Chapter 40 Kidnapping
In the suburbs, in an abandoned factory.
The three men looked at the girl lying on the wooden board, and one of them frowned and said, "Scar Brother, why hasn't she woken up yet?" It was obvious that he didn't use much sleeping pills.
The man called Scar Brother leaned against the machine behind him, a cigarette between his lips, and said calmly, "Those who can be kidnapped must come from wealthy families. They have lived a life of luxury since childhood, so it's inevitable that their physical fitness is poor."
"So that's how it is." The lights in the factory were dim. He moved closer and looked at the person on the wooden board. His eyes moved to her face and he sighed, "I can squeeze water out of this little face of hers. It's so beautiful."
Scar Brother reminded, "Don't move."
"Okay, okay, I'll just take a look. I won't do anything." Although he said this, his eyes were always on Xu Yucheng's face.
After saying that, he threw the cigarette butt he had just smoked aside.
The next second, he was kicked and fell to the side. The cigarette butt fell on his pants, burning him and making him grimace.
"Can't you see this is a fucking factory?"
After saying this, the man looked around and saw many abandoned industrial equipment. He suddenly felt a little scared. If the cigarette butt set this place on fire, his life would probably be over.
Scar Brother turned to the man who had been silent the whole time and said, "Xiao Qi, go guard outside."
The man named Xiaoqi nodded, turned and walked out.
On the other side, Zhou Yichen had just come out of the company when he suddenly stopped and felt inexplicably uneasy in his heart.
He took a break before getting into the car. He thought it was because he hadn't had enough rest, so he closed his eyes and rubbed his eyebrows with two fingers.
After a while, he took out his phone and saw the message from the girl. He felt warm in his heart and typed a reply.
After waiting for a long time without receiving a reply, he thought she was asleep.
I returned home, took a shower and went to bed, but the uneasiness in my heart never went away.
That night, everything was quiet and the dark night enveloped the earth.
——
The next morning, Xu Yucheng woke up in a daze with a headache. Just as she was about to put her hands to her forehead, she realized that her hands were tied.
In an instant, she regained consciousness and looked around, including the wooden board beneath her.
I vaguely remember that she took a taxi home last night. She felt dizzy in the car and then she knew nothing.
At this moment, an idea came into Xu Yucheng's mind: she was kidnapped!
Her heartbeat began to quicken involuntarily as she looked around. She had only seen kidnapping on the news and had never imagined that such a thing would happen to her one day.
While she was daydreaming, she saw the shadow of a man.
The man who had come in to rest, upon seeing the person inside wake up, immediately shouted outside, "The person is awake."
Then he walked towards Xu Yucheng.
She looked at the man who was getting closer and closer, and her inner fear reached a certain peak, so she moved her body back.
The man squatted down in front of her, staring at her face with a flash of surprise in his eyes, and reached out to touch her and feel it.
Xu Yucheng showed disgust on her face and turned her head away.
"You!" The man was anxious and was about to turn her head when a sharp voice came from the door.
"Sixth Brother, stop it!"
The man looked at Xu Yucheng again before hesitantly standing up.
Scar Brother walked closer, glanced at the person on the ground, and said in a cold tone, "We won't hurt you, but you have to cooperate with us and stay here. We will let you go when the time comes."
Xu Yucheng understood and pretended to be calm, but her words trembled slightly, "You, want money."
Scar Brother glanced at her for a moment longer and replied, "I guess so."
The three grown men just sat aside and looked at the girl opposite.
Lao Liu took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and handed one to each of them.
Although Xu Yucheng was panicking inside, she looked around and noticed that her cell phone was thrown in an inconspicuous place. A light flashed in her eyes.
But the phone was too far away from her, in the direction close to the three men.
Her eyes twinkled slightly.
At the same time, in school.
It's already time for class, and Zheng Yu is still wondering why Chengzi is so late this time, as the teacher is almost here.
