She observed almost all the employees of Sheng Group, but found no suspects in them. As for the missing earrings, they had not been found yet.
The medical examiner's report also left her perplexed. There were no fingerprints on the deceased's clothing, and no foreign matter was found in her nasopharynx. How could she have died in such an unexplained state in the suburbs, a place no normal woman would go?
Dong Yu brought her lunch. Under his white hat, he whispered, "It was discovered that the deceased had close contact with Shengda before the accident."
Ouyang's eyes widened. Why hadn't she noticed this? Although she had obtained a lot of photos of men from the deceased's phone (mostly from Sheng's Enterprise), there was nothing related to Shengda.
After Dong Ya left, Ouyang arrived at Shengda's office and found that he had already left the company to go out for dinner with a partner.
"Where does he eat?" Ouyang asked his secretary.
"I'm not sure about that," the other party said, "Besides, you can't tell anyone about Mr. Sheng's whereabouts."
Ouyang looked into her eyes and didn't lie. She didn't make things difficult for her. She just said, "Can you make a phone call for me?" She put the phone in front of her to her ear and said, "It's very simple. Just say there's an important document that needs his signature, and ask you to deliver it in person."
"But?"
"I promise, nothing will happen to you."
The other party had no choice but to do as she said, and Ouyang found out Shengda's location that way.
When she arrived at the hotel, Shengda had just arrived in front of her. The doorman drove away for him. Ouyang drove up and got into Shengda's car before the doorman got out.
"Who are you?"
"You'll know in a moment," she searched every place in the car and finally found the earrings under the back seat. They looked very ordinary. "Got it?" Then she got out of the car.
The doorman thought she was the car owner's girlfriend, so he didn't ask any questions, parked the car, and returned to his job.
Ouyang sat in his car for a while. What if Ah Mei had left this thing herself? What was her intention? Or was she just accidentally leaving it there? What was the connection between Ah Mei's death and Sheng Da? What secrets might they have?
Shengda was in a private room in the hotel. The waiter led her in. There were three people sitting inside. Ji Ou was sitting on the far left, Shengda was in the middle, and she didn't know the person on the far right.
The people in the room looked at her, especially Sheng Da, who was a little surprised. "What are you doing here?" He then remembered that the secretary had just asked for his address. He felt that the secretary was doing what she wanted, which made him a little angry. "Are you following me?"
Ouyang sat on another chair, which seemed to be reserved for someone else. Ouyang didn't beat around the bush and asked, "What is your relationship with A-Mei?"
Shengda looked at her, and Ah Mei's death appeared in his mind. This woman questioned him as if he were a murderer: "It doesn't matter."
"Her death has nothing to do with you?" Ouyang asked, "What do these earrings mean?"
The other two people stared at Ouyang. They all knew that Shengda was a man who never remembered his name after playing with him. The person on Ouyang's right said, "Miss, there must be some misunderstanding."
Ouyang was not in a hurry. The waiter outside brought a woman in and arranged her to sit on Ouyang's left.
"What's going on?" The woman saw that the atmosphere was not right. "Did I miss something?" She was an artist from an entertainment company and Shengda's latest girlfriend.
"It's okay." Shengda said.
As the waiter began serving the food, they discussed a new drama, in which Ji Ou apparently was an investor. Ouyang, a meticulous observer, could spot someone with hidden agendas. But after a long observation, she couldn't discern any flaws from Sheng Da. She began to question the deceased's background. Why would a woman who didn't work at Sheng Group be so close to the company? What was her motive?
"Miss Ouyang," the woman next to her asked, "Are you unhappy?"
Ouyang looked at her. As a woman, she still understood them a little. The purpose of approaching men was generally not just to make friends, but more for money and status.
She drank some wine, and Dong Ya sent her a message on her mobile phone, saying that he had found the deceased's lost laptop and discovered a large amount of documents and information in it, most of which were confidential documents of Shengda Group.
She raised her head and looked at Shengda. Did he know?
"Ms. Ouyang," Ji Ou looked at her, "eat something!"
She stood up and left without saying a word. At that moment, she could imagine that if the person who wanted to get the information was Ji Ou, then A Mei might be his person.
The next day, she went to work as usual. Shengda came to her office and explained to her the relationship between him and Ameizi, but he could not kill her.
"What if she knows the company's secrets?" Ouyang asked.
Shengda's face changed color, as if he didn't expect her to ask this: "Yes."
Ouyang left, and she never came to work again after this time, but the people in the company believed that Shengda asked her to leave because of the excessive words he said in her office that day.
Dong Ya sat next to Ouyang. She sat there motionless like an ice sculpture: "What's wrong with you?"
"What do you think," Ouyang asked, "could that woman have committed suicide?"
"Suicide? How is that possible?"
Ouyang looked at him and said, "First, none of the information she had was sold. Second, her earrings were in Shengda's car. Third, she knew that Shengda only had the Sheng Group."
