Chapter 104: Not Suicide

"You mean, they can get help from others as easily as you did just now?"

“Of course, there aren’t many people who have that right now, but JO is one of them.”

She finally understood that the person who could tamper with the chewing gum on the supermarket shelves didn't have to be Ji Ou himself. As long as he simply moved his fingers like Dong Ya just did, someone would naturally help him do it.

"Competition in the system is very fierce now. If you want to have more power, you must gain the trust of more people."

"We're going to do this?"

"We have to solve the case. The more difficult the case, the more we have to solve it. As long as we can prove that we are really working for everyone, the people inside will naturally trust us."

Ouyang was a little worried. She thought about it for a long time on the way back. Perhaps she had never realized that she had a responsibility that she had once ignored.

The summer breeze brought some coolness. Ouyang followed Dongya into a restaurant and ordered a few special dishes. Ouyang looked at him, not expecting him to be so calm. He clearly had such convenient power, but he rarely used it.

Seeing that she didn't say anything, Dongya poured her a glass of sparkling water. "I've always wondered when to use this right. Later, I realized that we can use it when it concerns the life, health, and property safety of others. This is why I want to establish a new system management system."

"I will do my best to assist you!"

"Haha," Dong Ya smiled, "You are the one with the talent for reasoning, and I am just a technical talent. It is better for me to assist you."

Ouyang was also amused by him, drank some water, ate some food, and then the two of them strolled back together.

After that, they rarely ate at home or stayed in the basement, but ran around everywhere.

Dongya is responsible for taking on tasks, and Ouyang is responsible for solving cases.

That day, it was raining heavily in the south. Dong Ya went to the university library with an umbrella to pick her up: "Hurry up, the water will get deeper soon."

When they returned to their residence, both of them were soaked.

Dong Ya was busy sorting out the documents and asked her to go take a shower first. Later, he caught a cold and had a fever late at night. The two of them stayed in the clinic downstairs all night.

When he woke up, Ouyang had already gone to school.

This time they were investigating a suicide case because the deceased jumped directly from a high-rise building and did not leave any suicide note. The family of the deceased suspected that it was not suicide, but someone had fabricated the illusion of suicide.

Most people in the school knew the deceased, and they suggested that a forensic doctor should be asked to examine the body, because they also did not believe that someone who was always optimistic would commit suicide by jumping off a building overnight.

"The deceased was a 20-year-old male. He suffered severe head injuries and abrasions on other parts of his body. No toxic substances were detected in his heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys. It was determined that he died from falling." The forensic doctor said to Ouyang.

She already knew these official things from the information provided by the other party's parents, and she wanted to know more than just that.

"Are these scratches on the skin surface left before death or after death?"

"this……"

"Also, I want his full body X-ray."

"Excuse me, who are you to him?"

Ouyang took out the power of attorney from the deceased's family: "Please do it as soon as possible."

The medical examiner had her assistant sort out the things and then began to examine the body according to her instructions. Before getting the results, she called Dongya and asked, "Have you returned home?"

"Well," the voice on the other end of the phone was a little weak, "I should be at your place soon."

"Didn't I tell you to rest at home?"

"I'm worried."

She went to the autopsy room herself, but the forensic doctor's assistant told her not to disturb them. It was the first time Ouyang had ever seen someone so abiding by the rules. She glanced at the people working inside and left, saying, "Tell me the results as soon as you have them."

"We'll be there as soon as possible." Seeing that she was getting impatient, the assistant suggested, "There's a cafe not far away. You can go sit there."

Ouyang didn't say anything more to him. She looked at the time and saw that Dongya should be here. She went downstairs and happened to meet Dongya in the lobby downstairs. She called him, "Dongya, you don't have to go up."

"Are there any results?"

"The results will come, it's just a matter of time," the two men walked out of the building. "You need to help me find out who has had close contact with the deceased recently, especially women."

The two got in the car and drove towards the school.

"Do you suspect it was a murder of passion?"

"There was evidence of a ring on his ring finger, but it was missing from the deceased's belongings."

Dongya quickly searched and found the ring on the deceased's hand in a group photo: "It looks like a couple's ring."

Since it was a couple's ring, he could just look for it among his previous girlfriends. But he searched for a long time, starting from the deceased's first girlfriend, and still didn't see the same ring.

"He's had three girlfriends," Dongya analyzed, "and none of them lasted more than a year. He broke up with his last girlfriend not long ago."

Ouyang parked the car in the parking space and looked around the huge school. It was still a small circle, but why couldn't the murderer be found? Unless, the murderer was not from the school, or had not been in school recently.

Dongya followed her and said, "But recently there is a girl who likes him. She said she often appears at the deceased's residence. She must be pursuing him."

"What's your name?"

"Shi Yu is the deceased's junior schoolmate."