However, just as she finished her thought, Liu Zhengguang walked in with a book in his hand and told the students below that the familiar standing-up sound did not sound in the class during class.
He glanced at Xu Yucheng's seat and asked, "Has the monitor not arrived yet?"
When Zheng Yu was wondering whether to tell Chengzi to go to the bathroom, another voice sounded.
"She's on leave."
Lu Ran turned his head and took a look, then said to the teacher on the podium.
Liu Zhengguang looked away and said a faint "hmm," then added, "Next time, if you need to ask for leave, remember to tell the class monitor. If the class monitor is not around, come find me."
"Okay, let's continue with the class."
Zheng Yu murmured, "Strange, how did Lu Ran know that Chengzi asked for leave?"
There was still a whole class to go, and why did Lu Ran keep looking back?
During the class, the teacher called on Lu Ran several times, but he couldn't answer the questions.
The bell rang for the end of get out of class, just as Liu Zhengguang stepped out of the classroom.
Lu Ran hurried over.
Old Liu looked at the person blocking his way and waited for his words.
"Teacher, I want to take a day off."
Liu Zhengguang thought he was here to explain why he didn't attend class, but he turned out to be asking for leave.
"I'm feeling a little under the weather."
When Lao Liu heard that he was not feeling well, he realized that this was the case. He approved it on the spot and said before leaving, "Go see a doctor if you are sick."
Zheng Yu picked up his phone to send a message to Chengzi only after Lao Liu left.
But I didn’t reply for a long time.
Lu Ran left the school gate, took a taxi and went somewhere.
When the driver heard the place he mentioned, he was surprised. There would be people going there in such a remote place.
But as long as I can make money, who cares?
Along the way, Lu Ran flipped through the photo album on his phone, which was full of photos of Xu Yucheng that he had secretly taken.
In the abandoned factory, Xu Yucheng had to find a way to get the phone, but the three men stared at her, and her every move was seen.
All she could guarantee was that they wouldn't hurt her for money.
"I, I'm hungry." A trembling voice sounded.
Scar Brother kicked Lao Liu who was standing beside him and said, "Go get the instant noodles and bread from the car."
Lao Liu lay on his side and said "Oh" indifferently.
After the others left, Xu Yucheng said to the man again, "I want to drink some water."
I thought to myself that they should be satisfied, and sure enough, the guy called Scar Brother had already stood up and walked out.
In front of him, there was only Xu Yucheng and a man left.
The rope behind her was tightening around her wrists and hurting her.
She looked at the remaining man and said tentatively, "I want to go to the bathroom."
The man's eyes moved. After all, they would never have thought that a weak little girl could pose any threat.
He stood up and walked over to her, loosening the rope and untying it.
Xu Yucheng's wrist was finally able to move. She brought her hand forward and the red marks from being strangled were clearly visible. She gritted her teeth in pain.
"Let's go." The man stood up and looked at her expressionlessly.
Perhaps she had been sitting for too long, and she almost fell down again when she stood up.
The man followed behind her, and Xu Yucheng slowly approached the direction of the phone.
"Go this way, there is a small room inside." The man reminded her, fearing that she would run away.
Xu Yucheng, who was walking normally, suddenly squatted down.
The man's eyes were all on her, and he didn't think much about it at all. He just thought she had fallen because of her unstable footing, and he still stood behind her.
The long school uniform jacket dragged on the ground. Xu Yucheng slowly stretched out one hand downwards, not daring to breathe.
The moment he took the phone, he slowly retracted his hand and stuffed the phone into his sleeve.
Then he stood up.
The man followed her to a shabby little room with cement walls all around. It was dark and had no windows.
Xu Yucheng walked in and closed the door. A look of panic immediately appeared on her face, and she breathed heavily.
At this moment, she tried hard to suppress the emotions rising in her heart, not daring to slack off for a moment, and took out her mobile phone to send a text message.
