"Thanks."
"No need," the nurse looked at Ouyang on the sofa, "Your girlfriend may be tired."
"Haha." He didn't know how to respond to her words, "Thank the doctor for me."
"fine."
When Ouyang woke up, Dongya had already changed her clothes.
"Um," she checked the time, "is it already noon?"
"Well, I just made a reservation at a restaurant. We'll go there for dinner later."
Still a little dazed, she went to the bathroom to wash her face. They were quite simple; they left without taking anything, and returned empty-handed.
This restaurant was a place they often visited, and the owner already knew them. Dong Ya simply drank some porridge, and seeing that Ouyang was eating well, he felt relieved.
Back in the basement, Dong Ya went to the study again. Ouyang followed him and said as if warning: "Get some rest."
"knew."
Ouyang stared at him as he returned to his room. She sat in the living room and checked the latest messages. Zhuo Qiang, whom she had blocked for a long time, sent her a message through other means.
"Ouyang, receive the message and go to the courtyard."
She initially ignored it, but the next photo piqued her interest. It was a set of Jun porcelain tea sets, which looked exquisite. It was rare to find such a complete set of handmade Jun porcelain.
Ouyang changed his clothes and stopped for a while when passing by Dong Ya's room, but decided not to disturb him from resting.
Soon, she arrived at the courtyard and saw Zhuo Qiang sitting in the yard, drinking tea with the set of porcelain.
"Uncle Zhuo!" Ouyang sat across from him and took the cup of tea from him. "Where did you get such a good thing?"
"I knew you'd like it," Zhuo Qiang took a sip of his tea. "I put some effort into it. I'll have Aunt Lin pack it for you and take it back."
"It's said that a gentleman doesn't take away what others love," Ouyang leaned back in his chair, feeling very comfortable. "You should keep it for yourself."
Hearing Ouyang coming, Aunt Lin brought out the freshly baked cookies: "Your Uncle Zhuo said that the food can bring you back, but I don't believe it."
"Do you believe it now?" Zhuo Qiang said proudly, "Children raised by the Zhuo family have no other hobbies but this kind of art."
"Yes, yes, yes." Aunt Lin went back happily and started to prepare what to eat for dinner.
Ouyang looked around and saw that the entire courtyard had become lush and green again, and it was obvious that it had been carefully maintained.
"Uncle Zhuo, you called me back, didn't you just want me to see this?"
"Look," Zhuo Qiang said seriously, "There's a problem at the company. Someone leaked the company's user data. I want you to help me investigate."
Ouyang glanced at him. If it weren't for a serious problem, Zhuo Qiang wouldn't be so anxious to get her back. She nodded. Zhuo's Group was in trouble, and she wouldn't ignore it. She rolled her eyes, taking this opportunity to see how powerful Dongya's system was.
Drinking in the courtyard was a pleasure after all. It was not until Dongya called her that she remembered that she should go back.
Dongya went out and pulled the already drunk Ouyang out of the car. He stumbled and brought her back to the basement, "Dongya, why are you here too? Come and have a drink."
"Still drinking?"
"No, no, you're still sick."
He helped her back to the room, took off her shoes and let her lie on the bed.
When Ouyang woke up the next day, he felt like his head was about to explode. Remembering the task Uncle Zhuo had given him yesterday, he hurried to the living room. Seeing Dongya making some soup, he said, "Well, there's a data leak at the Zhuo Group. Go check it out later."
"I'm alone?" Dong Ya asked, "You're not going?"
"Don't you have the system to help you with this kind of trivial matter? I won't go."
"You forgot that the system is public. You must have drunk too much yesterday."
"How could I have forgotten about this?" She sat on the chair. "Uncle Zhuo's company cannot be made public." She was a little angry. "How come your system is useless now that it's in my hands?"
"It's not useless, it's just not suitable for you."
He was right. The system was a giant platform. Some people got news on it, others published it. He was merely a processor of that information. What was true and what was false was unpredictable.
"You're just using me." Ouyang knocked on the table, "to accumulate your pitiful popularity and credit."
Dong Ya smiled. Things that violate morality and human nature always need to be exposed. For him, there is no such thing as exploitation, only cooperation.
She began to wonder if that huge system was just for the sake of pleasing those inside it, and wasn't as great as he had said before.
He didn't explain. People always stay in their own comfort zone. They feel uncomfortable and unaccustomed to other places. Ouyang is such a person. She is suitable for uncovering the truth without worries. And he is suitable for using these truths to achieve his desired goals.
Even after such a long time, the people from Zhuo Group were still respectful when they saw Ouyang.
"Ouyang!"
"Ouyang!"
"Why is she back?"
"Who's that man in the back?"
"Her boyfriend, I heard they're already living together."
Ouyang had very good hearing. He turned and stared at the gossipers: "Not working?"
Everyone left the lounge area and returned to their desks.
Ouyang went directly to the security department, where he stayed for two hours, and then went to the upper management office. The staff of Zhuo Group were discussing the purpose of Ouyang's return, and all kinds of speculation spread throughout the building.
