Chapter 107 Family Relationships

Wang Yao walked over and carefully picked out some vegetables that could not be stored for a long time: "Isn't your father here?"

"I told her not to bring so many things when we were leaving, but your mother wouldn't listen. She said that even though you have everything here, it doesn't feel like home." Xia Yue's father shook his head. "She's just worried that you're living too casually here."

"Mom, who cooks at home these days?" Xia Yue stuffed the empty refrigerator in one go. "Eating out is quick and easy, and it's not as unhealthy as you think."

"That's because you have better conditions now," Dad said. "There are still many kids like you who spend all day eating instant noodles and fast food."

"Why are you going to his house?" Xia Yue asked, "Are you not used to living here?"

"Xia Yue, just go when I tell you to. Your mother just wants to see how your brother is doing."

"Okay."

Father Xia packed some things and took them to Jin Lu's home.

Three people stood in front of Jin Lu's door. Xia Yue went up and knocked on the door, but someone came to open it after a while.

"Why are you here?"

Although they knew the address of Jin Lu's house, this was their first time there. As soon as they entered, the paintings on the wall were the most eye-catching. Large and small, all of them were of Ouyang. The living room was filled with bottles of wine: red, white, beer, everything. The room was filled with the smell of alcohol. "We brought you some food. Let's put it in your kitchen."
