"Xiao Ai said that, because of the relationship with the magazine, I know it."
The wedding became busy, and Acheng's parents took him to meet Atang's grandfather. As a military man, he exuded a kind of majesty, especially to his granddaughter, his severity was obvious.
At the beginning of the wedding, Ah Tang stood quietly beside the bride, looking at their happy faces, very happy. After the wedding, she went to her grandfather and said a few words to him. Ah Cheng could see that they were arguing and wanted to go over to help her, but was stopped by the groom: "She has been away from home for a long time, so she can't avoid being blamed."
She looked at Ah Cheng and walked towards him, tears still welling up in the corners of her eyes. She tried hard to hold back her emotions. “I didn’t bring any money or a cell phone with me when I left. Could you please give me a ride?”
He nodded and followed her, driving her to the door.
The rain was still falling, and she sat in his car crying, with a kind of despair that he could hardly understand.
She invited him to her house for coffee. It was clear she had meticulously designed the entire place, a modern style, simple and clear yet tinged with an elusive mood. He seemed to have fallen for her, and the two began to talk freely. Perhaps it was an impulse, but they simply spent a beautiful and unforgettable evening together.
The next day, he woke up and saw that the person next to him was gone. There were ironed clothes next to him and breakfast on the table in the living room. Ah Tang left him a note: "Eat your breakfast well."
A Cheng's mouth curled up, and after eating the breakfast she prepared, he went to work as usual. At noon, he was with his friend Dong Yang. He was curious about the shirt he hadn't changed with him: "You didn't go home yesterday?"
"Can we change the subject?" Ah Cheng knew him very well. If he knew what happened last night, it would be like informing the whole world.
"Okay," Dong Yang began to create the company, "When will your bank provide the second installment of funds to the company?"
"Just one or two days."
"Okay then," Dong Yang checked the time, "I have a meeting later, so I'll be leaving first."
When he was about to get off work, he checked his phone and didn't see any messages from Tang. Sitting in the car, he sent her a message: "Where are you?"
"theater."
"What are you doing there?"
"Meeting some friends, will you come over? Let's have dinner together."
He turned off his phone, went home to change his clothes, and then arrived at the restaurant on time. Her three friends were all in the entertainment industry, and their conversations were all about gossip.
"Tang, you're so mean. You have such a handsome boyfriend, but you're still hiding him."
She glanced at Ah Cheng, and seeing that he was not used to such a dinner party, she began to look for an opportunity to leave: "I think it's getting late, we should go back early."
"Not going to the bar?"
"You guys go ahead!"
Ah Cheng saw the disappointment on her three friends' faces, but he still separated from them outside the restaurant. He held her hand while driving. Her three friends had just said he was her boyfriend, and she hadn't denied it, so he was a little excited.
Ah Cheng drove her to the Ferris wheel and confessed his love to her there. He put his arm around her waist and asked, "I'm having a party at home tomorrow. Can you show up as my girlfriend?"
"Are my grandpa and the others going too?"
"I should go."
Although Ouyang had never heard her explain why she didn't go home, he knew a little from Dong Yang. After returning from studying abroad, she had never returned home and had been living alone. She hadn't contacted her family for almost a year.
Acheng originally wanted to take this opportunity to take her to meet his parents and talk about marriage, but seeing that she looked a little distraught, he didn't want to ask for too much.
"It's been a long time since I last met them," Tang said, lying in her arms. "It's great to meet you."
He stroked her hair and felt that she was a little sad. But soon she showed a beautiful smile again, took his hand and walked on the street until he took her home.
Acheng saw her sleeping in the car and woke her up reluctantly. He watched her return home before leaving with peace of mind.
After returning home, Ah Cheng told his parents about his relationship with Ah Tang. They seemed nervous. Ah Cheng's mother said, "Ah Tang's grandfather likes you, but her parents are university professors and are modest and cautious. I don't know if they will have any objections."
"Let the children sort out their own problems," his father said. "Don't worry about it."
Ah Cheng returned to his room, turned on his computer, and looked up information about Ah Tang. Tonight, while having dinner, he heard her friends talking about her, as if she had gotten into some trouble.
He read some rumors about Tom Cruise and became a celebrity agent after returning to China. Later, due to some scandals, he went to Yunnan. He did some charity work in Yunnan and returned to work for a magazine. After a few articles he wrote, he angered several companies and left the magazine.
He lay on the bed, looking at the ceiling. He had to say that he liked her bold and responsible character, but he was a little worried that she would get into trouble because of it.
On the third day of being with her, Ah Cheng brought her to meet his parents and relatives. Holding her hand, he stood in front of everyone and said, "Mom and Dad, this is Ah Tang."
"Hello, uncle and aunt." Ah Tang was very well-behaved and looked at them with a smile.
Ah Cheng's parents nodded in agreement. Ah Tang looked around and found his grandfather and parents sitting in the living room. He took Ah Cheng's hand and walked with him towards his family.
