Chapter 119 Kidnapping

A few days later, Mu Jiangzhen went out to sea with the men from Shika Island. She spent a long wait on the island, but unlike the others, hers didn't involve a long period of adjustment. Her hosts understood her concern, but offered no comfort, leaving her to wander the coastal beach.

Three days later, the people who went out to sea came back at night. Ouyang followed the hostesses to the dock and watched Mu Jiang slowly approaching.

In just a few days, Mu Jiang looked much thinner, and standing among the sea people, his strength seemed so insignificant.

Mu Jiang walked towards Ouyang without much greeting. They walked back to the house one after the other. Mu Jiang took the change of clothes Ouyang handed her, and Ouyang took the already soaked coat from his hand. It was rare for the two of them to have such a tacit understanding.

During the break, Mu Jiang, who was lying on the upper bunk, tossed and turned, making it impossible for Ouyang, who was staying on the lower bunk, to sleep.

"Ouyang, are you asleep?" Mu Jiang asked.

"No," she opened her eyes, "Why aren't you asleep yet?"

"I can't sleep," he thought, his mind racing back to the various scenes he had encountered at sea in the past few days. "Do you think we should leave tomorrow?"

Ouyang nodded. This was something they had already discussed. They would order the boat to leave after he came back.

This trip to the sea brought him a lot of gains. The storm at sea and the heavy rain in the sea aroused a certain passion hidden in his heart.

"Let's change schools when we get back," Mu Jiang said, "to an international school." He began to make plans for his future.

"OK."

Although Ouyang didn't know what made him change his mind, she was of course happy that he was so determined to study hard.

The next day, they got up early and left the newly awakened island accompanied by their host family.

Watching Shika Island gradually disappear into the sea, Ouyang felt a little reluctant to leave. Mu Jiang sat in the boat, unwilling to even look back.

After a few hours, they left the airport and saw Dongya who had come to pick them up early.

"How is it?" Dongya took the luggage from Ouyang and looked at them. "Is it fun over there?"

"Not bad!" Ouyang said perfunctorily, because she didn't want to dwell too much on those simple islanders. "How's the HDA thing going?"

"Nothing was found." Dong Ya had been investigating for a long time, but had not found the people who were causing trouble.

Ouyang nodded. She had anticipated this outcome. However, she couldn't understand why the others didn't make any big moves. Was there some taboo here?

Changing schools wasn't that simple, so Ouyang called Uncle Zhuo, hoping he could help him: "Uncle Zhuo, please help me with Mu Jiang's school change."

"Well," Zhuo Qiang answered her call in the office, "Since he wants to change, then he can go to the international school you used to attend. I'll give them a call."

"Thank you for your help."

Mu Jiang came out of the room and heard her call. He sat next to her and turned on the TV: "You have to trouble Zhuo Qiang with these trivial matters?"

She looked at him. This child was always so casual. He liked to call everyone by their name.

"Just go directly to school on Monday," Ouyang said, "I've already arranged everything for you."

Mu Jiang put his feet on the coffee table and looked at her: "What's so good about him? Doesn't he just rely on his wealth?" There was a hint of hatred in his words, and that hatred made Ouyang shudder.

On Monday, Ouyang personally sent him to school. When she saw most of the international children in her new class, she thought of hiring an English tutor for him to make up for his language deficiencies.

As a result, their home quickly became Mu Jiang's study place. To ensure Mu Jiang could study with peace of mind, Ouyang hired not only a tutor but also a nanny and moved out of the apartment. She felt that as long as Mu Jiang studied hard in the next few years, he would eventually have the opportunity to study abroad, and she simply wanted to make that path smoother.

Therefore, Ouyang You moved back to the basement, where she could finally do things with peace of mind.

Dongya returned from outside, put down his supermarket purchases, glanced at Ouyang, who sat dazed on the sofa, and moved closer to her. "What have you found?" She was holding the case files he had collected over the past few days, mostly missing persons and homicides. The people involved had some connection to the HDA, and it was easy to tell that the killers were targeting the HDA.

Now people in the system are starting to feel uneasy. They won't feel safe until they find those who are behind the HDA.

This problem not only troubled the two of them, but also troubled people from other organizations. Tang He had sent out messages to the HDA many times, saying that he would find the person behind this at all costs.

Just as Ouyang was worried, a message popped up on her phone. It was from Mu Jiang. When she opened it, she saw Mu Jiang tied to a fir tree in the wild, his eyes blindfolded. She stood up suddenly and called for some change of clothes in the apartment.

"Hey, where is Mu Jiang?" Ouyang was a little anxious.

The nanny answered the phone. She was preparing for the room. "Oh, he said he wanted to go out for some fresh air."

"when?"

Ouyang hung up the phone and began to search the map. In an hour, he used the apartment as the center to guess where Mu Jiang would be kidnapped.

"Something happened to Mu Jiang?" Dong Ya was also very worried. "Where could he be?"

"Wait a minute!" Ouyang thought quickly, "How many places around here have fir trees?" She began to identify locations on the map, "A park, a mountain."
