottom of the basketball hoop.

Zhou Yichen looked at the little girl who was almost standing in front of him and chuckled softly in his throat.

Xu Yucheng tilted his head 90 degrees and threw the basketball in his hand up.

Got in.

Some people around were laughing so hard that they almost got a stitch in their side.

It did go in, but it just went straight in from under the frame and then fell out of the frame.

The referee couldn't bear to watch, "Next, next."

Xu Yucheng took a few steps forward with heavy steps, and stopped when he saw that there was no obstruction.

Zheng Yu ran over and said loudly, "Chengzi, why are you so funny?"

She almost laughed to death.

Xu Yucheng looked up at her grinning mouth, curled her lips, and said to the boy standing in front of her, "Is it really that funny?"

The laughter in her ears never stopped when she was shooting.

Seeing her aggrieved look, Zhou Yichen smiled even more.

Seeing that he was still smiling, Xu Yucheng said in a more serious tone, "Zhou Zhou!"

The little girl was so angry that she walked right past him.

Zhou Yichen lowered his head and let out a muffled laugh, then took big strides to catch up.
